Lesson Plan
Course Title: English Education for Kindergarten Middle Class Unit Title: Let's go to the nature park!
Level: Low
Objectives:
1. To enable children to learn and use vocabulary related to nature park in English.
2. To facilitate children's listening and speaking abilities in English.
3. To engage children in interactive activities and games that promote their interest in learning English.
Materials:
1. Pictures of different natural elements such as trees, flowers, animals, etc.
2. Flashcards with vocabulary words such as park, trail, pond, stream, hill, picnic, etc.
3. A short video about a nature park.
4. Worksheets with word matching and coloring activities.
5. Audio recording of vocabulary words.
Introduction (10 minutes):
1. Greetings and welcoming the children to English Class.
2. Show pictures of different natural elements and ask the children if they know what they are called in English.
3. Ask the children if they have ever been to a nature park and what they did there.
4. Share the objectives of the lesson with the children.
Presentation (20 minutes):
1. Introduce new vocabulary words to the children using flashcards and audio recording.
2. Ask the children to repeat the words after you and practice pronouncing them correctly.
3. Use the video to show the children what a nature park looks like and explain the different elements of the park using the flashcards.
Practice (20 minutes):
1. Distribute worksheets to the children with word matching and coloring activities.
2. Divide the children into pairs and ask them to practice using the new vocabulary words by having a conversation about a nature park.
3. Play vocabulary games such as "Charades" using the new words.
Production and Conclusion (10 minutes):
1. Divide the children into groups of four and give them a scenario where they have to plan a picnic at a nature park using the new vocabulary words.
2. Each group presents their plan to the class in English.
3. Recapitulate the new vocabulary words and concepts as a conclusion to the lesson.
4. End the class with a song related to nature or a simple game.
Assessment:
Assess the children's understanding and usage of the new vocabulary words during the conversation and group presentation activities. Also, evaluate the children's participation in the worksheets and games. Provide feedback to the individual children for their improvement.
Extension:
1. Encourage the children to draw pictures or take photos of their visit to a nature park and use the new vocabulary words to describe their experience.
2. Organize a field trip to a nature park to provide a real-life experience to the children and reinforce the new concepts learned in class.。
