何锋：初中英语人机对话考试——挑战与选择 ?何锋，江苏省中小学教研室副书记，英语教研员，译林版牛津中小学英语系列教材主编。 为了实现英语教学评价工作的信息化，提高中考英语听力和口语测试的信度和效率，从2009年起，江苏省中考英语听力口语自动化考试（以下简称“人机对话考试”）开始实施。中考英语听力口语自动化考试采用人机对话形式进行听力和口语二合一考试，实现了考试和评估的全流程自动化（何锋，2010）。人机对话考试是一项具有挑战性的工作，一是因为在全国同类考试中属于首次，没有可以借鉴的经验；二是如何科学设置听力和口语测试题型、如何使考试环节更加合理和科学以及如何对考试成绩数据进行有效分析并对初中英语教学起指导作用等方面还存在许多需要改进和完善之处。六年来的实践证明，选择了挑战，就选择了机遇，人机对话考试促进了我省中小学英语教学的飞跃性的发展，它既是实施大规模听力口语考试的有效方法，又在很大程度上改变了中小学英语教学中长期存在的“重知识，轻能力；重笔试，轻口试和听力测试”的倾向，对我省基础教育阶段的英语教学产生了良好的导向作用。 人机对话考试的背景和意义 为了深化英语课程改革，落实《全日制义务教育普通高级中学英语课程标准（实验稿）》（教育部，2001；以下简称《课标》）提出的“测试应包括口试、听力考试和笔试等形式，全面考查学生综合语言运用能力”的要求，全面检测初中学生的英语听说能力，在2007年试点的基础上，2009年江苏省在英语中考中实施人机对话考试，命题、考试、判卷、结果反馈全部由计算机完成，实现考试和评估的全流程自动化。人机对话考试对于促进考试和评价的改革以及提升中小学英语教学质量具有重要的意义。 人机对话考试首先可以保证考试技术的先进性。它能减少主观的、短期内难以避免的以及一些不可预料的影响听力、口语考试的因素对听力、口语考试的影响，增强中考考试的信度和效度，确保考试的有效性；其次可以保证测试内容的针对性。积累丰富的听力口语测试材料，建立符合英语听力和口语测试要求的、适合初中毕业生实际水平的听力和口语试题库，体现英语语言的交际功能，确保测试对教学具有正面的导向作用；三是可以保证测试结果反馈的准确性。借助计算机系统完成听力和口语考试，并由计算机对考生的听力答案和口语录音进行全自动评分，反馈评估结果，通过测试反馈提出对教学有价值的建议，提高教学的针对性。考试流程如下图所示。 人机对话考试要求、题型、评分 人机对话考试作为中考的组成部分，以交际性语言测试思想为理论基础，依据《课标》中“听”、“说”五级目标要求和《功能意念项目表》，并根据人机对话大规模考试的特点来定义听力口语自动化考试的测量目标。 1.?人机对话考试要求
