Whether we’ve been stolen from, lied to , misled, or cheated on, there are different levels of losing trust. Sometimes people simply can’t trust anymore, 37. It’s understandable, but if you’re willing to build trust in a relationship again, we have some steps you can take to get you there.●38 Having confidence in yourself will help you make better choices because you can see what the best outcome would be for your well-being.●39 If you’ve been betrayed, you are the victim of your circumstance. But there’s a difference between being a victim and living with a “victim mentality”. At some point in all of our lives, we’ll have our trust tested or violated. You didn’t lose “everything”. Once trust is lost, what is left? Instead of looking at the situation from this hopeless angle, look at everything you still have and be thankful for all of the good in your life. 40 Instead, it’s a healthy way to work through the experience to allow room for positive growth and forgiveness.A.
21. Volunteering gives you a chance lives, including your own.A. changeB. changingC. changedD. to change 答案是D29. When we saw the road with snow, we decided to spend the holiday at home.A. blockB. to blockC. blockingD. blocked 答案是D其次,时态语态方面今年着重于学生对重点时间标志或暗示的信息的基本把握,如23题中出现的over the past years, 以及28题中出现的Hurry up关键提示词。

divided the emotions into six types —anger, fear, sadness, disgust, surprise and enjoyment.More complex expressions of emotion were probablylearned and therefore more specific to each culture. But now it is believed that many morefacial expressions are shared worldwide. 72 The Mind Reading DVD is a systematicvisual record of these expressions. The project was designed by a Cambridge professor. His research team first hadtodefine an "emotion" . 73 Using this definition, 412 emotion terms were identified anddiscussed, from "afraid" to "wanting".Then each expression is acted out by six different actors."It was really clear when the actorshad got it right," says Cathy Collis, who directed the DVD."Although they were given somedirection, the actors were not told which facial muscles they should move.74 "Someone who has tried to set such rules is the American, Professor Paul Ekman, whobuilt database of how the face moves for every emotion. The face can make 43 distinct musclemovements.Ekman has also found that it may not be possible for people to reproduce themartificially. The most difficult expression to reproduce is the smile. It isn't only aboutstretching the lips, but tightening the At the time they are made, they may seem innocent enough. 71 They have been knownto influence behavior in such a way as to lead to violence. Volumes have been written about the way words affect us.It has been shown that words having certain connotations (含义) may cause us to react in ways quite foreign to what we considerto be our usual humanistic behavior. I see the term “opponent” as one of those words. 72The dictionary meaning of “opponent ” is “enemy” or “one who opposes your interests. ” Thus, when a player meets an opponent, he or she may tend to treat that opponent as an enemy. At such times, winning may control one’s brains. 73I recall an incident in a handball game when a referee refused a player’s request for a time out for a glove change because he did not consider them wet enough. The player started to rub his gloves across his wet T-shirt and then shouted. “Are they wet enough now”In the heat of battle, players have been observed to throw themselves across the court without considering the consequences that such a move might have on anyonein their way. I have also witnessed a player hitting his opponent with the ballas hard as he could during the course of play. Off the court, they are good friends.74 It certainly gives proof of a court attitude which differs from normal behavior. Therefore, I believe it is time we elevated (提升) the game to a higher level. Replacing the term “opponent” with “associate” could be an ideal way to start. The dictionary meaning of the term “associate” is “colleague”; “friend”;“companion. ” 75 You may soon see and possibly feel the difference in your reaction to the term “associate” rather than “opponent. ”A. Reflect a moment!B. Does that make any senseC. But let’s not kid ourselves.D. Such rude comments express one’s strong desire to win.E. Perhaps the time has come to delete it from sports terms.F. Players sometimes turn to violence hoping to injured opponents.G. And every action, no matter how rude, may be considered acceptable. The word "diary" comes from the Latin word "diarium" , which means "daily allowance".71 And it is used for business notes, planning activities, keeping track of scheduled appointments, or documenting what has already happened. Some doctors suggest that writing in a diary is a good form of self-study.In America, from the 1940s through the 1980s, a diary was thought of mostly as a way to privately express one's deepest thoughts while keeping notations about the day. 72 Many times, movies would show a teenage girl beginning to write in her diary while she said aloud, "Dear diary…"73 A diary kept by a young German Jewish girl by the name of Anne Frank provides us with invaluable lessons about history, for she documented her experiences while she hid from the Nazis during their occupation of the Netherlands in World War II.Her diary became one of the world's most widely read books and is the basis for many films.Samuel Pepys, who lived during the 17th century, is the earliest diary keeper that is famous today. His diary is also an important documentationof history, for it gives personal insight (洞察力) into London's Great Plague and the Great Fire. His diary is being published on the Internet, and it's interestingto note that there has been a new entry every day since January of 200.3 It will continue over the course of several years to come .74Today's electronic version of the diary, the web log or "blog" has once again stretched the diary to be much more than a personal account of the day's events. There are blogs to document recipes, traveling, movies, independent news, product announcements, photos, and anything else that needs to be recorded over time.Search engines like Technorati.corn have been created to keep trackof the more than 112 million blogs that are currently public .75 A.It refers to a book for writings by date.B.In its newest form, the diary has become more popular than ever.C.Reading his diary is fascinating, and it makes his life all the more real to us.D.People love to write diaries, so whenever they are free, they will write a few lines.E.Those private reflections may have historical significance long after theauthor's death.F. The book Writing Without Teachers introduced me to one distinction and one practice that has helped my writing processes greatly.____71____ Though you need to employ both while you are writing to get to a finished result, they cannot work in parallel no matter how much you might like to think so or even try to do so.Trying to criticize(批评) writing on the fly is possibly the single greatest barrier to writing thatmost of us often come across. If you are listening to that5th grade English teacher correct your grammar mistakes while you are trying to seize upon a fleeting (稍纵即逝的) thought, the thought will die. If you catch the fleeting thought and simply share it with the world just in raw form, no one is likely to understand it. ____72____The practice that can help you to get rid of your bad habits of trying to edit as you write is what Elbow calls “free writing. ” In free writing, the objective is to get words down on paper non-stop, usually for 15-20 minutes. No stopping, no going back, no correcting, no deleting. ____73____ As the words begin to flow, the ideas will come from the shadows wildly and you just let themselves be noted down on your paper or your screen.____74____ Most likely, you will believe that this will take more time than you actually have and you will end up staring blankly at the pages as the deadline draws near. Instead of staring at a blank, start filling it with words no matter how bad they are. Halfway through your available time, stop and rework your raw writing into something closer to finished product. ___75___.A. Try to find faults in the raw writing.B. The goal is to get the words flowing.C. Write down the words coming to your mind with caution.D. The distinction is between the creative mind and the critical mind.E. What makes a good school?I'm a parent of two elementary students. The experience that my children are going through now in the elementary school is so different from mine when I was at their age. What I think of a good school is communication between teachers.students and parents. 1 Parent-teaeher communication guarantees that a child is educated in the same way and in turn a child will build special bonds in communication between their teachers and parents.2 My children return home telling me that their teachers ignore their questions when they raise their hands and don’t talk much.On the other hand,I feel the same when I write notes to school.3 This is telling me there is a lack in communication from the school teachers nowadays as their life is so overwhelmed by the over-crowded schools we have in the US.However.choosing a career in education is not just for a good job.A teacher should really have heart in touching every c hild’s life.4 Even now,I still remember all my elementary school teachers’names.5 The answer lies in the fact that they spent every minute of their precious time helping me and answering all my questions with patience. When you have teachers who are willing to spend time for any child and communicate with parents,it is what I consider a GREAT school for a child to attend, not just GOOD.A.I don’t get any response from the teachers to my questions, not even a one-word response.B.There are different ways of communication, according to different cultures.C.Why is that?D.Strong communication is very important to a child’s education.E.I feel that schools nowadays don’t communicate with parents enough and neither is involvement.F.My elementary school teachers all touched my life.G.What do you think of it?1—5 DEAFCToday, kids have more worries and face more pressures than ever before. Here are a few tips to help your child focus on and do well in school.●Create a personal scheduleRecording everything that must be done on a calendar or “to do” list will help him to keep track of important dates and deadlines. If he keeps it in a visible place he will have no problem acknowledging upcoming events and will be better able to plan how and where to spend his time.●Watch the clock2 I also recommend setting his clock or watch five minutes ahead since it's always easy to run late. When it comes to something like catching a bus, just five minutes can make a significant difference.●FocusHe should train himself to be able to concentrate alone on one specific task. This is much easier in a noise-free environment. No TV or radio should be on to distract him.● 3Lack of sleep is proven to harm us physically. The more sleep we get,the more alert we are.We thus have more energy to handle life's daily tasks. The average adult needs at least six hours of sleep a night and the average child needs at least eight.●Stay in shapeThrough spending time outdoors or playing sports with friends,he can “blow off some steam” so to speak,as well as re-energize. 4●Talk through your problemsBe able to share his concerns with you. 5 If you make it clear that you understand him and are willing to help, not only will you contribute to his emotional health but you'll help build an open and honest relationship as well.A.Sharing feelings often makes them easier to deal with.B.Help your child work better to realize his aim.C.Setting an alarm for the morning is a must.D.Get enough sleep.E.Help your child do better in school.F.Encourage your child to be positive.G.Encourage him to get outside.
一、(2013课标卷I)Business is the organized approach to providing customers with the goods and services they want. The word business also refers to an organization that provides these goods and services. Most businesses seek to make a profit (利润)— that is, they aim to achieve income that is more than the costs of operating the business. 71 Commonly called nonprofits, these organizations are primarily nongovernmental service providers. 72 Business management is a term used to describe the techniques of planning, direction, and control of the operations of a business. 73 One is the establishment(制定) of broad basic policies with respect to production; sales; the purchase of equipment, materials and supplies; and accounting.74 The third relates to the establishment of standards of work in all departments. Since there are about a billion companies out there all ready to offer you public speaking training and courses, here are some things to look for when deciding the training that's right for you.·Focus on positivesAny training you do to become more effective at public speaking should always focus on the positive aspects of what you already do well. Nothing can hurt confidence more than being told that you aren't doing well. 52 , so good public speaking training should develop those instead of telling you what you shouldn't do.53 If you find a public speaking course that looks as though it's going to give you lots of dos and don'ts, walk away! The first city was probably founded no more than 5,500 years ago. 71_ . In fact, nearly everyone lived on farms or in tiny rural (乡村的) villages. It was not until the 20th century that GreatBritain became the first urban society in history--- a society in which the majority of people live in cities and do not farm for a living.Britain was only the beginning. 72_ .The process of urbanization--- the migration (迁移) of people from the countryside to the city--- was the result of modernization, which has rapidly transformed how people live and where they live. Only about 2% live on farms.73 .Large cities were impossible until agriculture became industrialized. Even in advanced agricultural societies. It took about ninety-five people on farms to feed five people in cities. _74 . When lab ratsare not allowed to sleep, they die within a month. 71One idea is that sleep helps us strengthen new memories. 72 We know that, while awake, fresh memories are recorded by reinforcing (加强) connections between brain cells, but the memory processes that take place while we sleep have been unclear.Support is growing for a theory that sleep evolved so that connections between neurons(神经元) in the brain can be weakened overnight, making room for fresh memories to form the next day. 73 Now we have the most direct evidence yet that he is right. 74 The synapses in the mice taken at the end of a period of sleep were 18 per cent smaller than those taken before sleep, showing that the connections between neurons weaken while sleeping. If Tononi’s theory is right, it would explain why, when we miss a night`s, we find it harder the next day to concentrate and learn new information — our brains may have smaller room for new experiences.Their research also suggests how we may build lasting memories over time even though the synapses become thinner. The team discovered that some synapses seem to be protected and stayed the same size. 75 “You keep what matters,” Tononi says.A. We should also try to sleep well the night before.B. It’s as if the brain is preserving its most important memories.C. Similarly, when people go for a few days without sleeping, they get sick.D.

Taking good notes is a time-saving skill that will help you to become a batter student in several ways71 Second, your notes are excellent materials to refer to when you are studying for a test. Third, note-taking offers variety to your study time and helps you to hold your interest. You will want to take notes during classroom discussions and while reading a textbook or doing research for a report.72 Whenever or however you take notes, keep in mind that note-taking is a selective process.73The following methods may work best for you.●Read the text quickly to find the main facts and ideas in it.●Carefully read the text and watch for words that can show main points and supporting facts.● Write your notes in your own words.● 74● Note any questions or ideas you may have about what was said or written. As you take notes, you may want to use your own shorthand(速记). When you do, be sure that you understand your symbols and that you use them all the time.75A. Use words, not complete sentences.B. There are three practical note-taking methods.C. You must write your notes on separate paper.D. Otherwise, you may not be able to read your notes later.E. you will also want to develop your own method for taking notes.F. That means you must first decide what is important enough to include in your notes.G. First, the simple act of writing something down makes it easier for you to understand and remember it.
如上述2009年高考英语辽宁卷阅读理解新题型样题中,第一段的第一句“Taking good notes is a time-saving skill that will help you to become a batter student in several ways”与下面几句是解释关系,解释关系是指后面的句子对前面的句子作解释、引申、例证,使意思更加明了、具体。
用这种方式组合的语段能够前呼后应,彼此配合,使语脉清楚,条分缕析,如“Whenever or however you take notes”一句与前两句前呼后应,彼此配合,为前句选“E. you will also want to develop your own method for taking notes.
2.找出句子之间的连接性的词语文章的语句间的组合,除了从语句间的意义关系分析外,还可借助句子之间的连接性词语来把握,因为连接性词语能表明这个语段句与句之间、层与层之间的基本关系是承接关系(如so, therefore, thus, hence, accordingly, consequently, as a result等)平列关系(如first, second, third…; firstly, secondly, thirdly…; first, next, then…; in the first place, in the second place…; for one thing, for another thing…;to begin with, to conclude等)。
转折关系(如however, nevertheless, nonetheless, still, though, yet, in spite of, at any rate, in any case, whoever, whatever on the contrary, in contrast, by contrast, in comparison, by comparison, conversely, otherwise等)。
层递关系(如also, further, furthermore, likewise, similarly, moreover, in addition, what’s more, too, either, neither, not…but…, not only…but also等)。
