本单元围绕“传说和故事”这个话题，谈论过去发生的事情，重点训练“讲故事”这个语言功能项目。通过学习，要求学生掌握如何用过去时态讲述一个故事，描述古老的传说和有趣的故事，激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣，理解并体会传说和故事的教育意义。在了解目标语言的基础上，要求学生能理解优美的传说和有趣的故事，掌握故事的基本结构，讲述自己喜爱的故事。
Section A主要围绕愚公移山和美猴王的故事展开，使学生学会用一般过去时表达故事，并用unless， as soon as，so...that...＂引导的状语从句来连接故事，培养学生坚忍不拔的品格和助人为乐的精神。
Section B主要围绕着安徒生童话故事《皇帝的新装》进行听说训练，同时通过《糖果屋》的故事进行了阅读训练。让学生通过了解故事的情节发展，捕捉关键信息，使学生能用讲故事的形式进行恰当输出。
【学情分析】（分析知识生成点及新旧知识的关联，预设学生学习困难）初二学生已经学习了一般过去时的用法，这也是学生常用的时态之一，也听说过《愚公移山》、《女娲补天》、《皇帝的新装》等故事。但把故事用自己的话描述出来却很难，可是本单元的话题学生很感兴趣。所以，在教学过程中，要充分调动学生的兴趣、激发他们的学习积极性是关键。

1.能够熟练掌握并学会运用本单元的重点词汇、短语及句型。
2.掌握连词unless, as soon as, so...that...等的用法。

4.能够运用教材中的听力材料对学生进行听力训练。

【主干问题及突破策略】（问题化、系列化、层次化、整体化，并设计突破策略）主干问题1：unless引导的条件状语从句
突破策略：
用作连词，意为“除非，如果不”，引导条件状语从句，若主句为一般将来时、祈使句或谓语中含有情态动词时，从句常用一般现在时表示将来。通常可为“if...not”结构进行转换。
结合if的用法，总结unless的用法，并加以练习。
主干问题2：as soon as引导的时间状语从句
突破策略：
意为“一...就...”，引导时间状语从句。若主句是一般将来时，从句常用一般现在时表示将来。
与if,unless的用法结合起来，学习as soon as的用法。
主干问题3：so...that...结构的用法？
突破策略：
意为“如此...以致于...”,that引导结构状语从句，其句型为：主语+谓语+so+形容词+that+从句。
放在句型中让学生发现问题，并在具体练习中进行运用。
主干问题4：如何用自己的话来叙述故事？
突破策略：
先确定时态——一般过去时。用动词短语来勾画故事概况，再加上一定的语言来叙述整个故事。
