Here you can see over 30,000 amazing sea creatures swimming around in huge tanks of water. My favorite animals are the sharks - there are sand tiger sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and even gigantic whale sharks which are the biggest fish in the world! The aquarium has an underwater tunnel that you can walkthrough with sharks and other fish swimming above and around you. There is also a cool rainforest area with piranhas, arapaimas, and other Amazon river creatures. Don't miss the sea lion show where the trainers make the sea lions do funny tricks.If you like rollercoasters and rides, you have to go to the Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park. This massive park has some of the craziest rides I've ever been on! The Kraken is a floorless rollercoaster that goes upside down seven times. Just thinking about it makes my stomach flip! There is also the Fjord Rafting water coaster that splashes you down a giant water slide. My little brother's favorite is the Revolution coaster that spins you around and around until you feel dizzy. Apart from the wild rides, there are fun shows with dolphins, sea lions, and acrobats. You can even pet seals and swim with dolphins if you aren't scared!Not far away is the Shanghai Disneyland Park which is definitely a magical place for kids. It has so many classic Disney rides and attractions spread across different themed lands. I love racing through Space Mountain in Tomorrowland and sailing through Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland. The Enchanted Storybook Castle is incredible - it's just like the castle in the movies! Don't miss the amazing stage shows and parades with all your favorite Disney characters. Be sure to get someMickey Mouse shaped snacks or a cute souvenir before you leave.If you get tired of theme parks, head over to the Shanghai Botanical Gardens for a peaceful nature experience. This huge garden has plant species from all over the world arranged in different scenic landscapes and exhibits. My favorite areas are the rose garden with thousands of roses in bloom, the amazing bonsai tree exhibit, and the fun indoor rainforest conservatory filled with tropical plants, waterfalls and birds. You can also take a paddleboat out on the lake or have a picnic on the sprawling lawns.
