应三峡大学邀请，维也纳大学副校长JURENITSCH教授及夫人、法学院院长RECHBERGER教授及维也纳大学对华代表李夏德博士一行四人于2002年11月2日至4日对三峡大学进行了访问。三峡大学副校长石亚非教授及国际合作与交流处、医学院、政法学院、文学院负责人与来宾进行了亲切友好的会谈，两方达成以下共识：1．双方均愿意加强交流与合作，逐步建立友好伙伴关系；

2．双方有意向首先在药学、环保、法学等领域进行合作；维也纳大学愿意帮助三峡大学推进德语教学；

3．双方有意向开展教师和学生交流，并创造条件共同举办国际学术研讨会；

4．三峡大学与维也纳大学合作联系人为三峡大学国际合作与交流处处长刘瑄传教授和维也纳大学对华代表李夏德博士。

5．维也纳大学邀请三峡大学明年组团访问维也纳大学，以便进一步推进合作，三峡大学感谢并接受邀请。

Memorandum of Understanding

between

University of Vienna (UV)

and

China Three Gorges University(CTGU) Invited by China Three Gorges University (CTGU), Prof. JURENITSCH, Vice-president of University of Vienna (UV), Prof. RECHBERGER, the Dean of the Faculty of Law of UV，and Prof. TRAPPL, Representative of UV on China Affairs, visited CTGU from November 2, 2002 to November 4, 2002. After a sincere and friendly conversation with Professor SHI Ya-fei, Vice-president of CTGU, the Director of Department of International Relations, the Rector of College of Medical Science, the Rector of College of Law and the Rector of College of Arts, both sides exchanged their ideas and agreed with the following items:

1．Both sides have the desire of developing mutual cooperation in research and educational affairs;

2．Both sides agree to develop cooperation at the beginning in the fields of Pharmacy, Environmental Protection and Law.

UV will assist CTGU to improve German language teaching

in CTGU；

3．Both sides agree to explore staff/student exchange programs and make an effort to hold an international

conference together；

4．The liaisons for the cooperation are Prof. LIU Xuan-chuan, the Director of Department of International

Relations of CTGU, and Prof. TRAPPL, Representative of

UV on China Affairs.

5．Prof. JERENITSCH, Vice-president of UV extended the invitation of the delegation from CTGU to visit UV in 2003.

Prof. SHI Ya-fei, Vice-president of CTGU accepted it with

gratitude.
