Unit3 Reading 教学设计(二)教学分析1. 教学课型:阅读课阅读部分“湄公河旅行游记”的第一部分“Part 1 The dream and the plan”讲述了王薇和王坤姐弟俩的梦想,沿湄公河做自行车旅行,并为之做准备的过程。
2. 教学方法任务型教学法,小组合作学习,多媒体辅助教学。
3. 教材分析与处理课前要求同学们通过各种渠道查询湄公河的资料,如地理位置、流经的国家、重要性等等,做好课前的准备,实际上是为了更好地理解文章特别是第三段做准备。
学生对文章的内容比较陌生,难度上也相对较大,因此,选用了一些河流、冰川、山谷等与河流有关的图片来引起学生的兴趣。
在课堂中,学生阅读时,注意培养学生的阅读策略,不仅设计了略读、查读的问题,包括大意题和细节题,也有深层性的问题,如对错题、填写表格和空格、回答问题等等,引导学生积极参与课堂。
特别是引导学生概括总结文章。
另外,要求学生关注高频词(如proper, finally)。
最后,在阅读和辨认的基础上,让学生明白“有志者事竟成”和“凡事预则立”的道理。
4. 学情分析(1) 所任教的学校学生英语基础相对比较薄弱,应该有梯度地设置任务,使用分层教学,提高学生的参与度,使不同层次的学生有机会展示自己,获得成就感,体验学习的快乐。
(2) 如何激发学生的学习兴趣也很关键,不仅在课堂中要有大量情景的设置,而且在课外也要与学生进行情感交流,亲其师,信其言。
(3) 同学们已经初步了解了阅读的几个重要技巧,如略读和查读,但是需要反复的练习和巩固。
对高一新生来说,词汇量与阅读技巧都明显不足,因此阅读本篇文章会有一定难度,要求学生做到充分的预习及其查阅资料,获得一定的背景知识。
而且,教师必须给予指导,督促学生养成良好的学习习惯,如预习、记笔记,逐渐发展和完善学习策略。
5. 教学目标(1) 语言知识:通过有情境的课文教学,结合听、说、读、写的语言实践,使学生掌握课文中出现的重要单词、短语和句子的意义和用法。

随着信息时代的到来,人们急需尽快获取各种信息资料,成倍提高工作效率与学习效果,培养学生的快速阅读理解能力是实施英语素质教育的必然要求。
然而,训练学生阅读速度必须建立在学生对文章内容处于陌生状态的基础上,因此,本节课旨在培养他们的阅读兴趣,养成快速阅读习惯和快速阅读理解能力。
根据新课程标准的要求,在教学活动中应该注重发展学生的语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识五个方面的素养,培养其综合运用语言的能力,在教学活动中要有情景创设、学生探究、学生自主处理问题以及巩固训练等环节,以便于培养学生自主学习的能力。
本课在这样的教学目标的指引下,力求实现知识性与人文性的统一。
本节课以Traveling为话题,旨在通过阅读课使学生了解世界各地的旅游胜地,实现阅读能力与表达能力的提高,引导学生用不同的方法阅读文章,通过略读和查读方法训练学生的阅读能力,从而提高学生的阅读能力。
一方面设置了环环相扣的阅读任务,对重要文本信息进行深入处理,训练学生的阅读技能;另一方面重视文本的人文性内涵和学生对文本的情感体验。
在活动设置上,教师不把知识性活动和人文性活动割裂开来或是简单罗列,而是力求融合二者,使学生在巩固阅读技能、输出所学语言的同时学到切实可用的知识,培养教育学生认识到旅行的意义,用旅游来陶冶情操,从而使学生做文明的旅行者。
二.教学背景分析教学内容分析:对于高一年级的学生来说,部分学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础,掌握了一点英、美国家日常生活中的不同传统特点,但总体上来说,还比较少。
旅游课题的安排与学生的生活紧密相连,也是他们很感兴趣的话题,如有机会,他们也很想出国亲身体验其他国家与中国不同的旅游胜地,风土人情和传统生活.基于现实生活,只能引导学生在课堂上发挥丰富的想象力,把课堂模拟成生活,设置阅读篇目,提高语言交际能力.但大部分学生对于西方国家的旅游胜地、风土人情和传统生活所知甚少,加之学生英语成绩的分化比较严重,所以要求学生能课前认真做好预习,借助网络、图书馆和书籍,了解不同地区传统生活的特点和差异,培养自学能力。

Unit3 Reading 教学设计(一)Reading: JOURNEY DOWN THE MEKONG教材分析The passage is the highlight of this unit. It is a piece of travel journal written by Wang Kun. It mainly talks about Wang Kun and his sister’s dream of taking a great bike trip down the Mekong River, their preparations for the trip and some more details of the Mekong River. Critical thinking skills to be developed in this unit will include planning for a trip and solving problems after the trip has begun. The focus in this unit is on how to make travel plans and how to find ways to travel. Practice with creative writing is continued in this unit. Students learn about the purpose of the journal and how it com-pares with the dairy.Warming Up introduces two activities. The first activity is to allow students to examine their attitudes to various forms of travel and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages for each kind of travel. The second activity is to use the information on different forms of travel to plan a holiday.Pre-reading asks students to consider how important a river can be in people’s daily life. Encourage students to name some great rivers that they have heard about.
