An announcement for a voluntary program
Now people in growing numbers realize that it is important for college students to take an active part in social activities. Therefore, the student union of our university decides to organize a social practice during the summer holiday and is now recruiting volunteers from all the students.
The details of the activity are listed as follows. First of all, the activity is designated to broaden the students’view so as to enrich their knowledge. Next, the arrangement mainly includes looking after the senior citizens who live alone, introducing the effective ways of environmental protection to the passers-by in the street and cooperating in a survey for some companies. Last but not least, the timetable, namely schedule, will be settled down by next Monday.
It is high time that we placed great emphasis on the information beyond books. As long as you are an undergraduate student of this university and are willing to take the responsibility to help others.

Aiming at helping children to be independent ,parents ,in my opinion ,have a lot of things to do .Firstly ,dad and mom should learn to let go .What should they do in case it rains ?They will learn to take an umbrella after being caught in the rain several times .Secondly ,parents had better praise them when the young do perfectly .It is an encouragement that makes progress .Lastly ,parents should be a teacher rather than a criticism when children do something wrong .This teacher helps they know how to correct it and avoid the same mistake .
Well , no pains ,no gains .Once parents are careful about helping the young to be independent ,they will make it . Due Attention Should Be Given to Spelling
Nowadays, students attach less importance to the spelling
of words in the process of English study. This phenomenon greatly influences students’ writing and brings on worries among teachers.
There are possibly three reasons contributing to this phenomenon. First, exam-oriented education makes the students pay less attention to spelling. Second, some teachers should also be responsible for it because they don’t emphasize the importance of spelling during teaching. Last but not least, some students are too lazy to recite words. Since spelling is one of the most important factors in English study, due attention should be given to it. As for me, I think, first, exams should be modified to add some factors into it, which would help student to pay more attention to spelling. Then, schools should also set effective mechanisms to help teachers as well as the students to realize the importance. Finally, for students themselves, they can, through other ways, make them be interested in word spelling. Only by these can we surly realize the importance of spelling and make improvement.
