Film Review:Brave HeartThe movie named Brave Heart was first released on May 24, 1995 , in the United States. This movie is directed by the famous director Mel Gibson who was the starring actor in the film. The film starring were Mel Gibson, Sophie Marceau, Patrick McGoohan. This movie tells the story about a national hero--William Wallace and the national uprising under his leadership in the late 13th century. In the real history, by the end of March 1296, king Edward I rate army capture Scotland business town Berwick. At the end of April, the England troops in Dunbar annihilated Barry ORR’s forty thousand army. Barry ORR surrendered, as well as more than two thousand Scottish nobles were imprisoned. After that, Scotland was ruled by Edward I(called “Longshanks” in the film), so Scottish people started to fight for their national independence, they fight for their freedom.Director Mel Gibson is not filming history here. The film is not about the whole historical events, it’s adapted from history (1296-1305). The film mainly mentioned Stirling campaign and Falkirk campaign. In fact, Stirling battle occurs in September 11, 1297, the first battle in the film. On this day, the farmer soldiers with rotten equipment, bad training, extremely beat the arrogant royal army. But in Falkirk campaign, in July 22,1298, Edward I led the army personally, William Wallace’s forces was defeated like they in the film. In August 1305, William Wallace was arrested by an Anglomania Scottish nobles John. On August 23, Wallace was cruel executed outside in the iron field of London.William Wallace is the main character,a national hero in the film. When he was a child, his farther sacrificed in the battle of England. Then he grew up with his uncle, studying culture and martial arts. When he was grown up and came back to his hometown, he fell in love with a girl and they married secretly. His rural dream was broken when his wife were killed by England soldier. In order to revenge, he began fighting. More and more oppressed people attend his fighting. The only thing Wallace fights for is freedom, his revolution was set in motion, with great obstacles from his countrymen. Many Scottish nobles lent him only grudging support. His revolution is not smooth. Longshanks let his son married The French princess Isabella to relax the relationship with France. But in the film Longshanks sent Isabella to Wallace two times in order to beat Wallace, all the plots were found by Isabella and sent to Wallace. Tha nks for Isabella’s warning Wallace was alive. That because the princess admire his wisdom and courage and fell in love with him. But good luck is not always come with Wallace. After the Falkirk campaign, Wallace began to take hidden guerrilla tactics against the British. Then his noble Bruce’s father betrayed him. At the end of the film, the noble Robert Bruce led Wallace’s troops continue fighting against English, and won their freedom finally. Thestory present us the great cost of freedom.Generally speaking, Braveheart is a full throated, red-blooded battle epic about William Wallace, the legendary Scots warrior who led his nation into battle against the English in the years around 1300. It's an ambitious film, big on simple emotions like love, patriotism and treachery, and avoids the travelogue style of so many historical swashbucklers: Its locations look green, wet, vast, muddy and rugged. The top 1 thing I have to say is the film’s music. Several years ago I was deeply shocked by the great courage for a nation’s freedom, the same as I’m today. Every time I heard the music, the sad sound rising and falling, my eyes are always wet. It made me thinking about our people’s fighting history, heavy and sad.The film’s dialogue was also wonderful, made me think ing about life, love and freedom more deeply. Such as William Wallace:” Every man dies, not every man really lives.”“Your heart is free, have the courage to follow.” And the most beautiful dialogue of love in the world, William Wallace: Why did you help me? Princess Isabelle: Because of the way you are looking at me now.。

Perhaps Wallace is captured by England and sentence to death. After a series of torture, I am unable to continue watching. Gibson’s ‘Braveheart’ focuses on the human side of Wallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression...To make films of historical themes is difficult, It requires us not only reproduce the history, but also treat the history fairly and compress the complex and detailed history into a few hours on the screen, and lets the audience feel not boring .It is indeed difficult . But “Brave Heart” did it.Set in the late 13th century, ‘Braveheart’ is the story of one of Sco tland’s greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace, leader of the Scottish resistance forces during the first years of the long, ultimately successful struggle to free Scotland from English rule. The story itself is simple and clear and the theme is also clearly conveyed. While William Wallace ,distinguished as Braveheart ,is still a young boy,he witnesses theking`s betrayal and cruelty:all the scots carrying on peace negotiations are hanged , even their servants are not excluded.Young Wallace`s father and brother died in the battle against the English and his uncle took him to the European continent to receive schooling. When he returns to his hometown ,Wallace has grown up into a brave, handsome, and well--educated man.He marries his childhood sweetheart Murron in secret so that the local English lord won`t claim his right of “prima nota” and intends to live an idyllic life.He does not see the true face of Longshanks until he witnesses his wife killed by the English soilders. It makes his blood boil.He and his people raise the standard of revolt and struggle for freedom. He becomes the true leader and it proves that he is the very person—the raging tide of revolation surges forward, smashing all resistance and advances victoriously everywhere. But Robort 1`s betrayal results in Wallace`s fall to the English and the failure of the revolt.Consequently,Wallace was captured, tortured and executed as a traitor, but his dying cry”Freedom” stimulates his people and finally they win the day. It`s an ambitious pictures, big in simple emotions like love, patriotism an treachery, and it avoids th travelogue look of so many historical swashbucklers:its locations look green, wet, vast ,muddy an rugged.Just from a technical point of view,Brave Heart does a brilliant jo o assing me and horses fo large—scale warfare on film. And th battle scenes arfrequent, bloody, and violent.Gibson deploys what look like thousands of me o orseback,as we a oot soilders an archers, and ye his battle sequences don`t turn into confusing crowd scenes.Giboson, just like th hero Wallace in th film, marshals hi armies of extras, his stuntmen an special effects, and creates a fictional world that is entertaining an thrilling. The make-up in the film is also remarkable.Wallace`s golden yellow hair makes him look like a lion, full of power and energy. The actors` clothes are simple and crude, primitive as well, making the atmosphere feel real. When Wallace leads his men into battle , their faces were painted blue, like football fans, crazy and enthusiastic. As for films,it is monotonous to tell a story of war only,of course,Brave Heart avoid it successfully. Here we should mention another soul in the film, the princess, played by the French actress Sophie Marceau. The marriage between her and Edward`s son,the prince of Wales,is only for political reasons. She soon falls in love with Wallace and just “because of the way you look at me”.She becomes the second love in Wallace`s life. The two romance, together with those spectacular battle scenes, expertly directed by the magnetic star, help compensate for the film`s uneven script and overlength. It is sometimes seen as an egotistical gesture when actors direct themselves, especially in heroic epics costing $53 million. The truth is,given this material, few could have directed it better. And as BraveHeart,Gibson plays his role with flameboyance, and cuts it with sly humor. He is an amazing battlefield strategist, inventing new strategies and weapons, outsmarting the English at every turn, leading his men into battle with hope. There is a scene where he is so pumped up with the scent of battle that his nostrils flare;not many actors could get away with that ,but Gibson can .We will remember Wallace as a Scots Spartacus but wearing a kilt.A powerful passionate film about a powerful, passionate man! It’s a film that weaves a fascinating trail through the 14th century while delivering breathtaking battle scenes and some haunting plot lines . This is three hours’ worth of gripping drama, which spares nothing on either the visceral or the emotional front . Braveheart may have its critics , but there’s no denying this is an achievement.。
勇敢的心英文影评(推荐5篇)第一篇:勇敢的心英文影评勇敢的心影评Review of BraveheartThe film entitled Braveheart, which tells of the story of Sir William Wallace ,a Scotland’s hero in 13th century to protest against the cruel king of England, Edward I.Although the reason is seemingly a romantic revernge for his fiancée who was killed by an English landlord. The struggle was so fierce ,bloody and magnificent that any spectator can not come to himself or herself after seeing a series of campaigns that were shown in the movie and we are most touched by the desire for freedom of Sir William Wallace on the last scene of his execution ,in which William’s sky blue eyes were shone as bright as the sky ,a metaphor for the freedom which is hopeless but the determination was never abandoned in pursuit for it.However, one cannot stand the spiteful rebellion of the Scottish nobles and just imagine Wallace’s disbelief and shock when he got to know that the knight of Edward I,who is mostwilling to kill him in the battlefield,is the one who is most likelyto become the king of Scotland, the man who swore to stand alongside with Wallace from the majority of the Scotland’s aristocrats who suspected Wallace and kept looking down upon him.Wallace had presumed that he was his companion but the reality just showed the just opposite side of Wallce’s naïve dream and both the hero and the audience cannot bear this betrayal from the bottom of their heats. But Wallace still chose to believe,to tolerate and to take anadventure which led to his death and the end of this poetic struggle while meantime ,setting in motion another moreintensive campaigns by those who carried on Wallace’s dreamto realize the freedom of Scotland.Wallace’s death is like theringing of the bell in the darkness of midnight, announcing thatdawn should be cast upon the ones who never halt to pursue freedom sooner or later. The scene which showed Wallace’s calling for freedom, whilethe executor’s axe moving ,the clouds flo ating, the wicked king’s last breath and the judge’s disappointment out of expectation.“Every man dies, not every man reallylives.”Wallce’s last words echoed in the midst of the air, despitethe physical death and the passing of the decades of years. The real meaning of braveheart lies on that not only we do not dare to encounter the rivals and the unfair, but also the courage to tolerate,to resist the temptation to give up indespair ,to face the genuine aspect of ourselves.Trust, belief, struggle, determination, betrayal and of course ,the love epic ,are the images we can associate with this marvelous film and we cannot urge our passion to extol Wallace, our hatred for the wicked Edward I and those both mentally and physically delicate Scotland’s nobles.Given thefact that both these two nations are now sections of the UnitedKingdom,The film reminds us of the love for one’s ownmotherland thedesire for freedom, which is the gifted nature since mankind was born with and we shall never be scared of anyobstacles ,frustrations and sacrifices in our fight forfreedom ,the goal generations of all classes, eras and races have been longing for and we shall never be in shortage of thecourage to gain freedom.(534 更加年幼的Murron一直在关注着他,当众人都离开的时候,小女孩挣脱了母亲的手,从平静的土地上摘下了一朵紫色的蓟花送给小Wallace。
Review of BraveheartThe film entitled Braveheart, which tells of the story of Sir William Wallace ,a Scotland’s hero in 13th century to protest against the cruel king of England, Edward I.Although the reason is seemingly a romantic revernge for his fiancée who was killed by an English landlord. The struggle was so fierce ,bloody and magnificent that any spectator can not come to himself or herself after seeing a series of campaigns that were shown in the movie and we are most touched by the desire for freedom of Sir William Wallace on the last scene of his execution ,in which William’s sky blue eyes were shone as bright as the sky ,a metaphor for the freedom which is hopeless but the determination was never abandoned in pursuit for it.However, one cannot stand the spiteful rebellion of the Scottish nobles and just imagine Wallace’s disbelief and shock when he got to know that the knight of Edward I,who is most willing to kill him in the battlefield,is the one who is most likelyto become the king of Scotland, the man who swore to stand alongside with Wallace from the majority of the Scotland’s aristocrats who suspected Wallace and kept looking down upon him.Wallace had presumed that he was his companion but the reality just showed the just op posite side of Wallce’s naïve dream and both the hero and the audience cannot bear this betrayal from the bottom of their heats. But Wallace still chose to believe,to tolerate and to take an adventure which led to his death and the end of this poetic struggle while meantime ,setting in motion another more intensive campaigns by those who carried on Wallace’s dream to realize the freedom of Scotland.Wallace’s death is like the ringing of the bell in the darkness of midnight, announcing that dawn should be cast upon the ones who never halt to pursue freedom sooner or later. The scene which showed Wallace’s call ing for freedom, while the executor’s axe moving ,the clouds floating, the wicked king’s last breath and the judge’s disappointment out of expectation. “Every man dies, not every man really lives.”Wallce’s last words echoed in the midst of the air, despite the physical death and the passing of the decades of years. The real meaning of braveheart lies on that not only we donot dare to encounter the rivals and the unfair, but also the courage to tolerate,to resist the temptation to give up in despair ,to face the genuine aspect of ourselves .Trust, belief, struggle, determination, betrayal and of course ,the love epic ,are the images we can associate with this marvelous film and we cannot urge our passion to extol Wallace, our hatred for the wicked Edward I and those both mentally and physically delicate Scotland’s nobles.Given the fact that both these two nations are now sections of the United Kingdom,The film reminds us of the love for one’s own motherland the desire for freedom, which is the gifted nature since mankind was born with and we shall never be scared of any obstacles ,frustrations and sacrifices in our fight for freedom ,the goal generations of all classes, eras and races have been longing for and we shall never be in shortage of the courage to gain freedom.(534 words) October 29th.2010。
William Wallace, a hero of ScotlandHistorical background:There was a time when the local people in Scotland had to pay the taxes and the beautiful girl’s fist night to English ruler in return for ‘protection’. If the money and the fair lady were not paid promptly, the English gangsters would quickly destroy their home and possesses. One of the most excellent figures in Scotland history was William Wallace, who was born in 1272. When he was young, his father was dead in the war which against with the enemy and he was brought up by his uncle. During that period, William Wallace learned the skill of fight and strategy of the war which make an important role of the later days.......William Wallace unshakable faith touches my heart. Not all the people are stood up to noble, opponents or even die. I admire William Wallace for striving for freedom、his brave and cherishing his woman.Desire for freedomWhen William Wallace was child, his father and brother died for a fight .The word “free”first appeared in his mind through a dream that his father told him. (The concept of personal freedom was a concept not much celebrated in 1300)Your heart was free; you needed to have the courage to follow it. A history about hero was begun. William Wallace fought for Scotland’s freedom in the 13th century, as longshanks want to rule acountry of one that he arranged his son to marry the daughter of his rival, the king of France in order to control the political situation. Longshanks did also Grant nobles prima noctes, first night to draw more of his supporters to Scotland. Seeing their own woman robed by nobles, men could not tolerate these happened in Scotland. As more and more nobles came to Scotland, the local people suffered a lot from it. Wallace's dying cry, as his body was stretched on the rack, was "freedom!" The time had come. William Wallace killed the noble who infringed upon his beloved women. At that moment William Wallace clearly realized that only freedom was primary condition to live a normal life. I remembered a sentence William Wallace said: “I want children and a home and peace. I had asked god for these, but it is all for nothing if you don’t have freedom.” The power of words and strategies, William Wallace influenced suffer people. And more and more people took part in fighting for freedom. His unshakable resolution leaded him to a battle about freedom. His life’s purpose and personal mission statement was to pursue freedom.Brave made one fight against exploitersThrough the cruel wars, He is an amazing battlefield strategist. Facing a major challenge, he refused to be beguiled into surrender. William Wallace is not naturally brave, because fight to the bitter end for peace and freedom. I think his brave heart derive from his childhood when he saw that the nobles’army hurls rocks at each other for entertainment. Later, when a Scotsman has his wound numb, a saying came from his heart: “That’ll wake you up in the morning, boy!" Just when they thought all hope was lost, William Wallace still believed Scotland would be one and freedom was not so far from them that created his brave heart—Fight for freedom through wars. We can see his brave somewhere inthis film such as routed one of Longshanks’ garrisons and murdered his noble lord.; Fight with the thousands of opponents in a war between English and Scotland; invaded Longshanks’ northern army in Your; fought with Longshanks face to face; consulted with Robert the Bruce about united the nobles to built a country of their own, even knew that would be grey. He was not the one to support the noble’s rights in Scotland’s land, neither the Balliol, William Wallace’s hometown, but fought against exploiters and looked forward to peaceful life. Brave heart was one of the important reasons that aroused people to fight for freedom and peaceful life. I think it was the power that took William Wallace over the fear of death, the fuel that propelled him toward the life you envision.True love under the warEveryone had his own true love, so did William Wallace. He was crazy in pursuit of love. But it was a pity, because in the 13th the common survived as slaves and they had less right (or even had no right) to do what they want to do, slaved for nobles, died for nobles. Love between William Wallace and Murron moved me to tears. They loved each other. They had their own land. Their love was smashed by invaders’selfish desire. Poor Murron was the victim in the war, even she was not wrong, but history arranged her dead in the 13th when a fight for freedom just begun. Nowadays, the law has made to protect our right. Mel Gibson's "Braveheart" is a fullthroated, red-blooded battle epic about William Wallace, the legendary Scots warrior who led his nation into battle against the English in the years around 1300. It's an ambitious film, big on simple emotions like love, patriotism and treachery, and avoids the travelogue style of so many historical swashbucklers: Its locations look green, wet, vast, muddy and rugged. Not much is known about Wallace, known as Braveheart, except that according to an old epic poem, he unified the clans of Scotland and won famous battles against the English before being captured, tortured and executed as a traitor.Wallace's dying cry, as his body was stretched on the rack, was "freedom!" That isn't exactly based on fact (the concept of personal freedom was a concept not much celebrated in 1300), but it doesn't stop Gibson from making it his dying cry. It fits in with the whole glorious sweep of "Braveheart," which is an action epic with the spirit of the Hollywood swordplay classics and the grungy ferocity of "The Road Warrior." What people are going to remember from the film are the battle scenes, which are frequent, bloody and violent. Just from a technical point of view, "Braveheart" does a brilliant job of massing men and horses for large-scale warfare on film. Gibson deploys what look like thousands of men on horseback, as well as foot soldiers, archers and dirty tricks specialists, and yet his battle sequences don't turn into confusing crowd scenes: We understand the strategy, and we enjoy the tactics even while we're doubting some of them (did 14th century Scots really set battlefields aflame?).Gibson is not filming history here, but myth. William Wallace may have been a real person, but "Braveheart" owes more to Prince Valiant, Rob Roy and Mad Max. Once we understand that this is not a solemn historical reconstruction (and that happens pretty fast), we accept dialogue that might otherwise have an uncannily modern tone, as when Braveheart issues his victory ultimatum to the English: "Scotland's terms are that your commander present himself in front of our army, put his head between his legs and kiss his - - -." Uh, huh.In the film, Wallace's chief antagonist is King Edward I ("Longshanks"), played by Patrick McGoohan with sly cunning; he is constantly giving his realpolitik interpretation of events, and that's all the more amusing since he's usually guessing wrong.Edward's son, the Prince of Wales (Peter Hanly), is an effete fop who marries a French woman only for political reasons. "I may have to conceive the child myself!" Longshanks says, and indeed, under the medieval concept of prima nocte, or "first night," nobles were allowed a first chance to sleep with the wives of their lessers. The Princess, played by the French actress Sophie Marceau, does not much admire her husband, who spends most of his time hanging about moon-eyed with his best friend (until the king, in a fit of impatience, hurls the friend out the castle window).Edward, smarting from defeats, dispatches the Princess to offer his terms to Braveheart, but soon she's spilling all the state secrets, "because of the way you look at me." The Princess is the second love in Wallace's life; the first, his childhood sweetheart Murron (Catherine McCormack), marries him in secret (so the local English lord won't claim his rights). The two spend their wedding night outdoors, and the backlit shot as they embrace gains something, I think, from the frost on their breaths. These characters come from hardened stock. (When Wallace has a reunion with his childhood palHamish, they hurl rocks at each other for entertainment; later, when a Scotsman has his wound cauterized, all he says is, "That'll wake you up in the morning, boy!") It is sometimes seen as an egotistical gesture when actors direct themselves, especially in heroic epics costing (so they say) $53 million. The truth is, given this material, I do not know that anyone could have directed it better. Gibson marshals his armies of extras, his stunt men and his special effects, and creates a fictional world that is entertaining, and thrilling. And as Braveheart, Gibson plays his role with flamboyance, and cuts it with sly humor. He is an amazing battlefield strategist, inventing new strategies and weapons, outsmarting the English at every turn, leading his men into battle with his face painted blue, like a football fan. There is a scene where he is so pumped up with the scent of battle that his nostrils flare; not many actors could get away with that, but Gibson can.。

勇敢的心观后感英文版50字Braveheart: A ReflectionMel Gibson's historical drama film, Braveheart, is an awe-inspiring tale of valor, courage, and resilience. Set in medieval Scotland, the movie follows the story of William Wallace, a commoner turned hero, who leads a rebellion against the oppressive English rule. Released in 1995, Braveheart received critical acclaim for its breathtaking cinematography, powerful storytelling, and memorable characters. Despite being a film set in a specific historical context, Braveheart conveys timeless themes that resonate with audiences of all ages. One of the most prominent themes explored in Braveheart is the indomitable spirit of human resilience. Through its protagonist, William Wallace, the film showcases the unwavering determination of an individual to fight for freedom and justice. Wallace's unwavering commitment to his cause, despite facing numerous hardships and betrayals, serves as a poignant reminder of the strength of the human spirit. The film also delves into the complexities of love and sacrifice. Wallace's romance with Murron MacClannough highlights the power of love to inspire and drive individuals to confront extraordinary challenges. His love for her becomes the catalyst for his rebellion against the English rulers, and the intensity of his feelings is palpable in every scene. Moreover, the sacrifices made by Wallace and his comrades-in-arms in the pursuit of freedom serve as a testament to the selflessness that love can evoke in individuals.Braveheart also provides a compelling examination of the dynamics of power and oppression. The character of King Edward I, also known as Longshanks, symbolizes tyranny, cruelty, and the abuse of power. His ruthless governance stokes the flames of rebellion and galvanizes Wallace and his followers to stand up against injustice. The film makes a powerful statement about the consequences of unchecked power and serves as a reminder of the importance of fighting for equality and human rights. One of the most remarkable aspects of Braveheart is its visual presentation. The film's stunning depiction of the Scottish landscape, combined with its grand battle sequences, creates a cinematic experience that is both breathtaking and visceral. The iconic scene of Wallace rallying his troops before the Battle of Stirling Bridge, with his face painted blue, has become an enduring image of bravery and defiance. The performances in Braveheart also contribute to its lasting impact. Mel Gibson's portrayal of William Wallace is a tour de force, capturing both the character's fierce warrior spirit and vulnerable humanity. The supporting cast, including Patrick McGoohan as King Edward I and Sophie Marceau as Princess Isabella, deliver nuanced performances that add depth to the film's narrative. However, it is worth noting that Braveheart has drawn criticism for its historical inaccuracies. The film takes several liberties with the facts surrounding William Wallace's life and the events of the Scottish Wars of Independence. While artistic license is common in historical films, some viewers found the deviations from the historical record to be distracting.Nevertheless, Braveheart's value lies not in its historical accuracy, but in its ability to inspire and provoke thought. In conclusion, Braveheart is an extraordinary film that continues to captivate audiences with its timeless themes and powerful storytelling. Through its exploration of the human spirit, love and sacrifice, and the dynamics of power, the film resonates with viewers on a profound level. Its visual grandeur, compelling performances, and enduring impact make Braveheart a cinematic masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression.。

Gibsons Braveheart focuses on the human side of Wallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression...To make films of historical themes is difficult, It requires us not only reproduce the history, but also treat the history fairly and compress the complex and detailed history into a few hours on the screen, and lets the audience feel not boring .It is indeed difficult . But "Brave Heart" did it.Set in the late 13th century, Braveheart is the story of one of Scotlands greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace, leader of the Scottish resistance forces during the first years of the long, ultimately successful struggle to free Scotland from English rule. The story itself is simple and clear and the theme is also clearly conveyed. While William Wallace ,distinguished as Braveheart ,is still a young boy,he witnesses the king`s betrayal and cruelty:all the scots carrying on peace negotiations are hanged , even their servants are not excluded.Young Wallace`s father and brother died in the battle against the English and his uncle took him to the European continent to receive schooling. It`s an ambitious pictures, big in simple emotions like love, patriotism an treachery, and it avoids th travelogue look of so many historical swashbucklers:its locations look green, wet, vast ,muddy an rugged.Just from a technical point ofview,Brave Heart does a brilliant jo o assing me and horses fo large—scale warfare on film. And th battle scenes ar frequent, bloody, and violent.Gibson deploys what look like thousands of me o orseback,as we a oot soilders an archers, and ye his battle sequences don`t turn into confusing crowd scenes.Giboson, just like th hero Wallace in th film, marshals hi armies of extras, his stuntmen an special effects, and creates a fictional world that is entertaining an thrilling. She soon falls in love with Wallace and just “because of the way you look at me”.She becomes the second love in Wallace`s life(the first is murron). And as Brave Heart,Gibson plays his role with flameboyance, and cuts it with sly humor. He is an amazing battlefield strategist, inventing new strategies andweapons, outsmarting the English at every turn, leading his men into battle with hope. There is a scene where he is so pumped up with the scent of battle that his nostrils flare;not many actors could get away with that ,but Gibson can .We will remember Wallace as a Scots Spartacus but wearing a kilt.A powerful passionate film about a powerful, passionate man!Its a film that weaves a fascinating trail through the 14th century while delivering breathtaking battle scenes and some haunting plot lines . This is three hours worth of gripping drama, which spares nothing on either the visceral or the emotional front (the ending, in which Wallace finally gets his come-uppance, is genuine lump-in-the-throat stuff). Braveheart may have its critics (and its biggest fans are nationalists), but theres no denying this is an achievement.。
勇敢的心影评英文导语:勇敢的心影评英文There was a time when the local people in Scotland had to pay the taxes and the beautiful girl’s fist night to English ruler in return for ‘protection’. During that period, William Wallace learned the skill of fight and strategy of the war which make an important role of the later days.William Wallace unshakable faith touches my heart. Not all the people are stood up to noble, opponents or even die. I admire William Wallace for striving for freedom、his brave and cherishing his woman.Desire for freedomWhen William Wallace was child, his father and brother died for a fight .The word “free” first appeared in his mind through a dream that his father told him. (The concept of personal freedom was a concept not much celebrated in 1300)Your heart was free; you needed to have the courage to follow it. A history about hero was begun. William Wallace fought for Scotland’s freedom in the 13th century, as longshanks want to rule a country of one that he arranged his son to marry the daughter of his rival, the king of France in order to control the political situation. As his saying: Wars could take our lives, but they would never take our freedom. I think his brave heart derive from his childhood when he saw that the nobles’army hurls rocks at each other forentertainment. We can see his brave somewhere in this film such as routed one of Longshanks’ garrisons and murdered his noble lord.; Fight with the thousands of opponents in a war between English and Scotland; invaded Longshanks’ northern army in Your; fought with Longshanks face to face; consulted with Robert the Bruce about united the nobles to built a country of their own, even knew that would be grey. Theyhad their own land. Their love was smashed by invaders’ selfish desire. Poor Murron was the victim in the war, even she was not wrong, but history arranged her dead in the 13th when a fight for freedom just begun. Nowadays, the law has made to protect our right. We can hold fast to our ideal, such as life、job、love or other else. When I see Historical films about love, I always sigh for the sad ending, which the main actor and the main actress separate, not because the ending of love, but for the history. Thanks for William Wallace; I deeply make sense of the love between people included kinship、friendship and affection. In the long history, people fought for freedom、rights and land all the time. Today we are free, but how many people dare to pursue his love or ideal, and how many people see his relatives、friends or the one he deep in love getting on a train and going away. I think we should take measures to defend our true feeling and follow it. The love between William Wallace and Murron was wonderful because they had strived for each other.William Wallace, a hero of Scotland, was excellent in Scotland history. His brave heart、unshakable faith about fighting for freedom and love have never influencing the young generation less. His heart will go on.。

勇敢的心电影观后感英文版篇1this movie is a very touching love story. William lost beloved woman, it means losing the only love of life, suddenly of heart desperate for power, revenge for the loss of love, so he killed the Scottish soldiers and chieftains. I understand it as a fight for the love of battle. This is actually a blasting fuse, the real highlight of the Scottish people with the pursuit of freedom in Williams leadership, the struggle against the King of England. So we can say that the light of freedom is the most eye-catching thing. However, human nature once again deceived William, when he was betrayed noble chieftains sent after the trial units in England, when William learned that his dream of freedom can be completed, and only mind eagerly looking forward to it! At the time, as long as he can head down to England, he confessed to treason and asked for mercy, he can get the most enjoyment of relief, replacing many of the lingering death of torture. But William the final calls out from the throat or the "free" word. This is his deep, strong cry, he would rather lose his body could not betray his heart! England at this time the public was moved by whom, and they seem to see a real hero! William has a brave heart!William”s life was strangled and decapitated! When the ax head down towards him the moment he saw his wife the formerFounder directed at his smile, seemed to admire his courage, love and freedom, while William seems to have been! Brave heart, after all, is the brave! He uses his own blood stirred up the Scottish people longing for freedom!Sudden death, left to the people is a constant moving! Able to adhere to the death of their convictions, this is a heroic bosom. Free about life, William has become a finished, for this faith, have nothing to fear death?Today, we are in a period of relative peace; the meaning of freedom seems to transform our way of interpreting it. So, what belief is it that touches the bottom of our souls? What does William”s spirit mean? Have a belief, this belief should work hard to our spiritual life is a driving force upward, right? Otherwise, our souls will be slack, will be illusory, in that sense, we have one of their own faiths, although not great and noble William, but enough to sustain our lives! It is the innocent and romantic memory of first love full of fragrance of purple thistle that invokes William Wallace in returning homeland. The purple thistle that Murron gives William Wallace at his father”s burial symbolizes the immortal love. Under the horrible shade of cruel oppression of England they struggle for their perfect love courageously. Unfortunately, Murron is seized and killed ruthlessly by an English official so that William Wallace”s heart is stricken by great grief and pain. The moment he kills the wicked official to take his revenge he realizes the essential responsibility placed on his shoulders. He changes his individual anguish into enormous power of national spirit so as to devote himself to the innumerable and arduous combats for the great freedom of Scotland.?During war, maybe the most fatal threat is not the formidable weapons but the confused and evil hearts. TheScottish aristocrats yield to England and betray William Wallace twice. It is in the second time William Wallace is arrested and killed inhumanly.勇敢的心电影观后感英文版篇2Fighting? Whats fighting?!What for? The amount of courage and bravery was inconceivable.I do respect for those heroess courage very much. However, I was shocked by their unjustice death. They did not deserve so miserable a way of dying!! I hate Roberts father. The old man is really rascal! He broke his sons promise to William not only once, and its he who brought William to death! Fortunately, the young leader,Robert the Bruce, was able to lead the fight for the scots freedom at last. Thanks for his bravery and justice. In addition,I respect the courage of other captains as well, such as Hamish. They fight for their sire, their grate William Wallace, the macaulish!Furthermore, when Iooked deep into their eyes, it remind meof the fight between Naruto and carra.I was surprised to find the same meaning in the eyes of these brave fighters! I admire them!I am so aflame in my heart after watching the movie that I hardly calm down, let alone to go to sleep.Brave Heart,as valiant as heroes! I will treasure the precious movies up.勇敢的.心电影观后感英文版篇3Set in the late 13th century, Braveheart is the story of one of Scotlands greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace. leader of the Scottish resistance forces during the first years of the long, ultimately successful struggle to free Scotland from English rule.Crucially charismatic in the title role, Gibson plays the heroic figure and emerges as a remarkable hero with wit and romantic soul, determined to rid his country of its English oppressors.Wallaces revolution was set in motion, with great obstacles from his countrymen. Many Scottish nobles lent him only grudging support as most of them were more concerned with wealth and titles than the freedom of the country. In fact, the Scottish leaders are in favor of revolt-or not-depending on English bribes. Wallace, by comparison, is a man of honor, incorruptible and righteous. He was knighted and proclaimed guardian and high protector of Scotland, but as much as he railed against the Scottish nobles, submitted to Edward I, King of England, he was astonished and in shock to discover the treachery of the leading Scot contender for the throne—Robert, the Earl of Bruce—to whom he confided , The people would follow you, if you would only lead them. Sophie Marceau is exquisite as the distressed princess Isabella of France who ends up falling in love with Wallace, warning him out of several traps.Catherine McCormack is a stunning beauty who ignitesWallaces revolution.Patrick McGoohan is chilling, brutal, and vicious as the ruthless Edward I, known by the nickname Longshanks. This king remains simply the embodiment of evil. While Angus McFadyen moves as a nobleman torn between his conscience and political aspiration, and Brendan Gleeson brings strength and humor to his role as the robust Hamish, David OHara is very effective as the crazy Irishman who provides much of the films comic relief from even the most tensed moments.Mel Gibson has reason to be proud of Braveheart. It is a motion picture that dares to be excessive. Gibson presents passionately the most spaciously impressive battles (yet staged for films) even excessively, and it is his passion and excess that make the motion picture great. The horror and futility of massed hand-to-hand combats are exciting rather repulsive. It is epic film-making at its glorious best.Gibsons Braveheart focuses on the human side of Wallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression. 勇敢的心电影观后感英文版篇4This should be my second time to watch this film. I watched it once before in high school. In my opinion, it should be a very meaningful film and an excellent film. Although it was shot very early, it is not inferior to many films now. After watching it, I think it organically combines the two eternal themes of love and war, It highlights the greatness of love, freedom and the cruelty of war. The protagonist's last "freedom" shouted cheerfully. The departure of heroes and the sorrow and resentment of bagpipes.Inspire the Scottish people's uprising and encourage us to live bravely in life.In my opinion, this film is not only a war film, but also a historical song praising human national integrity. It is an epic creation that can be thought of by everyone. The film is set in the British national liberation war. It tells the story of Scottish national hero William, who was involved in the war against the English colonists in order to avenge his beloved wife. The last out of control, Waller led the people who loved freedom to fight for the release of slavery in England. Finally, the son of the hero, William Waller, saved the pattern of the war at his own expense, The Scottish people were free and finally liberated forever. In William. When Wallace was a child, his father, Scottish hero Marceau. Wallace died in the struggle with the British army. When he was young, he studied culture and martial arts under the guidance of his father's friends. In order to consolidate the royal rule of Scotland and allow the Royal maiden to marry like an arrow in the dark night. Princess Isabella is a decisive talent. She knows that this law will make the British nobles interested in Scotland, but it will arouse the resistance of the Scottish people. The young Wallace returned to his hometown after studying and proposed to the beautiful girl Mellon. He was willing to be a person who kept his own place. However, Meilun was unreasonably robbed by the British army and killed. National hatred finally broke out in Wallace. He broke into the British Army station alone and killed many British troops. When the villagers shouted "after the hero", they rose up and killed the British soldiers to declare an uprising. Rob, a Scottish nobleman, wanted to become the Lord of Scotland. Under the instigation of his father booth, he pretended to alliance withWallace. Wallace defeated the British troops who came to attack. The Scottish aristocratic parliament made him a knight and appointed him the patron saint of Scotland. Wallace found that these Scottish nobles were considering. We are only concerned about our own interests and do not worry about the future of the people and the country at all. In order to ease the situation, Edward sent Isabella to the peace talks. However, because the British king did not consider the freedom and equality of the people at all and only wanted to buy Wallace as a condition, the peace talks failed. When Isabella returned, she found that the peace talks were a cover. The king of England joined the Irish army and the French army to surround Wallace's Scottish army. She quickly sent a letter to Wallace. Under the pressure of the army, the nobles were in a panic. Wallace led the troops to fight. In a scuffle, he accidentally found that rob was in collusion with the king of England, so he couldn't help being hit. In order to ease the situation, King Edward sent his daughter-in-law Isabella to the peace talks, but Isabella was overwhelmed by Wallace's pride and came to the station to pour out her true feelings to him. They were intoxicated with the happiness of love. The British king once again proposed peace talks. Wallace knew it was a trap, but for the sake of peace, he still promised to go. The plot took him to the king of Edinburgh and caught him in Edinburgh. Rob was furious at his father's trick and Wallace was finally sentenced to death. Isabella failed to plead. Before the king died, she told the king that she was not pregnant with the prince's blood, and the child would soon become the new king. Wallace shocked everyone by shouting "freedom" before his execution. Wallace has not only represented a person, but a spirit and a belief, which has been transformed into a strong belief in fighting for freedom. From then on, the whole Scots united to fight for freedom and finally won. Everyone has a brave heart and firm faith. A person's long death has awakened the people's firm faith and overcome all difficulties with a brave heart. Then his departure will become eternal and a stronger and stronger driving force for you and me.A few weeks later, when he was canonized, rob shouted the slogan of revenge for Wallace and bravely inherited Wallace's will against the British army.I think Wallace is a real hero. The Scots fought a bloody battle to defend their dignity and glory. If human beings have no freedom, everything will disappear. The material world such as money and interests and the spiritual civilization such as culture and exchange must be under the premise of freedom. And mutual respect and understanding between people. Freedom is a noble ideal, a beautiful and unspeakable belief. Freedom is Wallace and the ideal of the Scottish people. They are fighting for freedom. Although Wallace died, he left freedom to the brave Scottish people. Since then, their only faith is freedom.Wallace was brave. Even when he knew his father's death when he was young, he would pick up the sword to hint his inner anger. His uncle took the sword away. He said to Wallace, "I will teach you to use your brain first, and then teach you to use the sword". A hero should not only have courage, but also wisdom. Wallace's courage inherited from his father is the rudiment of his life. However, only those who have courage are thin. His uncle took him away from his hometown, traveled the world and filled him with wisdom. It is with both courage and wisdom that Wallace can be loyal to his longing for freedom and lead the Scots to light. It can be said that this film tells a process of fading from aboy to a man. It is hard and full of blood and tears. It can be released only before great grief.勇敢的心电影观后感英文版篇5"Brave heart" won five awards including the 68th Oscar for best film and best director. It's really moving. I've seen it three times. The distant and long Scottish bagpipes, the endless green grass, the magnificent battle scenes, and the most beautiful love story. But what touches my soul most is the theme of the film - about courage. What is courage? It comes from facing difficulties, taking wisdom and perseverance as the weapon to fight, and then sublimating the original narrow personal pursuit into fighting for the interests of people who have common experiences. In this way, even if it comes from selfishness, it can be accepted by others, get help from others, and finally awaken our courage to sleep. Originally, Wallace just wanted to go home to get a wife and have children and live an ordinary and stable life, but he was eventually forced to pursue freedom. His sleeping soul woke up, which also awakened the once wavering noble Robert, gave up the coronation of England, pulled out his sword, led the plain army of Scotland, and roared to the British army. The film tells us from various angles that courage is not to show off for a while, but to use their own wisdom to overcome the difficulties they face. Wallace's uncle is undoubtedly a wise man. He understands the purpose and significance of struggle better than his dead brother. He asked Wallace to learn Latin and warned Wallace that before learning to use weapons, he must first learn to use his brain. More importantly, understanding the truth of God through Latin can give people freedom. YoungWallace can not fully understand these. He is still immersed in nostalgia for his hometown and the sadness of losing relatives. In the dream, his father said to him, "the heart can't be imprisoned. Take the courage to pursue!" This is Wallace's earliest Enlightenment on the meaning of life. The most courageous episode in the film should be the scene of the executioner executing Wallace. Wallace was imprisoned in a carriage and passed through the crowd. How can pingming, who drifts with the tide, understand Wallace's noble pursuit of freedom? Wallace was immersed in splashing saliva and vicious curses, but he was calm. He was hanged on the scaffold and put down on the eve of his breath. Facing the Royal badge on the chief criminal officer's robe, he got up and remained silent. This is a commitment to faith and freedom. Wallace didn't give in until he was pulled out of joint on the gallows and dissected on the death bed, even with a begging groan. The noisy crowd was infected by his perseverance until silence. Finally, a plain woman couldn't help calling the exit for him: "mercy!" Sound affects everyone's perception. The voice of "mercy" diffused in the crowd. The chief criminal officer kept egging, and Wallace's lips were moving slightly. He thought Wallace would say the word that would allow him to retain a bit of the Vanquisher's vanity and dignity. In the suffocating wait of everyone, Wallace shouted with all his strength: "freedom!" Freedom!Heroes are not omnipotent gods, but heroes must be fearless warriors. When we face difficulties, do we think of Wallace? We were moved to tears when he called for freedom. At the same time, we should also speak quietly to Mel?; Gibson's tribute is that he reappears our heroes on the screen and makes us understand the quality that a real hero should have - to facebravely.。

勇敢的心英语观后感篇一The film entitled Braveheart, which tells of the story of Sir William Wallace ,a Scotland’s hero in 13th century to protest against the cruel king of England, Edward I.Although the reason is seemingly a romantic revernge for his fiancée who was killed by an English landlord. The struggle was so fierce ,bloody and magnificent that any spectator can not come to himself or herself after seeing a series of campaigns that were shown in the movie and we are most touched by the desire for freedom of Sir William Wallace on the last scene of his execution ,in which William’s sky blue eyes were shone as bright as the sky ,a metaphor for the freedom which is hopeless but the determination was never abandoned in pursuit for it.However, one cannot stand the spiteful rebellion of the Scotti sh nobles and just imagine Wallace’s disbelief and shock when he got to know that the knight of Edward I,who is most willing to kill him in the battlefield,is the one who is most likely to become the king of Scotland, the man who swore to stand alongside wi th Wallace from the majority of the Scotland’s aristocrats who suspected Wallace and kept looking down upon him.Wallace had presumed that he was his companion but the reality just showed the just opposite side of Wallce’s naïve dream and both the hero and the audience cannot bear thisbetrayal from the bottom of their heats. But Wallace still chose to believe,to tolerate and to take an adventure which led to his death and the end of this poetic struggle while meantime ,setting in motion another more intensi ve campaigns by those who carried on Wallace’s dream to realize the freedom of Scotland.Wallace’s death is like the ringing of the bell in the darkness of midnight, announcing that dawn should be cast upon the ones who never halt to pursue freedom sooner or later. The scene which showed Wallace’s calling for freedom, while the executor’s axe moving ,the clouds floating, the wicked king’s last breath and the judge’s disappointment out of expectation. “Every man dies, not every man really lives.”Wallce’s last wo rds echoed in the midst of the air, despite the physical death and the passing of the decades of years.he real meaning of braveheart lies on that not only we do not dare to encounter the rivals and the unfair, but also the courage to tolerate,to resist the temptation to give up in despair ,to face the genuine aspect of ourselves .Trust, belief, struggle, determination, betrayal and of course ,the love epic ,are the images we can associate with this marvelous film and we cannot urge our passion to extol Wallace, our hatred for the wicked Edward I and those both mentally and physically delicate Scotland’s nobles.Given the fact that both these two nations are now sections of the United Kingdom。
The film review of Brave HeartAbstract:The actor William Wallace was born in Scotland in1276.He lived with his uncle in a strange land after his father was died.In the end of13th,Wallace came back to his hometown and met his childhood sweetheart Murron and got married with her. After his wife was killed by the English Wallace make up his mind to raise the standard of revolt, he is a true person to be the leader. The princess became the second love in Wallace’s life. But Wallace died a heroic death at last.Although the film is a little bloody and cruelty, the miserable love story of it is engaging. Keywords:battle;against;freedom;passionateBody:The most unforgettable of Brave Heart is the battle scenes, which are frequent, blood and violence.Mel Gibson made it full-throated,red-blooded battle epic about a legendary Scots warrior who led his nation into battle against the English in the year around1300.Gibson is not filming history here but myth.William Wallace may have been areal person, but remains a small-type-printed annotation in most historical reference books.Brave Heart owes a lot to its playwright Randall Wallace who puts into the work, not only talent but also passion. He insists that William Wallace play a more important part than that which is recorded in documents.Brave Heart owes more to Mel Gibson who, inspired by both Wallace, adds his own contemporarily-celebrated concept of personal freedom to the13th-century legend by creating William Wallace’s dying cry“Freedom”as his body is stretched on the rack. That isn’t exactly based on fact, but it doesn’t stop Gibson from making his dying cry,and it fits in with the whole glorious sweep of Brave Heart, which is an action epic in the spirit of a Hollywood swordplay classic.Once we understand that this is not a serious historical reconstruction,we accept andappreciate Brave Heart with no need of knowing the ancient history of Britain. The story itself is simple and clear and the theme is also clearly conveyed. In the film,Wallace’s chief antagonist is King Edward, who is really a tyrant, putting to death all who opposes him. While still a young boy,Wallace witnesses the King’s betrayal and cruelty:all the Scots carrying on peace negotiations are hanged, even their servants are not excluded. Young Wallace’s father and brother died in the battle against the English and his uncle took him to the European Continent to receive schooling. When he returns to the hometown,Wallace has grown up into a brave, handsome and well-educated young man.Wallace joined his fellow townsmen to celebrate a new couple’s wedding, where he has a reunion with his childhood pal Hamish;they hurl rocks at each other for entertainment, and the tow become friends and comrade in arms in the later battle. Most of all,he meets his childhood sweetheart Murron, and marries her in secret so the local English won’t claim his right of“prima notta”.Indeed, under the medieval concept of “prima notta”or“first night”,nobles were allowed the first chance to sleep with the wives of their lesser.Scotsmen, make up their main to fight for their independence from the English. They need a true leader,Wallace, the son of a hero, brave and wise,is a true person. But he only wants to be a comment farmer,to lead his own life.He doesn’t see the true face of Longshanks until he witnesses his wife humiliated and killed by English soldiers. It makes his blood boil. Now I want to mention another soul in the film, the princess, played by the French actress Sophie Marceau. The marriage between her and Edward’s son,the Prince of Wales,is only for political reasons. She does not much admire her husband,an effete fop who spends most of his time hanging about moon–eyed with his best friend.Edward I, smarting from defeat, dispatches the princess to offer his terms to Wallace. If Wallace hasher killed or taken hostage, the French king will be angered and back up the English;if Wallace lets her return, with or without an agreement to negotiate,Edward I has already gained time to assemble troops to put down Wallace’s rebellion. But it’s impossible for everything to turn out as he wishes. The princess is soon spilling all the state secrets to Wallace,“because of the way you look at me.”She becomes the second love in Wallace’s life. The tow romances, together with those spectacular battle scenes, expertly directed by the magnetic star, help compensate for the film’s uneven script and over length. It is sometimes seen as an egotistical gesture when actors direct themselves, especially in heroic epics costing$53million.The truth is,given this material, few could have directed it better. And as Brave Heart,Gibson plays his role with flamboyance, and cut it with sly humor. He is an amazing battlefield strategist, inventing new strategies and weapons, outsmarting the English at every turn, leading his men into battle with his face painted blue, like a football fan. There is a scene where he is so pumped up with the scent of the battle that his nostrils flare;not many actors could get away with that, but Gibson can.We will remember Wallace as a Scots Spartacus but wearing a kilt.A powerful, passionate film about a powerful, passionate man!。
