THE IMPORTANCE OF CHILDREN'S PLAY儿童玩耍的重要性Brick by brick, six-year-old Alice is building a magical kingdom. Imagining fairy-tale turrets and fire-breathing dragons, wicked witches and gallant heroes, she's creating an enchanting world. Although she isn't aware of it, this fantasy is helping her take her first steps towards her capacity for creativity and so it will have important repercussions in her adult life. But we live in changing times, and there is a worldwide decline in play. The opportunities for free play, which people experienced almost every day of their childhood two decades ago, are becoming increasingly scarce. Outdoor play is curtailed by perceptions of risk to do with traffic, as well as parents' increased wish to protect their children from being the victims of crime, and by the emphasis on 'earlier is better' which is leading to greater competition in academic learning and schools. Some studies conducted with toddlers and young preschoolers found that children with greater self-control solved problems more quickly when exploring an unfamiliar set-up requiring scientific reasoning. This sort of evidence supports that giving children the chance to play will make them more successful problem-solvers in the long run.If playful experiences do facilitate this aspect of development, say the researchers, it could be extremely significant for educational practices, because the ability to self-regulate has been shown to be a key predictor of academic performance.Somehow the importance of play has been lost in recent decades. It's regarded as something trivial, or even as something negative that contrasts with "work". Let's not lose sight of its benefits, and the fundamental contributions it makes to human achievements in the arts, sciences and technology. Let's make sure children have a rich diet of play experiences.Virtually every child, the world over, plays. The drive to play is so intense that children will do so in any circumstance s, for instance when they have no real toys, or when parents do not actively encourage the behavior. In the eyes of a young child, running, pretending, and building are fun. Researchers and educators know that these playful activities benefit the development of the whole child across social, cognitive, physical, and emotional domains.Through play, children learn to regulate their behavior, lay the foundations for later learning in science and mathematics, figure out the complex negotiations of social relationships, build a repertoire of creative problem-solving skills, and so much more. There is also an important role for adults in guiding children through playful learning opportunities.Play is pleasurable: Children must enjoy the activity or it is not play. It is intrinsically motivated: Children engage in play simply for the satisfaction the behavior itself brings. It has no extrinsically motivated function or goal. Play is process oriented: When children play, the means are more important than the ends. It is freely chosen, spontaneous and voluntary. If a child is pressured, they will likely not think of the activity as play. Play i s actively engaged: Players must be physically and/or mentally involved in the activity. Play is non-literal. It involves make-believe.运动对孩子的作用(政府应该支持):Playing games, besides being fun, helps a child to stay physically fit. Usually small children are energetic, so playing sports helps put energy to good use; so much so, any investment on the part of the government in this respect is worthwhile. Because physical exercise builds the healthy body, we should have a special budget to upgrade our kids' physical fitness. If not, we will be raising an obese and unfit generation. That is to say, engaging i n different kinds of sporting activities is essential to a child's physical development in different ways, all translating into overall physical benefits. For example, games that involve running, kicking or throwing a ball strengthen the arms and legs, and swimming provides a full body workout, and so on.Researchers say that children who play sports tend to be in a mentally happier state of mind than those who do not. And probably there is no match to that kind of mental happiness which this brings. The same reports explain that sports are a form of exercise that generates what is called 'happiness molecules' in the body, thus restoring the mental health by easing stress and releasing emotions. In view of this, public facilities like sports parks should be timely built and sufficiently funded at as many key destinations as possible iin order to ensure the younger generation's mental health. To put it in another way, by strengthening their muscles and bones for a sound body, children could also benefit greatly from playingsports for a positive mind. With that positive mentality, it is very likely that those kids who regularly play sports also fare well in academics at school.Although it is not necessary to make every child a sport hero or a professional football star for the next generation, it must be a country's responsibility to create a sporting environment for their physical and mental wellbeing. However important it is to foster national pride and unity through preparing our competitors in international events, we cannot afford not to motivate our kids to play sports here and now. So, should strictly money be the issue, some of today's children who are good enough in sports can win Olympic medals, or even play for money.电脑游戏对孩子的影响(利和弊) :Many people, and children in particular, enjoy playing computer games. While l accept that these games can sometimes have a positive effect on the user, I believe that they are more likely to have a harmful impact. On the one hand, video games can be both entertaining and educational. Users, or gamers, are transported into virtual worlds which are often more exciting and engaging than real-life pastimes. From an educational perspective, these games encourage imagination and creativity, as well as concentration, logical thinking and problem solving, all of which are useful skills outside the gaming context. Furthermore, it has been shown that computer simulation games can improve users' motor skills and help to prepare them for real-world tasks, such as flying a plane. However, I would argue that these benefits are outweighed by the drawbacks. Gaming can be highly addictive because users are constantly given scores, new targets and frequent rewards to keep them playing. Many children now spend hours each day trying to progress through the levels of a game or to get a higher score than their friends. This type of addiction can have effects ranging from lack of sleep to problems at school, when homework is sacrificed for a few more hours on the computer or console. The rise in obesity in recent years has also been linked in part to the sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise that often accompany gaming addiction. In conclusion, it seems to me that the potential dangers of video games are more significant than the possible benefits. In many places today, children start primary school at around the age of six or seven. However, because it is more likely now that both parents work, there is little opportunity for children to stay in their own home up to that age. Instead, they will probably go to a nursery school when they are much younger. While some people think this may be damaging to a child’s development, or to a child’s relationship with his or her parents, in fact there are many advantages to having school experience at a young age.Firstly, a child will learn to interact with a lot of different people and some children learn to communicate very early because of this. They are generally more confident and independent than children who stay at home with their parents and who are not used to strangers or new situations. Such children find their first day at school at the age of six very frightening and this may have a negative effect on how they learn.Another advantage of going to school at an early age is that children develop faster socially. They make friends and learn how to get on with other children of a similar age. This is often not possible at home because they are the only child, or because their brothers or sisters are older or younger. So overall, I believe that, attending school from a young age is good for most children. They still spend plenty of time at home with their parents, so they can benefit from both environments. Many young people work on a volunteer basis, and this can only be beneficial for both the individual and society as a whole. However, I do not agree that we should therefore force all teenagers to do unpaid work. Most young people are already under enough pressure with their studies, without being given the added responsibility of working in their spare time. School is just as demanding as a full-time job, and teachers expect their students to do homework and exam revision on top of attending lessons every day. When young people do have some free time, we should encourage them to enjoy it with their friends or to spend it doing sports and other leisure activities. They have many years of work ahead of them when they finish their studies. At the same time, I do not believe that society has anything to gain from obliging young people to do unpaid work. In fact, I would argue that it goes against the values of a free and fair society to force a group of people to do something against their will. Doing this can only lead to resentment amongst young people, who would feel that they were being used, and parents, who would not want to be told how to raise their children. Currently, nobody is forced to volunteer, and this is surely the best system. In conclusion, teenagers may choose to work for free and help others, but in my opinion we should not make this compulsory. It is quite common these days for young people in many countries to have a break from studying after graduating from high school. The trend is not restricted to rich students who choose to work and become economically independent for a period of time. The reasons for this trend may involve the recognition that a young adult who passes directly from school to university is rather restricted in terms of general knowledge and experience of the world.By contrast, those who have spent some time earning a living or travelling to other places, have a broader view of life and better personal resources to draw on. They tend to be more independent, which is a very important factor in academic study and research, as well as giving them an advantage in terms of coping with the challenges of student life. However, there are certainly dangers in taking time off at that important age. Young adults may end up never returning to their studies or finding it difficult to readapt to an academic environment. They may think that it is better to continue in a particular job, or to do something completely different from a university course. But overall, I think this is less likely today, when academic qualifications are essential for getting a reasonable career. My view is that young people should be encouraged to broaden their horizons. That is the best way for them to get a clear perspective of what they are hoping to do with their lives and why. Students with such a perspective are usually the most effective and motivated ones and taking a year off may be the best way to gain this. I tend to agree that young children can be negatively affected by too much time spent on the computer every day. This is partly because sitting in front of a screen for too long can be damaging to both the eyes and the physical posture of a young child, regardless of what they are using the computer for. However, the main concern is about the type of computer activities that attract children. These are often electronic games that tend to be very intense and rather violent. The player is usuallyt he ‘hero’ of the game and too much exposure can encourage children to be self-centered and insensitive to others.Even when children use a computer for other purposes, such as getting information or emailing friends, it is no substitute for human interaction. Spending time with other children and sharing non-virtual experiences is and important part of a child’s development that cannot be provided by a computer. In spite of this, the obvious benefits of computer skills for young children cannot be denied. Their adult world will be changing constantly in terms of technology and the Internet is the key to all the knowledge and information available in the world today. Therefore, it is important thatchildren learn at an early age to use the equipment enthusiastically and with confidence, as they will need these skills throughout their studies and working lives.I think the main point is to make sure that young children do not overuse computers. Parents must ensure that their children learn to enjoy other kinds of activity and not simply sit at home, learning to live in a virtual world. When they finish school, teenagers face the dilemma of whether to get a job or continue their education. While there are some benefits to getting a job straight after school, I would argue that it is better to go to college or university. The option to start work straight after school is attractive for several reasons. Many young people want to start earning money as soon as possible. In this way, they can become independent, and they will be able to afford their own house or start a family. In terms of their career, young people who decide to find work, rather than continue their studies, may progress more quickly. They will have the chance to gain real experience and learn practical skills related to their chosen profession. This may lead to promotions and a successful career. On the other hand, I believe that it is more beneficial for students to continue their studies. Firstly, academic qualifications are required in many professions. For example, it is impossible to become a doctor, teacher or lawyer without having the relevant degree. As a result, university graduates have access to more and better job opportunities, and they tend to earn higher salaries than those with fewer qualifications. Secondly, the job market is becoming increasingly competitive, and sometimes there are hundreds of applicants for one position in a company. Young people who do not have qualifications from a university or college will not be able to compete. For the reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that students are more likely to be successful in their careers if they continue their studies beyond school level. Traditionally children have begun studying foreign languages at secondary school, but introducing them earlier is recommended by some educationalists. This policy has been adopted by some educational authorities or individual schools, with both positive and j negative outcomes. The obvious argument in its favor is that young children pickup languages much more easy than teenagers. Their brains are still programmed to acquire their mother tongue, which facilitates learning another language, and unlike adolescents, they are not inhibited by self-consciousness.The greater flexibility of the primary timetable allows for more frequent, shorter sessions and for a play-centered approach, thus maintaining learners' enthusiasm and progress. Their command of the language in later life will benefit from this early exposure, while learning other languages subsequently will be easier for them. They may also gain a better understanding of other cultures. There are, however, some disadvantages. Primary schoolteachers are generalists, and may not have the necessary language skills themselves. If specialists have to be brought into deliver these sessions, the flexibility referred to above is diminished. If primary language teaching is not standardized, secondary schools could be faced with a great variety of levels in different languages within their intake, resulting in a classroom experience which undoes the earlier gains. There is no advantage if enthusiastic primary pupils become demotivated as soon as they change schools. However, these issues can be addressed strategically within the policy adopted.Anything which encourages language learning benefits society culturally and economically, and early exposure to language learning contributes to this. Young children's innate abilities should be ha messed to make these benefits more achievable. Today, education has become a priority for many parents seeking to secure a good future for their children in this rapidly changing world. They believe that if their children apply themselves andwork hard at school, then they will increase their opportunities for going to higher education and eventually getting a good job. Of course, they are right, and as access to the best education and best jobs is becoming more competitive, then it is true that children have to make the best oftheir study time when they are young. However, the parents who do not allow their children sufficient free time for leisure activities outside school hours are misguided. Such activities are far from being a waste of time for the children simply because they are not academic. It is important to remember that children need to develop skills other than intellectual ones, and the best way to do this is through activities such as sports, games and playing with other kids. If they cannot play make-believe games, how can they develop their imagination? How can they learn physical co-ordination or learn important social lessons about winning and losing if they do not practice any sports? Many children form strong, personal relationships with the friends they played with, and without the opportunity to do this, they could grow up emotionally immature and unformed. Finally, I think it is also important to remember that children need to relax as well as work. If everything they do must have some educational or academic relevance, then they will soon get tired of studying together, which is the least thing parents would want. Students spend a great deal of time and money on tertiary study; therefore, vocational subjects would be a better investment in terms of immediate job opportunities. However, not everyone has an aptitude for science, engineering or medicine, and there is a need for graduates with expertise gained from arts courses. In subjects such as philosophy, students learn a valuable set of skills. They become active thinkers who learn how to solve problems, rather than passive learners who memorize facts an d other people’s ideas. Philosophy students become proficient at critical and moral thinking, argumentation and debate. The ability to examine and analyze topical issues or challenge the status quo is very important. After all, someone needs to question the results or indeed the usefulness of scientific research, the politician’s assertions, and historical events and assumptions in general. What is more, scandals in business and government emphasize the need for ethics in the corporate and public domain. The sciences and business are clearly very important for our community, and those who have talent should, of course, pursue a university degree and a career in those fields. If, however, they also have training in logic and analytical thinking or a broad general knowledge from studying arts subjects, they are more likely to be able to solve problems, create initiatives, identify bias and avoid major pitfalls as they progress through their careers. In short, I wholeheartedly disagree with the statement that arts subjects should not be taught. I suggest that every student should have instruction in philosophy, history or other arts subjects, even if they elect to major in the sciences, because learning critical thinking skills, and developing a wide background knowledge, will benefit them enormously in later life. In addition to this general training, we need specialist graduates in arts subjects to make their contribution to a well-rounded society. 10 reasons why arts in education is important for kids:There is no doubt that the arts are fun for kids. Diving into those finger paints and making a beautiful picture to hang on the fridge is awesome. Acting in a play is exhilaration. But the arts also help children develop on many fundamental levels. Here are the top ten ways that the arts help kids learn and develop important characteristics they will need as adults:1. Creativity. Arts allow kids to express themselves better than math or science. They are allowedto use their imagination to create the things (paintings or songs) based on their knowledge and perception of the world without being restricted. In the art class, children are asked to recite a monologue in six different ways, creating a painting that represents a memory, or compose a new rhythm to enhance a piece of music. If children have practice thinking creatively, it will come naturally to them now and in their future career.2. Improved academic performance. The arts don’t just develop a child’s creativity-the skills theylearn because of them spill over into academic achievement.3. Motor skills. This applies mostly to younger kids who do art or play an instrument. Simplethings like holding a paintbrush and scribbling with a crayon are an important element to developing a child’s fine motor skills.4. Confidence. While mastering a subject certainly build a student’s confidence, there issomething special about participating in the arts. Getting up on a stage and singing gives kidsa chance to step outside their comfort zone. As they improve and see their own progress, theirself-confidence will continue to grow.5. Visual learning. Especially for young kids, drawing, painting, and sculpting in art class helpdevelop visual-spatial skills. Children need to know more about the world than just what they can learn through text and numbers. Art education teaches students how to interpret, criticize, and use visual information, and how to make choices based on it.6. Decision-making. The arts strengthen problem solving and critical thinking skills. How do Iexpress this feeling through my dancing? How should I play this character? Learning how to make choices and decisions will certainly carry over into their education and other parts of life-as this is certainly a valuable skill in adulthood.7. Perseverance. I know from personal experience that the arts can be challenging. When I wastrying to learn and master the clarinet, there were many times when I became so frustrated thatI wanted to quit. But I didn’t. After practicing hard, I learned that hard work and perseverancepay off. This mindset will certainly matter as they grow-especially during their career where they will likely be asked to continually develop new sills and work through difficult projects. 8. Focus. As you preserve through a painting or singing or learning a part in a play, focus isimperative. And certainly focus is vital for studying and learning in class as well as doing a job later in life.9. Collaboration. Many of the arts such as band, choir, and theater require kids to work together. They must share responsibility and compromise to achieve their common goal. Kids learn that their contribution to the group is integral to its success-even if they don’t have the solo or lead role.10. Accountability. Just like collaboration, kids in the arts learn that they are accountable for theircontributions to the group. If they drop the ball or mess up, they realize that it’s important to take responsibility for what they did. Mistakes are a part of life, and learning to accept them, fix them, and move on will serve kids well as they grow older.。

篇一Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice? As knowledge and experience serve as twim towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, eitther to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Neuton, siiting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for others’ widsom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned f rom others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great lea der is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstormand exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other.Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do.篇二Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone's mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group's wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders' of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others' advice instead of getting everything done on one's own promotes democracy and communication too. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutualrespect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do.篇三After they complete their university studies, some students live in their hometowns. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is beterr? Give reasons for your answer. After they complete their univerrsity studies, some students preferr to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city. I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several differrent musiums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty in finding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there.Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can look after my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I go back to my home city, everybody will bewaiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choise is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must.Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.篇四If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regular thing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes with what's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decide where it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visiting relatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral. I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one! A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or she can make all the difference in the world to your life.篇五Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and esamples to support your answer. Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs ou tside the house don’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stand usually costs five or six dollars for one person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home. Eating at home is better for you, too. Mealsat restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarine instead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control your portion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a full plate of food "because you paid for it."It’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop, or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take up a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.。
Students can use their mobile phones to surf on the Internet or listen to the music while doing their homework. Firstly,it is impossible for students to concentrate on their homework while doing something else at the same time. This is because homework usually demands a relatively quiet place and full concentration from the student. Conversely,if a student is doing homework and listening to music or surfing online as well, his or her attention will be torn apart, and the efficiency of finishing homework will be inevitably affected. A good case in point is my own experience. When I am working on a mission such as preparing a presentation,I have to devote all my attention to it and cannot afford any slight disturbance. If I randomly refresh my Weibo or Wechat on cell phone,my job would be bound to last for a longer time. It is + adj. + for sb. to do A.正面说理:This is because。

It is common belief that the rapid development of our daily means of transport such as bus, automobile, subway and so on has a significant effect on human life. Owing to the fact, people can save time and take easy way to commute during hour traffic. To illustrate this viewpoint, I can not think of a better example than private cars. Compared with walking on foot, it isdramatically fast and driving is not as complicated as operating a carriage. The importance of modern technology is clear to us.In addition, another indispensable part of my consideration is that the efficiency in communication has been greatly improved by the development of technology. It is a truth universally acknowledged that the modern society has a desperate need for efficiency especially in commercial practice or an educational environment. Compared to the past, it took people then one to six months to write letters and made it reach to other end of communication, if the distance was too far away. The present-day society has witnessed the huge amount of time being saved by using computers and E-mails. Sometimes, this can be minimized to as quickly as one second. And of course, I do not intend to create the impression here that technology is all good. However, there is no escaping the fact that technology also has some disadvantages like wars, pollutions, and the decline of our health. W e admit that some modern problems of society ar e attributed to the application of the bad parts and the mistaken extension beyond our law and humanity. Nevertheless, what I need to emphasize here is that most of these issues can be solved or even prevented with the development of technology. They fail to look at the matter in the long run. In the final analysis, I am still of the firm opinion that……,and sum up the given reasons discussed above, we can safely reach the conclusion that choosing……is a rather wise decision if……. In the final analysis, I am still of the firm opinion that it is necessary for college students to work on a part-time job during there college years. It is on a whole an optional act to us to work before graduation.小作文综合写作:Introduction:●Overall, the speaker refutes(反驳) the reading materials argument about___1主题___ by providing contradictory(反对的)evidence concerning several critical respects (aspects) listed below.●In summary, the lecture casts serious doubt on the reading passages in thediscussion of whether ___1主题____ by questioning the following essential parts of the argument.Body paragraph 1:●The speaker begins by pointing out that___2听力反驳的第一个层面___●While the reading passages maintains that___3阅读的相关内容____,thispoint is invalidated by the listening material because the speaker argue that___*4听力第一论据____Body paragraph 2:●Next, the Speaker continues his refutation against the view expressed in thereading with the aid of the fact that___*5听力材料第二层面___.●Although ___6阅读相关内容____, the speaker completely disagrees it andprove that ____*7听力第二论点的论据___.Body paragraph3:●In terms of ___8听力第三个层面___, the passage and the lecture reachnothing but a disagreement.●Differing from the former which claims that____9阅读相关内容___, thelatter remains a suspicious attitude that___*10 听力第三点论据___. Overall,the speaker refutes the reading materials argument about The School Uniform Policy, by providing contradictory evidence concerning several aspects listed below. In summary, the lecture casts serious doubt on the reading passages in the discussion of whether schools should implement a compulsory School Uniform Policy. The speaker begins by pointing out that cost and expenses in carrying out this policy. While the reading passage maintains that wearing school uniform is to reduce family’s economic burden, this point is invalidated by the listening material because the speaker argues that school uniform will require additional spending of buying more cloths and they are not very likely to be wore for a long time.Next, the speaker continues his refutation against the view expressed in the reading with the aid of the fact that it has a negative influence on students’academic performance. Although this policy tends to reduce transformation and save time in choosing cloths, students show the opposite result and may do harm to individual students taste and freedom. In terms of the connection between wearing trendy cloths and occurrence of violence events, the passage and the lecture reach nothing but a disagreement. Differing from the former which claims that to wear personal and fashionable clothes may incur violence in school environments, the latter remains asuspicious attitude that this approach is far from effective and suggests that alternative methods such as being kind, walking with company and so on. According to my understanding, the greatest leader of all times was Mahatma Gandhi . and I have several reasons for that. Why:to begin with,——,for example,——Besides,——,simply because,——So,——替换:I think/ believe/ suppose / guess/ betIn my opinion/ I assume thatAccording to my understandingAs far as I am concernedI hold the opinion thatI am under the impression thatI got the feeling that并列结构:To begin with; Also, personally speakingFor one thing;nevertheless,I believe thatFirst and foremost;in additionFor one thing;in the second place,First; That, however,……Like & Dislike:My favorite ……isI love/ enjoy/ have a fancy for/ have a great affection forI care for/ do fancy forI find my self addicted toI absolutely am into/ crazy aboutI am a (mobile) nut/ a big funSth. To begin with,he is really concerned about all the students in his class. For example, he would meet with me and other students after class to make sure that we understand his lessons. Also, personally speaking, he is of great help to those ambitious students who were eager to attend the foreign universities fill out their applications and edit their personal statement till very late.W ell, to be honest, I got the felling that good parents all distinguished themselves in treating their child patiently with an open mind. For one thing, it often takes many efforts to teach their kid about good and bad. Sometimes when kid gets very radical the parents needs to be patient enough to bring him or her back to the track. In addition a good parent also needs to be supportive enough when the child raises a reasonable request. If the kids are in trouble they should trust the kids to make their own decisions, like how to spend their pocket money or which study group to join. Only such parent can one make a good parent.W ell, according to my understanding, Lance Armstrong is my most admirable role model for several reasons. First and foremost, he is a cyclist who has won the Tour de France seven times in a row. That, however, is not the only reason I respected this man. He also battled the cancer. When I heard his story, it changed my life. Lance Armstrong inspired me to never give up my dream of going to the Olympics, even though it may seem impossible. All in all, his qualities of endurance and perseverance compelled me to become a better athlete and a stringer person. In my opinion, the most distinctive thing in my daily life is my cell phone, because it has amazingly changed my life in two main aspects. To begin with, it helps me communicate with the world around me. For example, by using my cell phone, I could keep in touch with my friends, family members, classmates, you know, everyone! And even in dangerous situations, it could even save my life. I will just have to make a call telling others that I am in danger. More importantly, if I have to say, it’s also a great entertainment. When I get bored, it’s a music box, because my favorite MP3 music and MP4 movie-clips within my cell will easily cheer me up.W ell, without doubt, I’d like to say comedy amuses me most and I have a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it’s so relaxing. Whenever I want to watch a movie, more often than not, I’m looking for something fun, something thatrelieves my tiredness or sadness. A comedy fits my demand perfectly, as it’s nothing doctrine to teach seriously unlike documentaries, or tragedies or tear-jerkers and so on. Besides, Zhou Xing chi is the most famous and welcome joking star in my country, for 2 years I only focus on his shows, comedies of course. That’s why I really into all sorts of comedies, since they make me laugh every time and forget myself.I think computer is the most important invention in the recent 100 years for the following reasons. For one thing, computer connects the whole world as closely as possible so that different people can share information and communicate with each other by new methods, such as MSN, QQ, and E-mail. In addition, computer has also pushed the increasing trends of science and technology, based on their amazing calculating ability has been applied in the most high-tech fields, many software are developed to help research in other disciplines. W ell, in my opinion, my 20th birthday, my first surprising party held by my friends, surprised me most, and I have 2 main reasons for that. First of all, I was amazed by the definition of true friendship as some of my old friends traveling 2 hours by airplane coming to celebrate my birthday, who attacked me dramatically with a birthday cake. Another thing that was surprising and touching to me was that they took a photo of me which made the whole occasion unforgettable. Finally, they sang a birthday song for me according to western tradition, which is totally beyond my expectation.I got the feeling that just as people in western countries do, we Chinese hold Spring Festival to celebrate our lunar new year, which is the biggest event for each family as well as the whole nation. First, on the eve there usually is a big family reunion, and all families from all over China will be sitting around the same table, feasting, toasting and chitchatting. At 12 o’clock, we set off fire works and let our crackers in order to celebrate the coming of New Y ear. And after that, we visit our friends and relations to send our best wishes. W ell, as far as I am concerned, a forest would be my dream land for residence, and I have two main reasons for that. First of all, it is a fantastic way of embracing the great nature. If I got a chance, I would choose to build a splendid garden with whole lot of flowers, which will relieve me from strains burden. Besides, the tropical weather that I will enjoy is a perfect natural environment. For example, I don’t have to worry about the off-gas from automobiles, nor dazzling reflection of sun light from modern skyscrapers at all.W ell, I hold the opinion that living in a modern apartment with large roomswould be a wise decision, and I have two main reasons for that. First, I could always feel relaxed inside, since it has high ceilings and only a few pieces of modern furniture so it would feel more spacious than ever. Besides, I am also crazy about all the big picture windows that I could throw open in summer, so that the whole place would be light and airy. And so my room like that will really lift my spirits whenever I feel down or upset. A or B ——preferA or 非A ——agree or disagree模板1:W ell, in such a dilemma, I believe __A__ is definitely a better choice in contrast with ___B__.
Businesses are as likely as are governments to establish large bureaucracies, but bureaucracy is far more damaging to a business than it is to a government.模板:Contrary to the statement’s premise, my view is that businesses are less likely than government to establish large bureaucracies, because businesses know that they are more vulnerable than government to damage resulting from bureaucratic inefficiencies. My position is well supported by common sense and by observation.

As a result, the question of who is a more important influence is difficult to answer, but what is undeniable is that parents should and classmates can have significant impact on a childs success in school.Parents are responsible for raising a child, and they should instill the value of education in him. After all, a child who enjoys education and learning is more likely to do well in school. This success will open up all kinds of opportunities in his future, from studying at a reputable university to finding a good job. Therefore, parents should take an active interest in their childs education and help him through difficult times by encouraging and motivating him. Nevertheless, parents must be careful not to force their child to success, particularly in early adolescence. Many teenagers become temporarily alienated from their parents during this period of their life, and a parents insistence on academic excellence against the childs will could further erode their relationship and also have a negative effect on the childs schooling.Relationships to classmates have a significant effect on a childs academic performance, because it is in their company that most of a students learning takes place. Since it is important for children of all ages to be accepted by their peers, much of a students life is spent trying to fit in. Ideally, students will motivate and learn from each other, but often the opposite is the case. A student who shines in the classroom can become a social outcast, because his/her classmates are jealous of his/her performance. This can then cause him/her to become less inclined to study and work hard, because acceptance by the classmates is more important to him/her than high marks. Hire an inexperienced worker with low salary or an experienced one with high salary? If you were an employer, which kind of worker would you prefer to hire: an inexperienced worker at a lower salary or an experienced worker at a higher salary?

It is better to work for a business owned by someone else than to work for a business owned by your family.”我们以【立场:work for a business owned by someone else】为例,展现这一招“四两拨千斤”:先争论对方的劣势:假如work for a business owned by my family,可能会让我感到不适。
If I work for a business owned by my family, the atmosphere of the company may feel strange, making me uncomfortable. This is my case, actually. I declined the offer from my uncle’s company for theconsideration that since I may be recognized as the nephew of the company’s owner, other staff may show a defensive attitude and gesture when they work with me. They may exchange ideas behind my back, and although those ideas may not be bad words about the company, they would not involve me in the discussion. Meanwhile, the office may be a stressful place, because there in their eye is a spy or a snitcher, which is me. I do not think that I could feel comfortable working in such an environment as my coworkers would behave with too much discretion in front of me.

1Cultivating Independent ThinkingIn today's rapidly changing world, the ability to think independently is more important than ever. It enables individuals to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and contribute to society. To foster independent thinking, several strategies can be employed.Firstly, education plays a crucial role in developing independent thinking skills. Schools and universities should focus on fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities rather than solely emphasizing memorization and rote learning.

Title: The Importance of a Balanced EducationIn the debate between a broad-based education and a specialized one, it is crucial to recognize that both have their place in today's world. However, the ideal education is one that strikes a balance between the two. A balanced education not only equips students with a range of knowledge and skills, but also cultivates their critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability.Firstly, a broad-based education provides students with a solid foundation in multiple disciplines. This foundation not only enriches their understanding of the world but also equips them with a wide range of perspectives and ways of thinking. For instance, the humanities help us understand the complexities of human behavior and culture, while the sciences give us a deeper comprehension of the natural world and its laws. By studying a variety of subjects, students are able to gain a more holistic understanding of the world and become more informed citizens. Moreover, a balanced education allows students to specialize in their areas of interest. In today's interconnected world, expertise in a particular field is essential. However, merely focusing on one subject can lead to an incomplete understanding of complex issues. For instance, environmental science is not just about biology and chemistry; it also involves economics, politics, and sociology. By combining their general knowledge with specialized expertise, students are better equipped to tackle complex problems and offer innovative solutions. In addition, a balanced education fosters critical thinking and creativity. By studying different subjects, students learn to think creatively and critically. They learn to analyze problems from multiple perspectives, identify patterns and connections, and generate new ideas. This skill set is invaluable in today's rapidly changing world where problem-solving abilities are highly prized. Finally, a balanced education prepares students for the unknown challenges of the future. The world is becoming increasingly complex and unpredictable, making adaptability an essential skill. A well-rounded education equips students with the tools they need tonavigate this uncertainty. They are able to adapt to new situations, learn new skills, and pivot when necessary. In conclusion, a balanced education that combines breadth and depth is essential for personal and professional success in today's world. It provides students with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills, fosters critical thinking and creativity, and prepares them for the challenges of an unpredictable future. Therefore, it is crucial that education systems prioritize a balanced approach to learning that encourages exploration and specialization, enabling students to reach their full potential in today's rapidly evolving world.。

Do you agree or disagree: Improving schools is the most important factor to successful development of a country.
中间段1.让步段,承认提升学校的质量重要,但并不是最重要;

To start with, the improvement of schools can serve as the anchor of social order. To be more specific, the educational system of higher quality can hasten the rhythm of fostering more elites that can apply into various industries. And that will not only speed up the modification in the society but also sort out the vehement employment issue to stabilize the society. Recently an emergency that is the exodus of children lashes Northern Triangle in Central America and it is primarily induced by the austere economic stagnation and high incidence of violence. According to the statistics, the murder rate in Northern Triangle is among the highest in the world, which should, in some degree, be ascribed to the truth that nearly a quarter of youngsters there neither work nor study, more than anywhere else in the Latin America. Cognizant of the urgent issue, the joint efforts are soon made by the president in the United States and the three governments in Northern Triangle to bolster the job-creating industries such as tourism, manufacturing and agribusiness that can hardly be achieved without precipitating the educational progress. Evidently, the lift of education quality will stem the migration tide and build up the flourishing economic state.
