人格特质理论(theory of personality trait)起 源于上个世纪40年代的美国。主要代表人物是 美国心理学家奥尔波特和卡特尔。特质理论认 为，特质(trait)是决定个体行为的基本特性， 是人格的有效组成元素，也是测评人格所常用 的基本单位。
