讲座题是先听做笔记,然后再发题目根据笔记答题。这是一个将听力和做笔记填空结合的考试项目。但是做笔记并不是要把听到的每一个单词都记下来。这既不现实,也没必要。笔记无非是帮助记忆的手段,只要能把重要的信息用可识别的符号记录下来,就算达到了目的。因此,为了提高记笔记的效率,应注意掌握一定的笔记技巧。

一、抓中心话题(thesis statement)

正如我们前面所讲,讲座的特征是在一开始即总述主题,因此讲座开始时要抓中心话题,这样可以迅速理解讲座主题,对全文做出预判。比如,当听到“American Indians—A People in Crisis”这一标题时,考生就会想到讲座的中心思想是美洲印第安人和他们面临的危机。内容可能涉及到美洲印第安人是什么样的民族,他们的祖先是谁,他们的历史、文化、风俗习惯,他们现在的状况以及所面临的问题等等。

二、抓主题句(topic sentence)

前面我们讲过,讲座的主体部分多是对讲座主题各个方面的分述,而考点又多涉及这些分述的细节描述,因此抓住每个分述点的主题句,才能跟上讲座人的思路。

三、抓信号词(signal words)

我们前面讲过,讲座中经常有一些提示语,引导考生听完900词长的文章。考生在听的时候,可以将这些提示语视为信号词,积极记录这些信号词后的主要内容。

此外,当出现as well as, not only…but also, but, however, nevertheless, because, since, so,if, even if/even though,though, although等表示逻辑关系的连接词时,其后的内容也需重点加以记录。

四、抓关键词(key words)

讲座中的关键词多为名词、形容词、数词和动词,它们往往出现在最后所要填写的十个词中,所以是记录的重点。关键词不像前三项那样易于把握,但它们可以通过前三项为主要根据进行理解和判断。

五、使用缩略语

做笔记一定要迅速,而要想在有限的时间内尽可能比较全面地记录重点信息,使用一定

星期2 Tuesday 3大试题设制特点 Mini-Lecture部分的答题卷听完录音后才提供,一般作为Answer Sheet Two发放。答题纸上的考题设置在归纳过的听力原文之中,考题文章长度在200词左右。该题型的目的是考查考生对讲座内容的理解。 一、提纲式命题 讲座的试题部分大多采用提纲的形式,把原文中的要点进行归纳和罗列,把干扰信息排除在外。 提纲的特点是:首段进行概括;中间可以直接看到文章从几个方面进行说明,而且层次分明;用语非常简洁精练,基本上多用短语而不是句子;提纲中的文字与原文的文字不完全重合,多数进行总结概括或同义转换。 二、考点以名词为主 分析历年的真题,我们会发现这一部分考点涉及的词性以名词为主,10个题中名词最少也在5个以上。这主要是因为讲座的主要设题点为1)讲座主题或结构性的句子中出现的关键名词;2)某一事物总体特征描述时的关键词;3)分述各个特点或各个方面细节时出现的实词。

三、考查两大能力 1.归纳概括能力 一篇长达900多字的文章浓缩为200字左右的提纲,对其中的要点进行填空,可见,讲座试题已经超出单纯考查听力理解能力的层面,首要考查的是归纳概括能力。对于考生而言,这种试题有一定的难度,因为需要在理解原文的基础上进行概括总结。 2.细节捕捉能力 文章长,信息量大是讲座材料的特征。可见对考生细节捕捉能力的考查也是本题型的主要目的。此类试题的答案一般可以直接从原文中得出,多数捕捉到原词即为答案,少数需要对捕捉到的细节进行一下转述。 【例4】(10-6) 【例5】(10-5)

听力section1 Mini-lecture 1. 首先是Mini-lecture部分,这是个确实让人挠头的部分,刚开始练习的时候正确率比较低,所以大家一定要耐心,多做练习,反复听,其中做mini的小窍门就是: (1)答案大多是名词居多,然后是形容词,最后才是动词。所以大家听的时候一定要对文章中的名词和形容词多留个心眼儿, (2)还有就是一定要把握文章的结构,参考书大家可以选用《英语听力快速突破—英语专业八级》点此查看。刚开始用这本书来练习,因为书中的答案讲得比较详细(对了,在最后的一部分我会对我使用的参考书做一一评价,大家敬请关注)。练得多了,自然就有感觉了。还有就是速记符号的使用,这个东西因人而异,所以不必拘泥于一种速记符号,只要自己能明白就好,举例来说,information--info,但是大家千万不要陷入到这样一个误区,就是光想着速记,而忘了你使用这些符号的目的,为的就是得分嘛,所以在听的时候要有个模糊的general idea,通过大约一个月左右的训练,基本上可以达到四五个的正确率了。如果说mini部分的难度值是9的话,那么下面部分的难度值就会直线下降,但是大家依然还是要给与高度重视,因为这是八级考试。 具体答题时需注意细节: 同一意思的不同表达法:对所听内容必须理解(一定要仔细听懂,宁可不写,也要听懂内容)之后,根据空格要求(因为空格所填词汇所要求的语法形式可能和你所听到的原文单词不同,甚至填的词汇是要求你经过概括总结后提炼出来的词汇,所以再三强调要求理解,理解之后才会产生优良的记忆,一定要仔细听懂,宁可不写,也要听懂内容),将原文意思通过另一种形式表达出来。 ·听记为主,笔记为辅(理解最重要,宁可不写,也要理解) 争取做到一心两用,做笔记的时候耳朵不能休息;对于那些大量罗列又细枝末节的信息,记个首字母甚至不留笔记都可以,关键是听清楚,记在心里。 ·听懂句子,抓住实词,放弃例证 ,在笔记中体现出来的应该是实词,即传达句子·紧跟提示词,笔记有条理 一般来说材料都会比较有条理 要包括以下几类: 1.解释性、态度性插入语; 2.祈使句; 3.疑问句; 4.逻辑关联词。 ·高度重视首尾部分
