教学准备
1. 教学目标
语言知识了解HIV/AIDS的一些基本词汇,如HIV, AIDS,virus,immune,injection, infected, needle等词汇;理解并运用艾滋病的基本知识。
语言技能能够在读、说与写中熟练使用英语来给以关于如何对待艾滋病人的建议。
语言运用了解艾滋病病毒的传播途径及预防艾滋病的方法并将这些知识传送给其他人,给予其他人的建议;学习写劝告信。
文化意识增强预防艾滋病的能力和自我保护意识,培养学生自身的健康生活方式。
情感态度学会正确对待艾滋病人,学会关爱艾滋病病毒携带者和艾滋病病人,帮助
他们的生活,关怀他们的情感,消除歧视。
学习策略学会总结所接触的语言信息并加以应用。

学生通过小组讨论合作,抓住文章的有力的证据来分析这三个案例。
在
创设的情境当中,教师抓住此契机给予学生恰当的评价,让学生体验到成功的快乐。

Step 1 Lead in(2mins)
教学目的:通过向学生展示一个视频片段,引到艾滋病这个话题上,使学生对
艾滋病对人造成的影响有一个更深刻的感受,激发学生深入了解艾滋病的兴趣。

教学目的:这一设计起到承上启下的作用。
首先唤起学生对阅读话题相关背景
知识的准备,通过借助红丝带这个象征性的标志和世界艾滋病日这两个学生在
日常媒体宣传活动中早有耳闻的典型,使学生对特殊标志和特殊日子的了解,
到对这特殊话题的了解。
过渡自然,学生既可回答现实的对这话题的了解也可
回答对课文预习后学到的内容,学生有话可说,此环节关注了各个层次的学生,同时轻松进入学习状态。

Task 4: Analyse the following cases
Case 1: Peter has many friends who inject drugs and he sometimes shares the needles with them. Is he safe or dangerous?
Case 2: John’s next door lives a homosexual. John never dares to
talk with him because John thinks he will be infected with HIV by talking with a homosexual.
Case 3: Ted was bitten by mosquitoes in a hospital when he was
visiting his friends who got AIDS. So Ted was scared that he would be infected with HIV.
Summary: Therefore, knowing what is safe and what is risky is very important.

HIV/AIDS病人是人人惧怕的对象。
在本节课了解HIV/AIDS的传播途
