ADF发射台分两类：
The ADF transmitters are classified in two categories:
航路发射台，NDB，其半径达100Nm
Enroute transmitter, N D B, with ranges up to 100 Nm
进近信标，指定标，其半径达25Nm
Approach beacon, Locator, with ranges up to 25 Nm
当发射台是在低中频带上工作，其值从190 kHz到 535 kHz，偶尔达到1800 kHz
