以上两句有个共同点,就是要辨析的词语出现在同一个句子里,具有很强的代表性,学生通过阅读就能够自然而然地领悟到词语之间的不同之处。
在举例句时,要求精选结构简单、浅显易懂的句子,这样既有利于教师讲解,也有利于学生理解,对于学术界有分歧的句子应慎用或尽量不用,否则容易使学生越听越糊涂。
二、激励性原则德国教育家第斯多惠说,教学艺术不在于传授本领,而在于激励、唤醒、鼓舞。
激励性的例句容易吸引学生的注意力,增强他们的自信心,调动他们的学习积极性。
如学习go on doing sth/go on with sth(继续做某事).时可采用下列例句:1 Don’t give up,go on with your study.不要放弃,继续学习。
21f you go 0n working hard,you’11 be successful atlast.如果你们继续学习,终究会成功的。
三、趣味性原则“兴趣是最好的老师”。
具有趣味性的例句能活跃学习气氛,激发学生的求知欲,提高他们学习英语的积极性和主动性。
请看下列两组分别关于if引导的时间状语从句和动名词作表语的例句:1If it doesn’t rain tomorrow,we’1l g0 t0 the park.如果明天不下雨,我们将去公园。
巧选教学例句提高课堂效率巧选英语教学例句是打造高效课堂,提高课堂效率的有效途径。
总的来说,好的例句能够很容易地吸引学生的注意力,使学生快捷、轻松地理解并掌握语境中的知识点。
因此,英语教师备课时对于一些参考书上的例句不应信手拈来,而应有所取舍,以提高课堂效率。
一般地说,选用例句时应注意例句是否具有以下特点:一、代表性多数情况下,例句是为解释某个知识点服务的,相当于论点的佐证,因此,必须有代表性,有说服力;并且结构简单,浅显易懂,有助于教师讲解。
学生通过教师所给的例句应当能清楚地理解其中所蕴含的某个知识点的用法。
请看以下例句,注意其优点:1)I am interested in the interesting film. 我对这部有趣的电影非常感兴趣。
2)We have a happy family called China and we live happily.我们有一个幸福的家庭,它的名字叫中国,我们幸福的生活着。
以上两句有个共同点,就是要辨析的词语出现在同一个句子里,具有很强的代表性、对比性和说服力。
学生自然而然就可以领悟到它们的区别。
二、思想性课堂教学中应时时渗透思想教育,而教学例句是英语教学中渗透德育的有效途径之一,若教师多举些思想教育性强的例子,寓教育于教学,让学生懂得且记住例句,那么他们自然就会受到例句所蕴含的思想的熏陶,此类例句可结合社会公德,校纪校规等举出。
例如讲解句型“It +be+adi+for/of sb+to do sth”,可以举出以下例句:(1)It’s go od for people not to jump the queue.插队是不好的。
(2)It’s not polite to shout at the old. 朝老人大叫是不礼貌的。
诸如此类的例句所示的情况,平时老师专门抽出时间来教育不一定见效,学生容易听而不闻,放在英语课堂教学例句中,转换了形式,给学生以潜移默化的教育,别具意义,而且能起到事半功倍的效果。

英语教学无论是讲解语法、解析词汇,还是编写习题,都离不开例句的选用。
一堂课的质量好坏也与例句的选用有着密切的联系。
而不同的教学内容,例句的选用也应多样化,并体现出一定的教育思想和教学原则。
下面笔者就结合多年的教学实践,谈谈个人的几点看法,以起抛砖引玉之用。
一、科学性原则例句是科学知识的载体,其本身不允许有语言知识的错误,故选用例句尽可能选用教参和辞书上的例句,对于学术界观点上有争议或分歧的语句不宜使用,个人自造例句在备课应考虑充分,且要慎用,以避免向学生传输错误信息。
课堂中教师选用的例句犹如一盏航灯,一旦航灯出现错误,学生就会对教师所授内容迷失方向,故科学性原则应是例句选用时首要遵循的一个原则。
二、循序渐进的原则《英语课程标准》中就课堂教学内容和教学要求明确提到这一原则,即要依据语言学习规律,充分体现不同年龄段和不同语言水平学生的学习特点和学习需要。
这一原则同样对教师例句的选用具有指导价值。
笔者以为初学阶段例句不宜过长,结构不会复杂,尽量选用浅显易懂例句,否则很不利于学生的理解记忆。
另外例句所用词汇不宜超过学生当前词汇量,少用超纲词汇。
三、思想性原则例句教学是德育渗透的有效途径之一。
教师在课堂上可以适时地选择思想内容积极向上的例句,英语中很多谚语便具有良好的教育意义。
教师选择这样的例句不仅可以扩大他们的知识面,巩固其所学知识,而且对其正确的世界观、人生观、和价值观的形成也大有裨益。
如以下例句,便具有一定的教育意义。
1、Early to bed,early to rise,makes a man healthy, wealthyand wise.2、No man is born wise.3、Lies can not cover up facts.4、Don't drop behind in your work.在讲到SEFC book IA what is a friend?一单元时,便可引用A frie nd in need is a friend indeed.在讲授will作名词时,便可引用where there is a will,there is a way.四、情景化原则教师在讲解语法、词汇用法时,尽量地创造一定的情景。

笔者却不以为然,认为对于各参考书的例句我们不能全盘照搬,而应根据所教学生的实际情况有所选择,因材施教。
下面是笔者在教学实践中选用例句所遵循的三原则:1、科学性原则例句是语言科学知识的载体,它不能有语言知识的错误:应选用教参或辞书上的例句,慎用自编例句;选用有定论的例句,慎用学术界观点上有分歧的例句。
2、实用性原则所选例句应具有真实性,不是简单的例句搬家:例句不易过长,结构不易复杂,重在说明问题,帮助学生理解记忆;例句选用词汇不易超过学生当前的词汇量,少用超纲词汇;例句联前不联后,它的知识范围可涉及学生学过的知识,但不宜与以后的内容挂联,这对教授新课尤为重要。
3、思想性原则思想性原则也是衡量例句选用是否得当的标准之一,例句教学是德育渗透的有效途径之一,学生理解记住了例句,也就自然而然地受到了例句所蕴涵的思想熏陶。
下面是笔者在教学实践中的例句运用及其效果的归纳:1、简单明了,通俗易懂选择例句应简单明了,通俗易懂。
例如,当教师需要讲解词或词组之间的差别时,可以选用下面一些有代表性的例句,让学生能很快地理解例句中所包含的知识点。
①、He threw a ball through the window②、I am looking for my lost bike, but I can,t find it. Can you help me find out the thief?③、To see is to believe例句①是在讲解同音异形词时所用的例句。
如何科学选用英语例句,有效提高课堂教学效率在平时的英语教学中,无论是新授课中对单词、短语的讲解,语法专题课中对语法现象的说明,试题讲评中对错题的解析,还是编写单元学案、习题时,我们都离不开使用例句。
例句是帮助学生有效理解老师所讲内容的桥梁,是让所讲抽象的理论具体化的工具。
没有例句的使用,就不可能使老师所讲的内容被学生所理解,更不能转化成学生自己的东西。
因此,例句是连接老师和学生不可缺少的纽带。
我们可以想象,一堂课如果都是老师讲的那些空洞而又乏味的理论,而没有一个例句的话,这堂课的教学效率就可想而知。
同理,如果所选例句不得体、不精炼、不达意、不能切中要害时,课堂教学效果同样不会好。
由此可见,一堂课的质量与例句有着密切地联系,我们中学教师在备课时应重视对例句的选用。
然而也有些教师认为,现行的英语教材有与之相配套的教师用书或其它教参用书,特别是新教材甚至连课时教案都给写好了,只要照本宣科就行了,何必再劳心费神呢?这就大错特错了。
对于参考书上的例句,我们不能全盘拿来,而应根据自己的教学实际(受众对象)有所选择。
只有这样才能使我们的教学符合实际,才能有效地提高英语课堂教学效率。
那么,我们应该如何选用例句,在选用例句时应遵循哪些原则呢?就此本人谈一些粗浅的看法。
一、例句的选用应遵循科学性原则例句是所讲语言知识的载体,例句本身不能有语言知识的错误。
因此,正确而又科学地选用例句是非常重要的。
选用例句首要原则就是其科学性,这就要求我们在选用例句时要注意以下几方面:1. 尽可能选用教参、字典或具有权威性书籍上的例句,不可自编例句。
这是严谨治学的最基本的要求,自编例句随意性强,缺乏科学性。
2. 一定要选用有定论的例句,不可把专家或学术界有争论的,有分歧的东西拿来当例句。
我们教给学生的东西首先应该是正确的,是定性的东西,而不是模棱两可的内容。
因为我们所教的学生是学知识的,而不是搞研究的,因此不可把专家都有争议的东西带到课堂教学上来。
3. 所选例句要要贴近学生的现实生活,要符合学生的认知水平。
不可把脱离现实生活或超出学生认知水平的东西作为例句的内容。
这样一来会使所讲的内容越加不明白,从而又增加了教学的难度。
我们知道例句本身是为了帮助学生理解所讲内容,消化所讲知识。
如果例句本身都令人费解的话,其教学效果就可想而知。
例如我们在讲到call on这一短语用作“号召”时,请对比下面两个例句:1) our party called on us to fight with sars. 党号召我们同sars作斗争。
2) chairman mao called on us to learn from daqing in industry and from dazhai in agriculture.毛主席号召我们工业学大庆,农业学大寨。
例句1)贴近学生的现实生活,学生对此比较熟悉,我们每个人都经历过这一民族灾难性时刻,这有利于学生对call on这一短语的理“工业学大庆,农业学大寨”是何意思,因为他们没有经历那个年代。
这一例句的教学效果就比例句1)要差得多。
4. 所选用例句要具有典型性,示范性和启迪性。
所谓典型性指的是例句要经典,要切中问题的要害。
例如我们在讲到receive和accept; lonely和alone这两组词区别时,我们讲了好多它们的用法,以及它们之间的区别,也举了好多例句,但下列这两个例句是必须要用到的。
1)i received invitation from him, but i didn’t accept it.我收到了他的邀请,但我没接受。
2)although the old man stayed at home alone, he didn’t feel lonely at all.尽管这位老人独自一人呆在家里,但他一点都不感到寂寞。
之所以上述两个例句经典,就在于它一语道破天机。
即一个例句完全而又清楚地说明了两者之间的本质性的区别。
让学生清楚而易懂,效果很好。
所谓例句的示范性就是指所选用一个例句尽量来含盖所应讲的内容。
例如在讲到表示“建议”的suggest时。
your going to attend the meeting(后接动名词的复合结构)that you should go to attend the meeting.:(从句中用虚拟语气)he suggested that you (should) not go to attend the meeting(虚拟语气中should的省略)that it was your fault. (他意思是那是你的错。
)me to attend the meeting. (他推荐我去开会)a visit to beijing (他建议到北京参观。
)it was suggested that you (should) go to attend the meeting. (主语从句)his suggestion was that you (should )go to attend the meeting.(表语从句)he made a suggestion that you (should) go to attend the meeting.(同位语从句)所谓例句的启迪性指的是通过所举例子能让学生想起其它类似用法的情况。
在讲到“a如何,b也如何”这一内容时,请看下面的例子:so do i.he works in that factor , so he does.so he does and so does shehe promised to help me, and he did so.he doesn’t work in the factory, neither(nor) does she.he works in the factory, but he doesn’t work hard. so it is with her.让学生仔细阅读题干,填写横线上的内容。
然后老师逐一讲解它们的用法以及它们之间的区别。
他在那个工厂上班,我也在那里上班。
是,他在那里上班。
是,他在那里上班,她也在那里上班。
他答应要帮助我,他真的帮助了我。
他不在那工厂里上班,她也不在那里上班。
他在那工厂里上班,但工作不卖力,她也如此。
二、例句选用应遵循实用性原则例句的实用性指的是所选例句要切合学生的实际,要服务于所讲内容,要简明扼要,要就事论事,要浅显易懂,要切中要害。
1.例句不宜过长,结构不宜太复杂,重在说明问题。
如果例句过长或结构过于复杂会影响生理解记忆,并且会冲淡主题。
2.例句所用词汇不宜过难,也就是说不能超过当前学生所拥有的词汇量,切不可用超纲词汇,这样使本用来说明问题的例句难以理解,增加了所讲问题的难度。
我们所使用例句的主要目的不是扩大学生的词汇量,而重在用以说明问题。
要做到这一点,我们必须多查参考书,尽量选用浅显易懂的例句。
3.例句重在说明当前所讲的问题,其内容可联系前面学生所学过的知识,但绝不能牵扯后面没学到的新内容,这样会使所讲内容复杂化,弄得学生不知东西.从而增加了目前所学知识的难度。
这一点对新授课来说尤为重要。
但复习课却有所不同,复习课的例句可以上挂下联,串前连后,可跨章节,跨单元、跨册,甚至可可高、初中不同的学段,因为这些都是他们曾经所学过的内容,这样有利于学生知识的系统掌握,会收到很好的教学效果。
4.在讲解词义辨析或不同句型结构时,尽量选用经济实惠,一语双关,让学生从简明扼要的例句中轻松易懂其间的奥秘即,巧辨尽在一言中。
请看下面的例句是否体现这一精神1)he was caught alive, but he wasn’t hanged, still living.他被活捉了,但没处以绞刑,还活着。
2) i am ashamed of what you’ve done, i think your behavior is shameful.我为你的所作所为害羞,我认为你的行为太可耻了。
3) he was badly wounded and he needed help badly他伤得很厉害,急需要帮助。
4) he fled the prison but he didn’t escape punishment by law in the end.尽管他越狱而逃,但最终逃脱不了法律的惩罚5)the robbers robbed the bank last night and stole a lot of money from it.那伙抢盗昨晚抢了那家银行,偷走了大量的钱。
6) she missed her daughter , especially last night, she came here specially to see her.她想念她的女儿,尤其是昨晚,她特意来看她。
7) the replay is not an answer. 这一回答不中肯。
8) what kind of teacher is he? 他是教哪科的老师?what kind of a teacher is he? 他教书教得怎么样?三、例句的选用应贯彻循序渐进性原则所谓例句的循序渐进指的是由浅入深,层层递近,不可单刀直入,一步到位。
这一点尤其是对多年从事高三教学的老师讲授起始年级的课程来说尤为重要。
他们往往以高三学生的教学要求来从事他们的课堂教学,而忽视了起始年级学生的认知水平。
常常把高考试题或高三常练的一些精典例题作为例句用在新授课上,虽然用心是好的,想让学生一步到位,但效果却是不理想的,欲速则不达。
因此,我们要针对不同的认知对象,根据不同的课型,在例句的选用上要切实做到具体问题具体对待,也就是要贯彻循序渐进性原则,不要急于求成。
现用下面的例句来说明这一点。
当我们讲到spend这个单词的用法时,我们应首先讲述这一单词的基础用法,用下列的例句开始。
1.he spent 2000 yuan to buy / on a colour tv set. 他花了2000 元买了一台彩电。
2.he often spends two hours (in) practicing his spoken english every day.他每天常常花两个小时的时间来练习口语。
3.he spent his childhood in countryside. 他在乡下度过了他的童年。
我们决不能上来就用下面的例句。
因为例句4和例句5比较复杂,虽然它们都是平常考试的重点,但在新授课中这样的例句不符合学生的认知规律。
让学生理不清头绪,只有随着他们知识的不断增长,在综合练习中才会出现类似的题目。
