二、定语从句在英语写作中的作用1.有助于避免中式英语的出现汉语中没有定语从句，所以如果在英语书面表达中恰当使用定语从句则可以避免中式英语的出现。

如：A.I have an interesting book， the book was bought by my father as a birthday present， I like it very much.B. I have an interesting book，and the book was bought by my father as a birthday presnet，and I like it very much.C. I have an interesting book，which was bought by my father as a birthday present. I like it very much.从以上三例句中不难看出，例句A是错误的。

分句间不能用逗号。

例句B是根据汉语意思表达出来的，况且and用得太多。

例句C使用了定语从句，符合英语的表达习惯。

2.用来增添细节，使表达更丰富、完整高考中书面表达的标准和要求是十分严格的。

除了覆盖要求的几点之外，还要进行拓展和补充，使得文章内容完整。

我认为，适当使用定语从句是增添细节的一个有效方式。

今天语文课上，老师讲了定语从句。

我听得好像有点晕呼呼的，总感觉它像个神秘的魔法，可以把句子变得更生动形象，更有趣。
