名词所有格
1.“’s”所有格
（1）概念与形式
一般情况下，表示有生命的人或物，在单词 末尾直接加’s 表示你所有格。如：the boy’s mother男孩的母亲；Tom’s bike 汤姆的自行车；the children’s toys孩子 们的玩具。
（2）双重所有格的作用
表示“其中之一”或“其中一部分”，这是 of所有格和双重所有格在单句中意义比较接 近，只是侧重点略有不同。如：
He is a friend of my father’s=He is one of my father’s friends.他是我父亲 的一个朋友（着重说明我父亲不止一个朋友）

（一）表示有生命的名词所有格在名词后面 加 ’s 。 其变换规律如下：
1）单数名词一般直接加 ’s Lucy’s 例：________hat looks like a cat. (Lucy)

（三）名词单复数的不规则变化：
1. 有些名词由单数变复数时，不是在词尾加s, 而是变换其中的字母， 如：man--men woman--women policeman--policemen Englishman--Englishmen foot--feet， tooth—teeth 在词尾加“en”或“ren” child--children ox--oxen(公牛) mouse—mice老鼠
5）表示两个或两个以上的人各自所有的事物时,每个名词 后都加 ’s,后面的名词用复数 Kate’s and Jim’s mothers are in the same factory. 例：____________ (Kate and Jim)
（二）表示无生命的名词所有格 用 “of” 例： 1）the door of the classroom （教室的门） 2）the top of the hill （山顶）

不可数名词

可数名词的复数形式
①以 f 或 fe 结尾的名词，变 f 或 fe 为 v，再加–es；或直接加-s。如：leaf → leaves ; thief → thieves ; shelf → shelves ; reef → reefs ; roof → roofs
②以 o 结尾的名词，加 –es 或加- s。如： tomato → tomatoes ; hero → heroes ; piano → pianos ; radio → radios
疑难辨析
1.有不少名词在汉语中是可数的，在英语中 却不可数，因而不能说 a news , a bread , a cloth等。如果要表示“一”这 一概念时，就要加 a piece of 一类的词 语。

第一章 名词 作者：相信自己能行
一.名词的定义
名词是表示人、事物、地点或抽象概念 的名称。如：desk 桌子；time 时间；life 生活；book 书；room 房间；honesty 诚实； worker 工人；pencil 铅笔；computer 计算 机；city 城市；homework 作业。
五.名词的所有格
名词的所有格通常在词后加- ’s构成，用于 表示所属关系。用于以下情况：
1. 表示有生命的名词。
例如：my brother’s car children’s books 儿童读物
2. 表示国家、城市、地域的名词。
例如：China’s population Beijing’s weather
二.名词的分类
名词就其词汇意义可分为专有名词和普通名 词。普通名词又可分为可数名词和不可数名词。 专有名词：Beijing Smith the United Nations 普通名词： 可数名词可分为个体名词（如：man expert factory）和集合名词（如：audience（观众） class family） 不可数名词可分为物质名词（如：water coal rice）和抽象名词（如：surprise honour help ）
3. 表示天体、时间的名词。
例如：the moon’s surface today’s newspapers
4. 其他无生命的名词通常用 “ of + 名词 ” 的短语表示所 属关系。
例如：the object of the sentence 句子的宾语 the title of the film 影片的名字
注：部分抽象名词可与a (an)连用，此时词义发生变化，表示某种 事或人。这些词有：surprise, pleasure, shock, honour, help, success等。 当这类词在句子中作表语，作宾补及在介词as之后，词义发 生变化，通常要加a/an。paper表示 “纸” 不可数。表示 “报 纸、论文、书面作文、试卷、文件、有价证劵” 为可数名词。
※以下f结尾单词直接加 - s。
belief → beliefs（信念） proof → proofs（证据） chief → chiefs（首领） roof → roofs（屋顶） safe → safes（保险柜） gulf → gulfs（海湾）
7. 不规则变化。
man → men tooth → teeth ox → oxen
series 系列.

注：有些可数名词，只有单数形式，但表示复数意义。如果作主语，谓语动词
用复数形式。
如：cattle 牛; people 人民; police 警察。 注：集合名词既可看作单数（作为整体），也可看作复数（作为集体的各个成
员）。
如：audience 观众; class 班级; family 家庭; group 小组。 例句：Her family is well-known in the region. 她家在该地区是名门望族。
5. O前为元音字母，及部分外来词直接加 - s。 如：zoo → zoos radio → radios

6. 以f或fe结尾，变f或fe为v。再加-es.（常见九个）
wife → wives knife → knives thief → thives shelf → shelves life → lives（生命） half → halves wolf → wolves self → selves leaf → leaves
5. 物主代词不可与a，an，this，that，these，those， any，some，each，no，every，another，such， several ，which等词一起前置修饰一个名词，而必须用 双重所有格。公式为：a，an，this，that + 名词 + of + 名词性物主代词。
His family are quarrelling severely about the property. 她的家人正在为分家产激烈的争吵。
四.不可数名词
物质名词、抽象名词均属不可数名词。前面不能加不定冠词 a/an，词尾也不能加 - s。 请牢记下列典型的不可数名词。
news 消息； information 信息； advice 忠告，建议； progress 进步，发展； knoeledge 知识； weather 天气； fun 乐趣； equipment 设备； English 英语； furniture 家具； wealtjh 财富； damage 损坏； traffic 交通，车辆及行人； baggage/luggage 行李；clothing 衣服，衣着 word 消息，信息； work 工作； homework 家庭作业； housework 家务。
三.可数名词的复数形式
1. 一般情况，直接加 - s。 如：port(港口) → ports
technique（技术） → techniques
2. 以s，x，ch，sh结尾发【s】、【ʃ】、 【tʃ】、【dʒ】音的词，加-es。 如：bus → buses box → boxes
bush → bushes branch → branches stomach → stomachs （ stomach词尾发【k】， 故复数直接加 - s）
