思考实例: 两个学生要完成提升写作能力的任务。第一个人可能体 会到困难、遭遇挫折,并且最终放弃。这个学生给提升写作 能力的任务赋予了消极的意义,将之定义为一个注定失败的 情境。因为他认为学习写作应该是容易的,而当他实际遭遇 困难的时候,他感受到沮丧情绪,感受到挫折感。 而在相同情境中,另一个人将写作能力的提升视为挑战, 他体验到激动、令人愉快的情绪,这并不因为他拥有别人所 额米有的写作技巧,而是因为他对任务有着积极的心态。他 认为学习写作应该是困难的,需要很多时间。而高水平写作 能力的达成必须要反复的修订。 然而,在这个例子中,实际的任务完全是一样的。困难 或简单取决于个人应对挑战的方式。是决定勇敢面对还是完 全避免挑战最终决定个人是成功还是失败,而从根本上来讲, 这又是有思维习惯所决定。思维的差异导致了行为的情感体 验的差异。

every function requires a process of thinking, so we can analyze our thoughts based on our feelings and demands. e.g. when someone feel bored in class, he should ask himself these quetions: what caused this boring mood? if it's the content i don't likt to invole in, ask."what idea dominates my unwillingness of leaning? what is the value of this book? is it useful or neccessary to me? if it's a YES, what do i need to ajust to accept it?"
