In this essay, we will explore the differences between male and female emotional expression and how they impact our lives.Firstly, men and women have different ways ofexpressing their emotions. In the tapestry of human relationships, love stands as a universal emotion, yet its expression and understanding can vary significantly across cultures. Growing up in a society where Eastern and Western influences intermingle, I have observed and experienced the nuanced differences in how love is approached and cherished between these two cultural spheres. From my perspective as a high school student, the Western concept of love often emphasizes the individuals autonomy and the pursuit of personal happiness. In Western love stories, whether from movies or literature, theres a prevalent theme of romantic independence. Lovers are often portrayed as two individuals who, while being in a relationship, maintain their own identities and interests. This is evident in the way Western couples often celebrate Valentines Day or anniversaries with personalized gifts and heartfelt letters that reflect their unique bond.In contrast, Eastern love, particularly in traditional settings, tends to be more collective and familyoriented. The idea of we often supersedes me, and relationships are seen as an extension of familial ties. For instance, in Chinese culture, theres a strong emphasis on filial piety, which means that ones relationship with their parents and family is paramount. This can influence how love is perceived and practiced, with an expectation that romantic relationships should also contribute positively to the family unit. One of the most striking differences Ive noticed is the approach to dating and courtship. In Western cultures, dating is often seen as a casual exploration of compatibility, with an openness to try and experiment. High school students in the West might go on dates to the movies, attendparties, or hang out in groups, all part of the process of getting to know each other. Theres a certain freedom in this approach, allowing individuals to navigate their feelings and make decisions at their own pace.On the other hand, Eastern cultures, including my own, can be more conservative when it comes to dating. Theres often a stronger emphasis on the end goal of marriage and stability. High school students might be more cautious about expressing their feelings openly, and there can be a greater societal pressure to conform to traditional expectations. This can sometimes lead to more formal and serious dating practices, with an underlying seriousness that contrasts with the more casual Western approach.Communication styles in relationships also differ markedly. Western couples might be more comfortable with direct communication, discussing their feelings and issues openly. This can lead to a more transparent and egalitarian dynamic within the relationship. In contrast, Eastern couples might rely more on nonverbal cues and indirect expressions of affection, which can sometimes be misinterpreted by those unfamiliar with the cultural nuances. Moreover, the concept of face or maintaining social harmony in Eastern cultures plays a significant role in how conflicts are handled. Theres often a preference for avoiding direct confrontation and preserving dignity, which can lead to more subtle and indirect methods of resolving disagreements. In terms of public displays of affection, Western societies are generallymore accepting of physical expressions of love in public spaces. High school students might hold hands, hug, or kiss in public without much concern for societal judgment. However, in many Eastern cultures, such displays are often considered inappropriate in public, reflecting a more reserved approach to expressing affection outside of private settings.Despite these differences, its important to recognize that love, at its core, remains a shared human experience. Whether its the butterflies in the stomach felt during a first date or the comfort of a longterm partners embrace, the essence of love transcends cultural boundaries. As a high school student navigating these cultural landscapes, Ive learned to appreciate the diversity in how love is expressed and celebrated, understanding that each approach has its own unique beauty and value. In conclusion, while the differences between Eastern and Western approaches to love can be quite distinct, they both contribute to the rich tapestry of human relationships. Its through understanding and respecting these differences that we can foster more inclusive and empathetic connections, celebrating the universality of love in all its varied forms.。
西方爱情作文英文英文:Love is a universal language that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers. As a Westerner, I believe that love is a complex and multi-faceted emotion that can take many different forms. From the passionate, all-consuming love of a new romance to the deep, abiding love of a long-term partnership, there are countless ways to experience and express love. One of the defining characteristics of Western love is the emphasis on individualism. In the West, we tend to value personal autonomy and independence, even in our romantic relationships. This can sometimes lead to a focus on self-expression and self-fulfillment, rather than on the needs and desires of our partner.Another aspect of Western love is the importance placed on communication. We believe that open and honestcommunication is essential for a healthy relationship, and we often encourage couples to talk through their problems and work together to find solutions.Of course, Western love is not without its flaws. Wecan sometimes be too focused on our own needs and desires, and we may struggle to truly understand and empathize with our partner's perspective. However, I believe that Western love has much to offer, and that it can be a powerful force for good in the world.中文:爱情是一种超越文化和语言障碍的普遍语言。

For some reasons, may be the place is so beautiful, the two young people fall in love with each other. In Ziming’s heart, Liuhai is a greenhand on this. She even don’t know what she should do next.3.State the different value of marriage about the two films 3.1 The values of selecting spouse in Chinese and American:Influenced by traditional culture and ethics, today’s parents still stern to their children. They let their children followed the road they have already designed. On this case, many people lack the ability of independent and this ability can just better embodies in marriage. When someone thinks he or she shall get married, they will ask for their parents’ideas about their decision. On the issues of selecting spouse, parents still “make a difference”. But, in contract, in American, whether man and woman get married is about whether the two can match each other or go along with each other, they don’t care about other’s attitude towards marriage. When this different value in China and American transferred with time, the value of marriage will also changed.Culture of history is the major factors to influence the differencevalue of selecting spouse. According to a survey report of Nankai university, the main different value of selecting spouse contains: in China, when selecting spouse, in the description of the self, age, education level, marriage history appearance, good, conduct, have or haven’t children are almost the same. While in height, professional, housing, health, this three items, there are significant difference, and man is more than woman. In Boston, in the description of self, age, height, education level, race, religion, marriage hiatory “intelligent”, “have a sense of humor,”“artistic breath” have no significant differences between male and female. While in career, hobbies, “love sport”or “friendly”, “love life”several are significant differences. Among them, man prefer to describe them in career, “love sport”, “love life” three items. However, women tend to the two items, hobbies, “friendly”.3.2The attitudes toward marriage in Chinese and AmericanThe main reason of the different value of selecting spouse is the different value toward marriage. The Chinese pay attentions to interpersonal relationship, they think that marriage is not just the combination of two individuals. Parents let their children get married, in the surface, they get their children married; in fact, the parents do this is for the whole family. In traditional Chinese society, marriage is the biggest things in the whole family; everyone in the family is involved. From this, we can see the Chinese wedding is for others, man get marriedis to breed, is to the family’s bounden duty and held a kind of responsibility. For them, getting married is a family’s bounden duty, and the more important is one of their rights. As a member of society, they have a right to response to their future and various demands.American is a young country which is established by immigrants from many areas with many countries nation. American’s various cultural and social environments make many people accept such life creed: every man for himself fund God for us all. They think that marriage is the combination of two individuals, as long as men and women both reach the legal age, no one have the right to interfere. If they meet some life difficulties, as long as they don’t ask their parents or others for help, no one can consult them, they tend to ask the marriage counselors for advice. The marriage counselor is just analysis the problem, help them to better understand each other, and not give the certain suggestion. Of course, from the basic view, American get married for themselves, mainly is looking for a permanent members of the opposite sex life partner thus on physiology, psychologically, social getting enough, so they get married only by them selves. Marriage is their personal right, is a kind of form and not a kind of responsibility.3.3 The attitude towards divorce in China and AmericaThe Chinese people’s attitude toward divorceWith the development of economic in China, more and more peoplefind their own social position, and their own work. On the pressure of competition, the time the husband and wife to communicate with is less and less. This make Chinese divorce rates are on the rise. Chinese once divorced, they will seldom get married. In Chinese society, due to the emotional communication interpersonal comparative unobstructed, couples parents caused by emotional tension easily from other human emotions of relaxed. Such as husband and wife after quarrel, wife can return to home to rest for a couple of days, or looking for a good friend to pour out. Being a husband, he can chat with his friend in the teahouse. They will not divorced, even they do not love each other like before. Because, they need to care about others feeling from the society, and family pressures, so they will not divorced. While in America, the divorce attitude is known to all. Their divorce rate is higher. We often hear or see that the American married for 2 or 3 times in their whole life. Why American in easily to divorce? Why the US appear thia kind of social phenomenon? From the above analysis, we can conclude that American people’s mentality genus: probing and advocating new, enterprising type. American is a multi- cultural country, Americans respect individual freedom, advocating of self-reliance, their personal problems is solved not by their relatives and friends directly, they will directly depend on the government agencies. Because of American social system created people’s relationship without too much dependent, soemotional communication between people is thus reduced to the minimum. From a side, such human apathy phenomenon in American society reflect the relationship between the people is only interest and official type relationship. Marriage is a kind of emotional life, in the couple’s life, problems are not avoidable. In the US, emotional communication between people is limited, so the conflict is not easily deals with. From time goes by, they will finally hurt the other one. Due to the social customs, both sides are not easily to have the chance to talk to the other one, finally, they will break up.conclusionWith the development of society and the exchange of Chinese and western culture, people’s value toward marriage also changed in some minor parts. But the basic idea still has not changed, because a nation to endure at the world, not only have to adapt to the trend of the times and the ability of the coexistence with other ethnic groups, the more important is to stick their own culture fundamental, entrenched the source of national spirit to keep their own social characteristics.。

两性对美的认知是不同的英语作文Divergent Desires: Exploring the Gender Gap in Aesthetic Preferences. In the intricate tapestries of human perception and desire, the realm of beauty holds a profound sway over our hearts and minds. It is a concept that has fascinated philosophers, artists, and scientists alike throughout history, and yet, despite the countless theories and analyses, the nature of beauty remains an enigmatic puzzle. While beauty is often perceived as universal and objective, research has revealed a fascinating divergence in aesthetic preferences between the sexes, leading to a gender gap in our perceptions of beauty.Physical Appearance and the Ideal Body. One of the most striking differences between male and female aesthetic preferences lies in their perception of physical attractiveness. Studies have consistently shownthat men tend to place greater emphasis on physical appearance than women when evaluating potential partners. Men are more likely to be drawn to women with symmetrical features, a slender build, and youthful attributes, which are often associated with fertility and health. Conversely, women tend to value a wider range of physical qualities in men, including intelligence, personality, and social status. This gender difference in physical preferences can be attributed to several factors. Evolutionary psychologists argue that men's focus on physical appearance stems from their biological imperative to secure mates with high reproductive value. Women, on the other hand, have evolvedto prioritize traits that indicate a man's ability to provide resources and protection.Color and Design Preferences.Beyond physical appearance, gender differences in aesthetic preferences extend to color and design. Research has shown that women generally prefer warmer colors, suchas pink, purple, and orange, while men show a preferencefor cooler colors, such as blue, green, and gray. This trend may be attributed to evolutionary conditioning: women may have developed a preference for warmer colors associated with nurturing and protection, while men may have favored cooler colors related to hunting and aggression. In terms of design, women tend to prefer curvy, organic forms, while men are more drawn to angular, geometric shapes. This difference may stem from the fact that women are more likely to be involved in activities that require fine motor skills, which are facilitated by curved shapes. Men, on the other hand, may prefer angular shapes due to their association with strength and masculinity.Cultural Influences and Societal Norms. While biological factors undoubtedly play a role in shaping gender differences in aesthetic preferences, cultural influences and societal norms also exert a significant impact. Media portrayals, fashion trends, and advertising campaigns all contribute to shaping ourperceptions of beauty and attractiveness. These cultural influences can reinforce or challenge biological impulses, leading to complex and varying aesthetic preferences within different cultures and societies.Implications for Relationships and Communication. The gender gap in aesthetic preferences can have implications for relationships and communication between the sexes. For instance, a man who values physical appearance above all else may struggle to connect with a woman who prioritizes personality and intelligence. Conversely, a woman who is drawn to a man's intellectual qualities may be disappointed if he is only interested in her looks. To bridge this aesthetic divide, it is crucial for both men and women to recognize and appreciate the different ways in which they perceive beauty. By understanding these differences, we can communicate our aesthetic preferences more effectively and avoid misunderstandings.Conclusion.The gender gap in aesthetic preferences is a fascinating and complex phenomenon that sheds light on the myriad ways in which our perceptions of beauty are shaped by both biological and cultural influences. While these differences can sometimes lead to challenges in communication and relationships, they also contribute to the rich tapestry of human experience. By embracing the diversity of aesthetic preferences, we can foster a more inclusive and appreciative society that celebrates the beauty that exists in all its forms.。
中外恋爱差异英语作文Love is a universal language, but the way people express their love can vary greatly across different cultures. In this essay, I will explore some of the differences between Western and Eastern approaches to love and relationships. In Western cultures, love is often associated with passion and romance. People are encouraged to follow their hearts and pursue their desires. The concept of "love at first sight" is common, and many people believe that there is one perfect soulmate out there for them. Westerners tend to value individualism and independence, and they often prioritize their own happiness and fulfillment over the needs of their family or community. In contrast, Eastern cultures tend to view love and relationships as a more practical matter. Marriage is often seen as a way to strengthen family ties and ensure social stability. Parents and other family members play asignificant role in arranging marriages, and the couple's compatibility is often judged based on factors such associal status, education, and financial stability. Easterners tend to value collectivism and interdependence, and they prioritize the needs of their family and community over their own individual desires. These cultural differences can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts in cross-cultural relationships. For example, a Westerner who values personal freedom and spontaneity may feel stifled by theexpectations and obligations of an Eastern partner's family. On the other hand, an Easterner who values tradition and stability may feel frustrated by a Western partner's tendency to prioritize their own happiness over the needsof the relationship.Despite these differences, there are also many similarities between Western and Eastern approaches to love. Both cultures value loyalty, honesty, and communication in relationships. Both cultures also recognize the importanceof compromise and sacrifice in maintaining a healthy andhappy partnership. In conclusion, the way people approach love and relationships can vary greatly depending on their cultural background. While there are certainly differences between Western and Eastern approaches, there are also many similarities. Ultimately, the most important thing is to communicate openly and honestly with your partner, and to work together to build a relationship that is fulfilling and satisfying for both of you.。
中西方爱情观对比英语作文Love, a universal emotion, is perceived differently in Western and Eastern cultures. In the West, love is often viewed as a passionate and individualistic pursuit, emphasized by concepts like romantic love and soulmates. Western societies celebrate the idea of finding "the one" and prioritize personal happiness in relationships.Conversely, Eastern cultures like those in China and Japan often place greater emphasis on familial and societal harmony in relationships. Love is seen as a duty and commitment to one's family, community, and ancestors. Arranged marriages, once common in the East, reflect this collective approach to love, where the union of two individuals extends beyond personal desires to encompass broader social considerations.Despite these differences, both Western and Eastern perspectives on love share a common goal: the pursuit of connection and fulfillment. While Western ideals focus on personal fulfillment and romantic love, Eastern values prioritize stability, duty, and interconnectedness within the larger social fabric.中文翻译:爱情作为一种普遍情感,在西方和东方文化中有着不同的看法。
男女对美不同的认识英语作文The Differing Perceptions of Beauty Between Men and WomenBeauty is a concept that has captivated humanity for centuries, inspiring art, literature, and philosophical discourse. However, the ways in which men and women perceive and define beauty can vary significantly. This essay will explore the contrasting perspectives on beauty between the genders, delving into the underlying factors that shape these differences. One of the primary distinctions in the perception of beauty between men and women lies in the emphasis placed on physical attributes. Traditionally, men have tended to prioritize physical characteristics such as symmetry, youth, and fertility as indicators of beauty. This preference is often rooted in evolutionary psychology, where physical traits are seen as proxies for good health and reproductive potential. In contrast, women's conception of beauty is often more multifaceted, encompassing not only physical attributes but also personality traits, intelligence, and social status. This divergence in the assessment of beauty can be observed in various cultural and societal contexts. In the fashion and mediaindustries, for instance, the idealized standards of beauty have historically been geared towards appealing to the male gaze, emphasizing features like slim waistlines, long legs, and flawless complexions. However, in recent years, there has been a growing movement towards embracing a more diverse range of body types and physical features, reflecting a shift in the way women perceive and define beauty.Another factor that contributes to the differing perceptions of beauty between men and women is the role of socialization and cultural norms. From a young age, girls are often socialized to place a greater emphasis on physical appearance and to internalize societal ideals of beauty. This can lead to a heightened self-consciousness and a preoccupation with meeting these standards, which can in turn shape their own understanding of what constitutes beauty. In contrast, the socialization of boys tends to place less emphasis on physical appearance and more on attributes such as strength, intelligence, and social status. As a result, men may be more inclined to evaluate beauty in a more holistic manner, considering factors beyond the purely physical.Furthermore, the influence of media and popular culture cannot be overlooked. The proliferation of idealized images of beauty in themedia, often perpetuated by advertising and the entertainment industry, can have a profound impact on both men's and women's perceptions of what is considered attractive. These images can reinforce narrow and often unrealistic standards of beauty, leading to a disconnect between the idealized representations and the diverse range of physical characteristics that exist in the real world.Despite these differences, it is important to recognize that the perception of beauty is a highly subjective and personal experience. Individuals of all genders may find themselves drawn to a wide range of physical features and personality traits, and the concept of beauty can evolve and change over time.In conclusion, the differing perceptions of beauty between men and women can be attributed to a variety of factors, including evolutionary psychology, socialization, and the influence of media and cultural norms. While these differences may persist, it is crucial to recognize the inherent diversity and subjectivity of beauty, and to embrace a more inclusive and empowering understanding of what it means to be beautiful.。

It wasn’t restricted to any external factor. Moreover, in Extreme inpidualism, the meaning of personal life is to do what people like. Therefore, inpidualism in this period exhibited the negative and decadent side.Extreme inpidualism was in vogue until the late of 1980s. After the Cold War, there were a lot of social problems forcing Americans to reexamine the relationship between personal value and social benefit. People still attached importance to the achievement of personal value, self-respect, self-reliance and self-improvement. But meanwhile, most Americans could consider other’s benefits above theirs in some situations.Although American inpidualism went through many stages, the core of inpidualism never changed. That is the---------------------------------------------------------------范文最新推荐------------------------------------------------------pursuit of freedom, human rights, self-reliance and equality. Modern American people not only inherit the tradition, but also promote the idea of inpidualism. No matter what things they do, they always keep to its principle. Inpidualism is regarded as the most distinct characteristics of America.2.1.2 American Sexual ConceptThe theories of the modern sexual science affected the Sexual Revolution. Moreover, at that time, the economic prosperity in American society changed people’s life style to a large extent. The desire for material and enjoyment was stronger than ever.In the 20th century, the premarital sex happened frequently, and Women’s Liberation Movement9 / 12further developed. Women had the courage to fight for the sexual freedom. People had no worries about sex due to the legalization of oral contraceptiveand abortion. Therefore, to many women, sexual activities became unfettered and permissive. Furthermore, the development of technology propelled the progress of media industry. The things about sex were spread over quickly and had a great influence on American society.Based on the inpidualism, although the American family ties are weak, a main line running through American family value is an equal love. In American families, they focus on the equality. Under the influence of the inpidualism, family members are independent. They have their own right to make a decision, even though parents should respect their children’s wills. Everyone should be responsible for himself or herself. In American families, making a decision tends to be more democratic. Parents are no longer the---------------------------------------------------------------范文最新推荐------------------------------------------------------ absolute leader in family.Adhering to inpidualism, American people also lay stress on self-reliance and independence in the life of marriage. Although a couple gets married, they still manage their own finance by their own. They share their obligation, and one partner can’t interfere in another’s finance. They consider this a kind of privacy.2.2 Cultural Values in ChinaAs a representative of eastern culture, Chinese culture derives from Confucian Culture which has developed for several thousand years in China, exerting an edifying influence on every Chinese. Confucian Culture aims at pursuing harmony and achieving harmony.11 / 122.2.1 Chinese Core Value: CollectivismThe formation of Chinese Collectivism stems from three factors in brief: geography, life style and Confucian Culture.First of all, geography is the initial factor. It is known to all that the Chinese nation was living and multiplying gradually in the middle or lower reaches of the Yellow River. Natural barricades prevent China from connecting with the neighbor countries, such as the deserted Siberian, Mongolian Plateau in the north, high mountain ridges in the west, and the Himalaya Mountains in the southwest. In mainland, there are also a mass of mountains, deserts and rivers piding the continent up. Due to this geographical pision, people have to live in their own limited areas for whole life. Therefore, people must live with neighbors in harmony. 英文论文中美婚恋观比较(4):。

It is common to see public displays of affection, such as kissing and holding hands, as a way to show love and affection. On the other hand, in Eastern culture, love is often seen as more reserved and subtle. Couples may not express their feelings as openly, but instead show their love through actions and gestures. It is considered more important to show love through loyalty and commitment, rather than grand gestures. In Western love stories, there is often a focus on individual happiness and fulfillment. Couples are encouraged to follow their hearts and pursue their own desires, even if it means going against societal norms or expectations. Arranged marriages were common in the past, and even today, many Chinese people still consider their parents' opinion when choosing a partner.Westerners tend to value independence and personal freedom in relationships. Men are often expected to be the breadwinners, while women are responsible for taking care of the family and children. However, there is a growing trend towards gender equality in urban areas, as more Chinese women are prioritizing their own careers and independence.。

中西方爱情观差异英语作文The Differences in Love Concepts between the East and the West Love is a universal emotion that plays a significant role in human life. However, there are distinct differences in how love is perceived and expressed in Eastern and Western cultures. These differences can be observed in various aspects, such as the nature of love, the expression of love, and the expectations in relationships. In Western cultures, love is often associated with individual freedom and self-expression. It is regarded as a spontaneous emotion that should be freely expressed and pursued. Westerners tend to prioritize personal happiness and the pursuit of romantic love. They believe in finding a partner who complements and fulfills them emotionally, physically, and mentally. Expressing love through words, gestures, and physical affection is common in Western relationships. On the contrary, in Eastern cultures, love is often viewed within the context of family and society. The concept of duty and responsibility towards the family is closely tied to love. In Eastern societies, love is considered a long-term commitment and a means to build a strong and harmonious family. The emphasis is on mutual support, understanding, and sacrifice within the relationship. Whileemotional expression may be more subdued, actions and care for the partner are prioritized.Another notable difference lies in the expectations of relationships. Western cultures tend to place emphasis on individual growth and self-fulfillment within a relationship. Partners are expected to support each other's personal goals and maintain their independence. In Eastern cultures, however, the needs of the collective, such as the family, may take precedence over individual desires. Partners may make sacrifices for the well-being and stability of the relationship. It is important to note that these are general observations and do not apply to every individual. Personal experiences and cultural influences shape each person's unique perspective on love. Understanding and respecting these differences can help foster better cross-cultural relationships and promote a deeper appreciation of diverse love concepts. In conclusion, while there are differences in love concepts between the East and the West, both approaches have their own values and significance. Love is a complex and multifaceted emotion that knows no boundaries. By embracing and celebrating these differences, we can expand our understanding of love and build moremeaningful connections with people from different cultural backgrounds.。

关于英美爱情观差异的英文论文英美差异论文课程论文课程名称Survey of Britain and America 题目Difference of Love View Between China姓名班级学号任课教师王婉华所在学院外语学院2012年6 月1. Background of the StudyLove is the most beautiful sentiment of our human beings; it is alsoa very important composition of our lives. Nobody in the world does not want to find a true love and to have a romantic and unforgettable love with somebody. Love can make people laugh, can make people cry, it is an amazing thing. Therefore, whatever in eastern and western, love is always the eternal theme in literary works. While the vision of love varies from country to country. The purpose of this article is to study the difference of love view between China and Western and today I will illustrate it from three parts. Firstly, most Chinese people are not given entire right to purse love, they have to follow their parents ‘advice. In contrast, people in western are free to purse love, love is just a matter of themselves, people around them even their parents will never interfere it. Secondly, the love of Chinese is always relevant to morality, in the eyes of our Chinese people, love always means responsibility, and lovers are not likely to peak up with each other as a result of a small thing. But thing changes inwesterners, usually they establish such kind of relationship with somebody on the base of feelings, if the feeling gone ,then it is time for them to put an end to their relationship, so there is high time for a westerner to have 100 times of love experiences. At last, Chinese people always take reality into consideration. No car, no house, and then no live. After all, material is the foundation of life, if you want to get a lover, first you have to ensure your life. On the contrary, westerners d on ’t attach much importance to materials; they will chose to be together on condition that they can have fun together. But how does this huge difference happen? That is what I want to discuss next.2. Literature ReviewFirst, as I just said above, Chinese have less right to purse love. The reason perhaps lies in the filial piety for their parents. The view that the good filial has been impressed in people"s hearts thousands of years, so parents definitely have their say in a family.[1] Therefore, parents usually choose the mate for their children. In the ancient China, the monarch attach much importance to filial, to a large extent, the court choose the officials who have a good fame of filial.[2] But in western, people think that individuals are the most important, nobody can have the right to stop them to pursue happiness.Second, the love of Chinese is always relevant to morality, The Confucian culture has greatly influenced all of our Chinese, it emphasize on love, to tell people to learn to respect and care for others.[3] Thus, lovers in China will think that they both have the responsibility to love each other if they already choose to be together. But it is not the same in western, being deeply influenced bythe Bible, people have a very clear concept of fighting for their own happiness, to love is to live a happier life, not for responsibility. At length, we may find that Chinese people are always cautious about love. Many people hold the view that true love can only happen once, so when they fix their love relationship with somebody , theyusually take the reality into consideration, to make sure that they can stick to the last. I think, this may be relevant to the geographic position of our country. To live in a relative closed country, our country do esn’t have too much contact with other countries, so that Chinese people are lack of the curiosity to the new things, and they always try to live a peaceful life. [4] Do not want to change or afraid of change, so Chinese people are cautious about choosing a lover. If he or she is not the right choice, their peaceful live may be interrupted, their life may face great change latter. While, most western countries are located in those open geographic location, so westerners are inclined to have more adventurism. [5] Therefore it makes sense that westerners are more willing to try new things than us. If life just goes plain, they considered it very boring.3. Culture shockThough cultural differences have caused so much difference, the reform and open policy of China has pought in much new blood. In the mean time, with the development of our society and technology, more and more foreigners come to China and in turn many Chinese people go to other countries, thus China has been experiencing great culture shock. It not difficult for us to find that our Chinese traditional culture has been greatly influencedby western cultures. Nowadays Chinese people like to buy things made in foreign countries, like those foreign festivals but ignore our traditional festivals. Of course, our view of love has changedmore or less. On the contemporary times, people have more rights topursue love for parents are not so rigid any more; they are likely to accept the one their child loves unless he or she is really bad. And it is also because children today are not so obedient to their parents, they have got their own minds, they will not listen to every word of their parents. If what they said is wrong, they dare to go against them. That is the liberty spirit of western has engraved in our minds. In the mean time, people are become more open than before, for example, in campus, it is easy for us to see lovers to act very intimate and even kiss each other regardless of the passerbys. What is more, we can always hear that somebody establish such a relationship even when they are in senior or middle schools. While there is a serious problem raised, that is the view of material stuffs. Nowadays lot of girls are money-oriented, they consider money is the basis of happy life, so they are willing to peak up with theirboyfriends who has spent many years with her , and try to find a richer man. This phenomenon is common to see in our surroundings. Whereas, what surprise me most is that among those girls mostly have received education. That is strange. What does our country educate them for? Of course for construction of our country, for better life of ourselves. But it seems that this kind of education turns out to be a failure. The majority of people who receive higher education are willing to go to the developed countries. And lots of girlsthey study for their future life, perhaps to finda good husband. But does money or big house equal to happiness? Of course not. I think that those girls must have misunderstood the meaning of happiness. On the contrary, American girls seem to be wiser when they choose their mates. Although Americans are thought to be very realistic, they have a clear concept of happiness. While some Chinese girls seem to be lost themselves in the period of culture shock.4. ConclusionThe western culture especially that of America definitely have a great influence on us, whereas we may value them too much but ignore our own cultures. It is true that there are many dregs in our traditional cultures, but more deserve to be retained. Everyday, from a child to a college student, I have heard too many things about the comparison between China and America, and every time it was something bad about China but something good about America. Thus all these leave us the impression that America is the heaven. To ameliorate or change the situation, I think education is important. If the schools offer more courses about our Chinese traditional culture, we are sure to comprehend the beauty o f it.It is a great challenge to retain our own culture and in the mean time to absorb the good aspects of western culture. Now it is our responsibility to realize it. I believe that one day we can take the advantage of western cultures and display our priceless Chinese culture to the whole word.Bibliography[1] Hu Wenzhong. 论爱情观的不同角度英语作文Different Perspectives on the Concept of LoveLove, an emotion that has intrigued and perplexed humanity throughout the ages, presents itself in a multitude of ways and can be contemplated from a variety of distinct perspectives. When we look through the lens of a romantic perspective, love is often envisioned as an all-consuming and intensely passionate bond between two individuals. It is a realm where deep emotions run rampant, where there is an unwavering longing for the presence of that special someone, and a profound sense of finding completeness and wholeness in the union with the beloved. This view romanticizes the idea of having a soulmate, someone with whom an almost otherworldly connection exists, and believes in the power of love to surmount any and all challenges and difficulties that life throws their way.Conversely, from a practical point of view, love is regarded as a partnership firmly grounded in mutual understanding, unwavering respect, and a shared set of goals and aspirations. Here, love is not merely an emotional upheaval but rather a foundation upon which a life is built together. It involves making concessions and compromises, and providing unwavering support to one another in practical matters. It is about working hand in hand towards common objectives and facing the realities of life as a unified front.A psychological perspective delves deep into how love impacts ourthoughts, behaviors, and overall mental well-being. It examines the role that love plays in offering a sense of security and stability, in enhancing our self-esteem and self-worth, and in influencing our personal growth and development on a psychological plane. It considers how being in love can shape our identities and how our emotional connection with another can have a profound effect on our inner world. From a cultural vantage point, different cultures bring their own unique interpretations and expectations when it comes to love. Some cultures uphold the tradition of arranged marriages, where the decision of a partner is often made by family or community, emphasizing duty and stability. In contrast, other cultures place a premium on individual choice and the pursuit of love based on personal attraction and connection. These cultural variances significantly mold the way people within those cultures experience and express their love, giving rise to a rich tapestry of love-related customs and practices.Furthermore, there is the spiritual perspective, which perceives love as a connection that transcends the boundaries of the physical and material world. It may involve a sense of oneness and unity not only with another human being but also with a higher power or a universal consciousness. This view often associates love with a sense of spiritual enlightenment and growth, seeing it as a means to reach a higher state of being. In summary, the concept of love is an elaborate and diverse one, and different individuals may gravitate towards different perspectivesbased on their individual personalities, life experiences, and the cultural backdrop against which they have grown. Each perspective offers precious insights into the nature and significance of love in our lives, and together they contribute to our comprehensive understanding and appreciation of this most powerful and profound emotion. No single perspective can fully capture the essence of love, but by exploring and contemplating these various viewpoints, we can gain a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the complex web that love weaves in our human existence.。
