1. 电子书E-book
现在人们习惯于使用智能手机、平板电脑或者专门的电子阅读器来阅读。电子书越来越为人们所接受。电子书史一种数字形式的书,它可以包含文字、图片或者两者兼有。从传统意义上讲,电子书纸质书的电子化,但其实许多电子书并没有纸质的对应物,电子书已成为一种新型书籍。电子书已数字形式存储,因此人们随时都可以阅读。
●Nowadays people are used to reading on smart phones, tablet PCs, or specialized
e-readers. E-book, a kind of book in digital form that may contain texts and images or both, is increasingly gaining ground. Traditionally, it refers to the electronic version of a printed book. However, many e-books actually do not have printed equivalents and have become a new kind of books. With e-books being stored digitally, people can read them at anytime.
2. 自驾游Self-driving
自驾游属于自助旅游的一种,是近年来我国新兴的旅游方式。自驾游在选择目的地、参与程序和体验自由等方面给旅游者提供了伸缩自如的空间,与传统的参团旅游相比具有本身的特点和魅力。随着自驾车旅游者的增多,自驾游市场已具规模,越来越多的旅行社、汽车俱乐部、汽车租赁公司看好并涉足这一市场的开发。
●Self-driving tour, a sort of self-help travel, is an emerging mode of travel in China in
recent years. It provides travelers with great flexibility in selecting destinations, participating procedures and experiencing freedom, which endow it with differentiating characteristics and charms from the traditional group tour. As the self-driving tourists increases, the self-driving tour market has begun to take shape; more and more travel agencies, car clubs and car rentals are optimistic about it and engage in market development.
3. 秋千Swing
秋千的起源可以追溯到上古时代。爬树或跨越溪流的工具就是秋千的雏形。从汉朝开始,荡秋千逐渐成为一种在清明节和其它一些节日进行的民间活动。秋千是一种游戏用具,而荡秋千是一种运动。荡秋千的人可以坐在或站在由一个架子的两条长绳子吊起来的,类似一块踏板之类的东西上来回摆动。荡秋千有很多形式,比如说单人荡、双人荡等。
●The origin of swing can be traced back to the antiquity. Those tools for climbing trees or
crossing streams are the embryonic forms of swing. Since the Han Dynasty, swinging has gradually become a folk activity performed on the Tomb-sweeping Day and some other festivals. Swing is a kind of game utensil while swinging is a sport. The player may sit or stand on something like a pedal which is hung by two long ropes on a frame and swing back and forth. Swinging can be categorized into many forms, such as the single swing, double swing and so on.
4. 茶马古道Tea-horse Ancient Road
茶马古道两边,生活着20多个少数民族。不同的地方有着各自美丽而神奇的自然风景和传统文化,比如:大理,丽江古城,香格里拉,雅鲁藏布江大峡谷和布达拉宫。古道的两旁有庙宇、岩石壁画、驿站,古桥和木板路,还有少数民族舞蹈和民族服装。时至今天,虽然这条古道的踪迹都消失了,但它的文化和历史价值仍然存在。
●Along the Tea-horse Ancient Road lived more than 20 minorities. Concentrations of
beautiful and mysterious natural landscapes and traditional cultures developed in various sites,including Dali old city, Lijiang old city, Shangrila, Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon, Potala Palace. The road features temples, rock paintings, post houses, ancient bridges and plank roads. It is also home to many national minorities and their dances and folk customs. Today, although the traces of the ancient road are fading away, its cultural and historic values remain.
5.方言Dialect
最近,一些地方大学开始将方言列为某些学生的必修课程,学生们要学习当地方言,然后被评分以作为毕业的依据之一。支持此种做法的人认为,将方言列为必修课可防止其消失,从而使当地传统文化和文化多样性得以弘扬,同时城市独特的个性得以保留。但是,将方言列为必修课程还会引起一些其他问题,如教材使用、师资问题和考试标准等。方言作为传统文化不可缺少的一部分和一种交流工具,可以让学生自愿学习和使用,而不是强制完成。
●Recently, it has been practiced by some local universities that dialect is made a
compulsory course for some students, under which students are subject to learning the local dialect and then graded as one of the judging factors for them to graduate. People approving the practice maintain that it will help to prevent the dialect from extinguishing so that the local traditional culture and the cultural diversity can be enhanced, and the unique urban identity can be preserved simultaneously. However, the inclusion of dialect in compulsory courses will bring forth other problems like teaching material, teachers and examination standards. Dialects, as an indispensable part of local traditional culture as well as a tool for communication, can be acquired and used voluntarily, not compulsorily.
6. 音乐Music
尽管音乐对每个人来说,都再熟悉不过了,但是几乎每个人对这门艺术都有自己的观点看法。什么音乐算是好的音乐,这是见仁见智的。各个音乐风格都有自己的经典音乐作品流行的并不完全等于经典的。一个好的音乐作品,是创作者和演奏者双方共同努力的结果,二者相辅相成,缺一不可。
●While music is familiar to virtually everyone it is an art, about which everyone has an
opinion. What defines “great” music is, very much, a personal issue. There is “great”
music in every style but what is popular does not always define the quality. Music is a joint effort between the creator and the performer and one cannot exist without the other.
