大学生如何花钱和储蓄英语作文Navigating the financial landscape as a university student can be a delicate balance between spending and saving. On one hand, the college experience is often marked by newfound independence and the temptation to indulge in various activities and purchases. On the other hand, the importance of building financial responsibility and securing a stable future cannot be overstated. As university students, it is crucial to find a harmonious approach that allows for both enjoyment and prudent money management. One of the key aspects of university life that often drives student spending is the social aspect. The desire to fit in, make new friends, and participate in campus events can lead to substantial expenditures. From joining clubs and organizations to attending concerts and social gatherings, the pressure to keep up with peers can be overwhelming. However, it is important for students to recognize that true friendship and community should not be defined by the ability to spend money. Finding ways to socialize and engage with peers without breaking the bank, such as organizing potluck dinners, hosting movie nights, or participating in free campusactivities, can help strike a balance between social fulfillment and financial responsibility.Another significant area of spending for university students is academic-related expenses. Textbooks, school supplies, and course materials can quickly add up, particularly in programs with specialized equipment or lab fees. While these expenses are necessary for academic success, students can explore cost-saving strategies, such as renting textbooks, buying used materials, or seeking out digital resources. Additionally, many universities offer financial aid, scholarships, and work-study programs that can help alleviate the burden of these academic costs.Equally important is the management of personal expenses, such as housing, food, and transportation. University students often face the challenge of balancing the desire for independence and convenience with the need to maintain a budget. Opting for more affordable housing options, such as sharing an apartment with roommates or living in on-campus dormitories, can significantly reduce the financial strain. Similarly, being mindful of food choices, whether by preparing meals at home or taking advantage of campus dining plans, can help students avoid overspending on dining out or impulse purchases. When it comes to transportation, many universities provide access to public transportation or campus shuttle services, which can be morecost-effective than relying on personal vehicles. Additionally, students should explore options like bike-sharing programs or carpooling with friends to minimize the expenses associated with personal transportation.Alongside managing spending, university students should also prioritize saving and building financial resilience. One of the most effective ways to do this is by creating a personal budget and sticking to it. This involves tracking income sources, such as student loans, scholarships, or part-time jobs, and allocating funds towards necessary expenses, savings, and discretionary spending. By maintaining a clear understanding of their financial situation, students can make informed decisions and avoid overspending.Furthermore, university students should consider opening a savings account and regularly contributing a portion of their income towards it. This habit not only helps build a financial cushion for unexpected expenses or emergencies but also instills the valuable practice of delayed gratification and long-term financial planning. Additionally, students can explore investment opportunities, such as low-risk mutual funds or exchange-traded funds (ETFs), to grow their savings over time.It is also important for university students to be mindful of credit card usage and avoid falling into the trap of accumulating debt. While credit cards can be a useful tool for building credit history and managing cash flow, they should be used responsibly and with a clear repayment plan. Overspending on credit cards can lead to significant financial burdens that can persist long after graduation. In addition to personal savings, university students should also consider exploring opportunities for additional income streams. This can include taking on part-time jobs, freelance work, or even starting a small business. These supplementary sources of income not only provide financial support but also offer valuable real-world experience and the development of entrepreneurial skills.Ultimately, the key to successful money management for university students lies in striking a balance between spending and saving. By prioritizing financial literacy, creating a budget, and exploring various strategies to save and earn, students can navigate the college experience with a greater sense of financial security and independence. This approach not only serves them well during their university years but also lays the foundation for a financially stable and prosperous future.。
大学生如何理性消费英语作文简短How College Kids Can Spend Money the Smart WayHi there! Today I want to talk about being smart with your money when you go to college. College is expensive, so you need to be careful how you spend. The first thing to know is that colleges charge a lot for tuition, room, meals, books, and fees. Mom and Dad probably had to save for years to pay those big bills! So you don't want to make it even harder on them by wasting money on stuff you don't really need. When you get to campus, there will be lots of things trying to get you to spend your money. The bookstore has t-shirts, hats, hoodies, backpacks and all kinds of stuff with the college logo. That's cool to get one or two things, but you don't need ten sweatshirts! The dining halls will try to get you to pay extra for fancy items like smoothies and milkshakes too. There are also all kinds of subscriptions that add up. Streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and more. Music services like Spotify and Apple Music. Cloud storage like Dropbox. It's easy to sign up for a bunch and soon you're paying 30 or 40 per month!Speaking of tech, smartphones, laptops, tablets and accessories can really drain your bank account quickly. I've heard of students spending 1,000 or more just to have the latest tech gear. That's way too much money!Going out can get expensive too. Eating at restaurants and getting takeout or delivery all the time instead of using the dining hall adds up fast. So does going to the movies, museums, concerts, bars and clubs every weekend. It's ok to do those things sometimes, but not every day.Transportation like Uber, Lyft and rental cars is another spending trap. Walking, biking or taking the bus is usually cheaper if you're just going a few miles. Finally, little daily purchases can really nickle and dime you. Buying coffee, snacks, and convenience store items here and there doesn't seem like much, but it adds up over weeks and months. So how can you be smarter about spending? Make a budget and stick to it! Decide how much you can afford for rent, groceries, going out, etc. and don't go over. Maybe get a debit card just for spending money and only put your budget amount on it each month.Buy used when you can for things like textbooks, furniture and kitchen supplies. Look online and at thrift stores for discounts. Research tech purchases carefully instead of just getting the latest model. See if your campus has a free bike share or rent textbooks to save money.Pack inexpensive meals and snacks instead of always buying premade ones. Brew coffee at home. Only subscribe to a couple of streaming services max, not ten of them. Make your phone last 3-4 years before upgrading if possible.Walk, bike or take public transit when you can. Only use ride shares or rentals when absolutely needed. Go to free campus events and look for student discounts on movies, concerts and such. It's also smart to have a savings account for emergencies like medical bills, car repairs or flights home. That way you don't end up with credit card debt from unexpected costs. Finally, stay focused on why you're in college - to get an education and prepare for your future career! Don't get distracted by too many side gigs, hobbies or social events that cost money and time. The real "investment" is your degree.I know it's hard when you're finally out on your own. There's so much fun stuff to spend money on! But if you budget carefully and make wise choices, you can get that great college experience without going broke or racking up debt. Be money smart now and your future self will thank you!。
大学生过多花费这一普遍的校园现象英语作文College students overspending is a common phenomenon on campus. 大学生过多花费是校园里一个普遍的现象。
Many students are eager to experience new things and indulge in the freedoms and independence that come with college life. 许多学生渴望体验新事物,并沉溺于大学生活所带来的自由和独立。

They don't want to feel left out or be seen as less successful or cool than their friends. 他们不想被遗弃,或被视为不如朋友那样成功或酷。
As a result, they end up overspending to maintain their social status among their peers. 结果,他们最终花费过多以维持与同龄人之间的社会地位。
One of my achievement during this long holiday is I added more DVD to my collection. The weird thing is that I can not really recall many of the DVD names. Well, at least I have watched SIN CITY(excuse me for using the blood colour, for the movie is really bloody!!) It was okay, while it seems quite popular among the guys. Oh, I also watched New Jersey Girl. It is not very interesting except Liv Tyler (sorry, if I spell the name wrong). Then I start to think about what my favourite movie is. I have checked IMDB top 500 list. I have to admite that I am not really a fan of old old movies. I will only watch 1990s or afterwards. Yeah..you may say I am superfacial, but I am honest! I do not see why the LORD OF RINGS is so good. I mean, yeah, it is good, but not that good. In the end, I figure: MATRIX is on the top of my list. I like the movie's concern about our digi-era threats. I also like INDIAN JONES series, though they were old movies. In the end, yes, LOST IN TRANSLATION/ETERNAL SUNSHINE ON THE SPOTLESS MIND, they are good as well. I enjoy the relaxing pace of the movie and the vague meaning that the movie is trying to say.Well, should be enough for now, I shall continue soonI'm not a movie lover, but sometimes is nice to watch a movie specially if you can share this moment with someone. Here are some of my favorite movies: Matrix (sci-fi), Memoirs of a Gueixa (drama), Deus é brasileiro (brazilian movie, comedy), House of Flying Daggers (martial arts). Abusively, as college students,we have much leisure time. And it is so much spare time we have,so we can do many things what we like to do. However, in my opinion, different young people would choose different activities as their relaxations. Some students like passive activities such as play computer games or watch TV , these kind relaxations are harmful. But some passive activities are benefit, like go to the library do some reading or collect stamps. And the other young adults like do some active entertainment. Such as play basketball, go to Karaoke or dinner together in some special days. There is no doubt active activities have more joys. And they are not only cheerful ourself, but also promote the friendship between schoolmate.Men and womenI hold on the opinion that men and women are different in many ways. Men and women are different not only from the physiology but also mostly in many other ways. Still I think this phenomenon will continue for a long time in our society. And the women should be paidmore attention. In the 21st days, comparing with the men , the state of women in the modern world sill need be promoted, they are different in many ways. Firstly, the men sill play the important in the political area, and this injustice is even worse in the developing countries. Secondly, the women are feeble from both the physiology and energy, so they undertake more pressure in the society. Thirdly, women are different from the men on the view of their families, and they do more for the children , the old and the housework.. On the employment, although the women are more excellence than the men, however , the men will get more chance and higher salary. Above all could explain that men and women are different in many ways.Although men and women are different in many ways, that is not equitable, as women also play an important role in the society. We could not suppose what the world will be without the women. And men and women should be the same in many ways. Let us makeeffort for the aim.Useful expressions:1. high expectations and demands are placed on my ideal husband2. it’s demanding but rewarding3. ask too much of him4. These include such things as differences in hair styles, clothing, family responsibilities, occupational roles, acceptable behavior and other culturally learned activities and traits. All of these differences are linked to the non-biological notions of masculinity and femininity which vary from one culture to another. •suffer more illnesses•have a higher rate of colorblindness•have a larger brain•are more likely to have a heart attack•have more fears•live longer•like diamond shapes•miss more workMan for the field and woman for the hearth (炉边, 喻家庭)Man for the sword and for the needle sheMan with the head and woman with the heartMan to command and woman to obey;A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, and she does.To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him little. To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.Women love cats.Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.A woman knows all about her children, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.A man should be masculine. He should be strong and responsible enough to protect women, children and the old in a family and in the society. He cares more about his career and success than his looks. However, a woman should be feminine, tender, considerate and smart. She should spend more time on household affairs, on children and the old at home. This may deprive girls of the chance of hands-on work, a vital learning experience that would affect their entire lives. (Another example is that the typical American teachers assume that boys will do better in math and science subjects while girls have better verbal and reading skills. This attitude in teachi ng leads to boys’ problems in reading and girls’ lack of interests in science.)teachers call on males in class far more than on male students. Teachers assign boys and girls different tasks in accordance with stereotyped gender roles.Would you like to be more creative in your copy and blogging? It’s really not as hard or mysterious as you might think. One roadblock that prevents many people from boosting their creativity is the notion that creativity is linked to intelligence. Another roadblock is the idea that creative people are born that way.So if you’re not super smart or born with the creative “gift,” the natural reaction is to shrug your shoulders and give up. That’s probably a bad move.Research shows that once you get slightly above an average I.Q., intelligence and creativity are not related. So you could be a genius and display little creativity or have fairly average intelligence and wield amazing creative powers. And to a large degree, creativity is a learned behavior. It’s a matter of how you approach things, how you act or react to new circumstances, your proclivity to look at things in different ways, your willingness toquestion, experiment, and take chances. In other words, creativity is not “what you are” as much as “what you do.”Think of creativity as a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. To increase your creativity, you simply need to “act” like a creative person. Not surprisingly, people recognized as creative tend to share common traits.Highly creative people:Have the COURAGE to try new things and risk failure. Every big breakthrough starts as a harebrained idea. This doesn’t mean you should constantly go off the deep end, just that you should balance your routine portfolio of solutions with an investment in the new and untried. Over time, the risk is usually worth the reward.Use INTUITION as well as logic to make decisions and produce ideas. When Matt Drudge designed his Web site, he listened to his gut instead of the Internet gurus. He kept it simple, small, fast, and some would say ugly and primitive. But it works for him, making The Drudge Report one of the most recognizable and popular sites in the world.Like to PLAY, since humor and fun are the ultimate creative act. Which is to say you just have to lighten up. We all have goals, and quotas, anddeadlines, but it’s not life and death. When you enjoy yourself, your brain relaxes and is able to produce more and better ideas. One of those ideas may be just what you’re looking for.Are EXPRESSIVE and willing to share what they feel and think, to be themselves. Blogging is the ideal arena for injecting your personality into your work. People are emotional creatures and respond better to people who appear real, honest, and open. Not only is it more interesting, it can also be more persuasive. Can FIND ORDER in confusion and discover hidden meaning in information. Research and critical thinking are key tools for the creative person. Information is to the brain what food is to the stomach. So-called “writer’s block” or creative burnout almost always results from a lack of fresh information and having nothing meaningful to say.Are MOTIV ATED BY A TASK rather than by external rewards. You must like the challenge of writing, explaining, teaching, and persuading. Sure, you can make money along the way, but if you’re in it just for the money, you’re not going to be a fountain of new ideas.Have a need to FIND SOLUTIONS to challenging problems. Even the most creative writers won’t have a solution for everything. I f they claim to, they’ve stopped thinking. Highly creative people are those whose eyes light up at a question they can’t answer. That’s the opportunity to learn something new and produce remarkably creative content. Will CHALLENGE ASSUMPTIONS and ask hard questions to discover what is real. Writing, blogging, or business rules aren’t really rules, only rules of thumb. If you want to wield true creative power, you will always take what others advise with a grain of salt. (That includes all of us gurus who love to don our pointy wizard hats and pontificate on the secrets of success.) If you don’t know something from personal knowledge or experience, you don’t know it at all.Can MAKE CONNECTIONS between old ideas to produce new insights. Combine the little doodles you make on a white board with online video and you get CommonCraft, a new approach to explaining things to people in a way they can easily understand. Sometimes the best solutions are simply two old ideas jammed together. Will PUSH THE ENVELOPE in order to expand the boundaries of what is possible. There was a time when no one thought you could make money on the Internet. Now it’s a huge, multi-national business platform. Instead of dividing the world into the possible and impossible, it’s better to merely divide it into the tried and the untried. What have you not tried yet?Are willing to TEST new ideas and compete with others based on results. Isn’t that what they mean by the “market of ideas”? Isn’t that w hat business competition is about? If you’re afraid of being wrong or losing, your creativity will suffer. These are certainly uncommon traits for most people. But they’re not difficult. Watch how the creative people you know solve problems and deal with projects. You may choose one particularly creative person you admire and, when faced with a problem, ask yourself, “What would so-and-so do in this situation?”As you begin to “act” like a creative person, you’ll find yourself actually becoming more and more creative. And likely, more and more successful.。
大学生应怎样花费他们的空闲时间英语作文In the kaleidoscope of college life, leisure time presents itself as a precious commodity, affording students opportunities to unwind, grow personally, and develop valuable skills. To make the most of this time, it is crucial for students to strike a balance between relaxation, self-improvement, and social engagement. This essay delves into how college students should spend their leisure time from multiple perspectives, ensuring a well-rounded and productive utilization of these hours.Firstly, leisure time should serve as an avenue for stress relief and mental rejuvenation. College life can be intense, with academic pressures, deadlines, and personal adjustments taking a toll on students' mental health. Engaging in activities that promote relaxation, such as yoga, meditation, or even a simple walk in nature, can help alleviate stress, improve focus, and foster emotional resilience. Moreover, hobbies like reading, painting, or listening to music provide a mental escape, allowing students to momentarily detach from academic demands andnurture their creativity.Secondly, leisure time should be harnessed for personal and professional development. College years offer a unique window for skill acquisition and exploration of potential career paths. Students can invest their free hours in online courses, workshops, or internships related to their fields of interest, enhancing their knowledge base and boosting employability. Furthermore, learning a new language or mastering software relevant to their majors can broaden their horizons and set them apart in a competitive job market. In addition, engaging in physical exercise is paramount for maintaining overall well-being. Regular workouts at the gym, participating in sports clubs, or even joining dance classes not only contribute to physical fitness but also stimulate endorphin release, enhancing mood and cognitive function. Such activities instill discipline, foster teamwork, and teach valuable lessons in perseverance and sportsmanship, qualities that transcend the athletic realm and are highly valued in both personal and professional contexts.Social interaction and community involvementconstitute another vital aspect of leisure time utilization. College is a melting pot of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, providing an ideal setting for networking, building friendships, and developing interpersonal skills. Joining student organizations, attending social events, or volunteering for community service projects allow students to forge meaningful connections, cultivate empathy, and gain practical experience in leadership and collaboration.Lastly, leisure time should also be devoted to self-reflection and personal growth. 大学生如何平衡支出和收入英语作文College students are often faced with the challenge of balancing their expenses and income. With tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses, it can be difficult to manage finances effectively. However, by following some simple tips and strategies, college students can successfully balance their expenses and income.First and foremost, college students should create a budget. This involves calculating their monthly income from sources such as part-time jobs, scholarships, and allowances, and then estimating their monthly expenses, including rent, groceries, transportation, and entertainment. By having a clear understanding of their financial situation, students can make informed decisions about their spending and focus on living within their means.Secondly, students should prioritize their expenses. It is important to distinguish between essential expenses and discretionary spending. Essential expenses such as rent, food, and utilities should be paid first, while discretionary spending on items such as clothes, gadgets, and dining out should be limited. By prioritizing their expenses, students can ensure that they haveenough money to cover their basic needs and avoid overspending.Additionally, college students should track their expenses. By keeping a record of their spending, students can identify areas where they are overspending and make necessary adjustments. This could involve cutting back on non-essential expenses, finding cheaper alternatives, or increasing their income through part-time work or freelance opportunities. By monitoring their expenses regularly, students can stay on top of their finances and make informed decisions about their spending.Another important tip for balancing expenses and income is to save money whenever possible. This could involve setting aside a portion of their income each month in a savings account, creating an emergency fund for unexpected expenses, or taking advantage of discounts and deals to reduce costs. By developing good saving habits early on, students can build a strong financial foundation for the future and achieve their long-term financial goals. Moreover, college students should consider seeking additional sources of income. This could involve taking on extra shifts at work, freelancing on the side, or starting a smallbusiness. By diversifying their income streams, students can increase their earning potential and have more financial flexibility. However, it is important to balance work and studies effectively to avoid burnout and ensure academic success. In conclusion, balancing expenses and income is a crucial skill for college students to master. By creating a budget, prioritizing expenses, tracking spending, saving money, and seeking additional sources of income, students can effectively manage their finances and avoid financial stress. By making smart financial decisions and developing good money habits, college students can achieve financial stability and set themselves up for success in the future.。
大学生如何节约钱英语作文College is a time of exploration and growth both academically and personally. However, it can also be a challenging period financially as students navigate the costs of tuition, housing, food, and other expenses. As a college student, it is important to develop effective money management skills to ensure financial stability and avoid unnecessary debt. In this essay, we will explore various strategies that college students can adopt to save money and achieve financial well-being.One of the most significant expenses for college students is tuition and fees. While the cost of higher education continues to rise, there are several ways students can reduce this burden. Firstly, students should explore scholarship and grant opportunities. Many colleges and universities offer a wide range of scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, or specific areas of study. Students should research and apply for as many relevant scholarships as possible to offset the cost of tuition. Additionally, students can consider taking advantage of dual-enrollment programs or Advanced Placement (AP) courses in high school to earn collegecredits before enrolling, thereby reducing the overall number of credits needed to complete their degree.Housing is another major expense for college students. On-campus housing is often the most convenient option, but it can also be the most expensive. Students should carefully compare the costs of on-campus housing, off-campus apartments, and even sharing a house or apartment with roommates. Off-campus living can provide significant savings, but students must factor in the additional costs of utilities, transportation, and potentially longer commute times. Regardless of the housing option chosen, students should strive to live within their means and avoid unnecessary luxuries or extravagant living arrangements.Food is another area where college students can save money. Campus dining halls and meal plans can be convenient but can also be costly. Students should consider cooking their own meals, either in their dorm room or off-campus housing. Meal prepping and buying in bulk can help reduce the cost of groceries. Additionally, students can take advantage of campus resources such as food pantries or discounted meal programs, which can provide access to affordable and nutritious food options.Textbooks are another significant expense for college students. Instead of purchasing new textbooks at the campus bookstore, students should explore alternative options such as renting textbooks, buying used books, or finding digital versions online. Many professors also provide access to free or low-cost course materials, so students should communicate with their instructors to explore these options.Transportation can also be a significant expense for college students, especially those who commute to campus. Students should consider public transportation, carpooling, or even purchasing a used, fuel-efficient vehicle to save on the costs of gas, insurance, and maintenance. Additionally, many colleges offer discounted or free public transportation passes for students, which can provide significant savings.Entertainment and social activities are important for college students, but they can also be a significant drain on their financial resources. Students should seek out free or low-cost entertainment options on campus, such as attending student organization events, using campus recreational facilities, or participating in intramural sports. Additionally, students can organize group activities with friends, such as potluck dinners or movie nights, to reduce the cost of entertainment. Finally, college students should develop a budget and stick to it. 大学生花钱如流水英语作文In contemporary society, the phenomenon of college students spending money lavishly has become a topic of concern. This essay aims to explore the reasons behind this trend, its implications, and suggest possible solutions to foster a more financially responsible culture among students.Firstly, the primary reason for the prodigal spending habits of college students is the newfound financial freedom they experience upon entering university. Many students are away from home for the first time and are in charge of their own expenses, which can lead to impulsive buying and a lack of budgeting skills.Secondly, peer influence plays a significant role in shaping spending behaviors. The desire to fit in or to keep up with friends can drive students to spend beyond their means. This is exacerbated by the prevalence of social media, where the display of luxury items and experiences can create a false sense of wealth and success. Moreover, the easy accessibility to credit cards and personal loans has made it simpler for students to spend money they do not have. This can lead to a cycle of debt that is difficult to escape, especially without a stable income. The implications of such spending habits are far-reaching. Not only does it affect the students' financial well-being,but it can also have a negative impact on their academic performance due to the stress and distraction caused by financial worries. To address this issue, educational institutions should incorporate financial literacy courses into their curriculum. These courses can teach students how to manage their finances effectively, including budgeting, saving, and understanding the consequences of debt.Furthermore, promoting a culture of frugality and sustainability can help students appreciate the value of money and the importance of responsible spending. This can be achieved through workshops, seminars, and campaigns that highlight the benefits of living within one's means. In conclusion, the prodigal spending habits of college students are a complex issue with roots in financial freedom, peer pressure, and easy access to credit. By providing education on financial literacy and promoting responsible spending, we can help students navigate their financial lives more prudently and avoid the pitfalls of excessive spending.。

You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.Nowadays in a Chinese college classroom, chances are that you won’t see full attention. Skipping classes is not uncommon for college students. Why does such phenomenon occur? Today, college students face pressure from both school and society. In school, they have to get enough credits and a high GPA in order to graduate with an impressive resume. However, when they are hunting for jobs, social experience also counts a great deal. So sometimes students have to sacrifice school to social activities such as noviciates. In my opinion, students should learn to balance the time spent in classrooms and on social activities. Both academic knowledge and social experience are necessary for their future career, but school should always come first for a student.◇写作思路这是一篇议论文,要求对“逃课”这种现象进行观点阐述。

To Help or Not to Help?1. 帮助别人是一种美德2. 但是帮助陌生人容易使自己陷入麻烦3. 我的看法In contemporary society,it should be a virtue for individuals to offer help to those who are in need. Without this morality, it is impossible for the society to be named “Harmony”. Apparently enough,it is of great importance/ significance/ value/ benefits for people to help each other, especially in difficulties. However, a host of people find it hard or troublesome to offer helps to strangers. We have been frequently informed that (A typical example is that) a warmhearted man --who lends a hand to an old lady—gets himself in trouble. Since helping others may trigger trouble, a few people refuse to offer help timely. And if we let/allow this situation to continue as it is now, we would not know where civilized society will be in the forthcoming future. As college students, we should bear in mind this virtue. However, it is essential that regulations should be worked out to support this virtue. In addition, it is suggested that we should offer aid to strangers in a safe way, such as dialing 120 or 110 for help. If we try our utmost to do so, the future of our society/ civilization will be promising, hopeful and rosy.4. 政府需要限制私车发展The private motor vehicle has given us a freedom our ancestors could not dream about. We can travel swiftly, and usually safely, over the roads which have been built to accommodate our cars. People can display their wealth by driving a car w hich may cost as much as another person’s home. (Introduction: advantages of cars)Sadly the car has become a disadvantage as well as a boom. The car pollutes the atmosphere, may be involved in serious accidents, and by its very numbers blocks roads and chokes cities. How can we reduce its use? (Brief statement of problem: disadvantages of cars)The car is only desirable if we can use it easily, so we might begin by reducing access to parking spaces in the cities and at the same time increasing the quality and availability of public transport. Cars could be banned from certain parts of the city, thus forcing people to walk or to use public transport. The expense of buying and running a car can be raised. If the motorist is faced with a high purchase price, high road tax, high insurance premiums and substantial fines he or she may reconsider the purchase. A corresponding reduction in the price of public transport would help this financial argument against car ownership. (Ideas for cutting the number of cars)Neither of these arguments will sway the super rich who can afford the status cars, but it would perhaps encourage them to look at other ways of demonstrating their wealth. However we do it, reducing the number of cars on the road will reduce the problems of pollution and the congestion which can bring cities to a standstill. (The benefits of reducing the number of cars)5. Online Games.1)现在有些大学生沉迷于网络游戏,家长和学校对此忧心忡忡,2)但有人认为网络游戏并非一无是处,3)你的看法。

How college students spend their leisure time
Being a college student, there is a lot of leisure time and how we spend the time is an essential problem. There is no denying the fact that the way we spend our leisure time may affect how much we learn in university.
As a survey shows that there are four main ways we spend our leisure time. It is universally acknowledged that the first is study. Just as a saying goes, the study is student's duty, so a majority of students spare no effort to abandon themselves to study. They may spend a whole morning or afternoon in the library or take up a lot of training classes. Of course, taking part in students' organisations is a kind of study. You gain not knowledge but the way to solve problems we may face in society in the near future.
The second way is finding a part-time job. We are already adults now and we have the ability to work. It pays to do that. Having a part-time job not only makes you have more pocket money but also turns you to be more independent.
What's more, quite a part of students choose to take a trip in their holidays. They may travel to places of interests or practice in a company. No matter what they do, of course they get a chance to get close to nature or society. They will gain feelings in other style and we just can't emphasize the importance of this experience too much.
The last way is relaxation. Students taking a leisurely life may surf the internet, go shopping, do some sports or even just lie in bed in a saturday or sunday morning. These may make your state better so that you can study better, but don't get into the habit of these or they may pose a threat to your scores and leave much to be desired.
As far as I'm concerned, no matter what you do in your leisure time, remember that you should always do the most right things.。
