Worldwide Limited Warranty and Technical SupportHP Business Desktop ProductsHardware Limited WarrantyGeneralThis HP Hardware Limited Warranty gives you, the customer, express limited warranty rights from HP, the manufacturer. Please refer to HP's Web site for an extensive description of your limited warranty entitlements. In addition, you may also have other legal rights under applicable local law or special written agreement with HP.EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED W ARRANTY, HP MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Limited Warranty Repair or Replacement During the Limited Warranty Period, HP will, within a reasonable time, repair your product or replace any defective component. In the unlikely event that your HP Hardware has a recurring failure, HP, at its sole discretion, may elect to provide you with a replacement unit of HP's choosing that is the same or equivalent to your HP Hardware in performance. This is your exclusive remedy for defective products. HP reserves the right to elect, at its sole discretion, to give you a refund of your purchase price or lease payments (less interest) instead of a replacement upon prompt return of the hardware product to your HP Authorized Service Provider or other HP designate. All hardware products removed under this Limited Warranty become the property of HP. The replacement part or product takes on either the Limited Warranty status of the removed part or product or the thirty (30) day Limited Warranty of the replacement part.HP HardwareThis Hardware Limited Warranty applies only to the HP-branded and Compaq-branded hardware (collectively referred to in this Hardware Limited Warranty as "HP Hardware") sold by or leased from Hewlett-Packard Company, its worldwide subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized resellers, or country distributors (collectively referred to in this Hardware Limited Warranty as "HP") with this Hardware Limited Warranty. The term "HP Hardware" is limited to the hardware components and required firmware. The term "HP Hardware" DOES NOT include any software applications or programs.HP does NOT provide support for this product configured as a network server.Unless otherwise stated, and to the extent permitted by local law, hardware products may be manufactured using new materials or new and used materials equivalent to new in performance and reliability. HP may repair or replace HP hardware products (i) with equivalent products to the products being repaired or replaced but which may have been subject to prior use, (ii) with products containing remanufactured parts equivalent to new in performance or parts which may have been used, or (iii) with equivalent products to an original product that has been discontinued. Replacement parts are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for thirty (30) days or for the remainder of the Limited Warranty Period of the HP Hardware in which they are installed, whichever is longer. Non-HP HardwareAll non-HP hardware products or peripherals external to the central processor unit—such as external storage subsystems, displays, printers, and other peripherals—are covered by the applicable vendor warranties for those products. Non-HP hardware products are not warranted by HP. However, non-HP manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers may provide their own warranties directly to you.Proof of Purchase and Limited Warranty Period HP warrants that the HP Hardware that you have purchased or leased from HP is free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the Limited Warranty Period. The Limited Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase or lease from HP. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase or lease of the product, is your proof of the purchase or lease date. You may be required to provide proof of purchase or lease as a condition of receiving warranty service. You are entitled to warranty service according to the terms and conditions of this document if a repair to your HP Hardware is required within the Limited Warranty Period.ExclusionsHP does not warrant that the operation of this hardware product will be uninterrupted or error-free. HP is not responsible for damage that occurs as a result of your failure to follow the instructions that came with the HP Hardware. This Hardware Limited Warranty does not extend to any product from which the serial number has been removed or that has been damaged or rendered defective (a) as a result of accident, misuse, abuse, contamination, improper or inadequate maintenance or calibration or other external causes; (b) by operation outside the published operating specifications for the product; (c) by software, interfacing, parts or supplies not supplied by HP; (d) improper site preparation or maintenance; (e) virus infection; (f) loss or damage in transit; or (g) by modification or service by anyone other than (i) HP, (ii) an HP authorized service provider, or (iii) your own installation of end-user replaceable HP or HP approved parts if available for your product in the servicing country. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase or lease of the product, is your proof of the purchase or lease date. You may be required to provide proof of purchase or lease as a condition of receiving software technical support. After the first ninety (90) days, technical support for software preinstalled by HP on the HP Hardware or included with the HP Hardware at the time of your purchase or lease of the product is available for a fee.Linux Operating Systems and ApplicationsHP does not provide software technical support for Linux operating systems or other Linux applications. Software technical support for Linux software sold with HP Hardware is provided by the Linux vendor.Please refer to the Linux operating system or other Linux application support statement included with your HP Hardware.International Limited Warranty and Limited Warranty Transfer to Another CountryThis limited warranty is extended worldwide under certain conditions to products which are reshipped by the original purchaser either for his own use or provided as an incidental part of systems integrated by the original purchaser. When available in the country of use, service is provided in the same manner as if the product was purchased in that country and can only be provided in countries where the product is designed to operate. Also, standard warranty service response time is subject to change due to local parts availability. A customer may be required to provide product-specific information, in accordance with the HP Global Warranty Notification process, prior to moving the products. The required information ensures that HP is prepared to provide the required level of warranty service in the destination country and that the product is designed to work in the destination country. If the product is not normally sold by HP in the country of use, it may need to be returned to the country of purchase for service. This will save considerable repair time. After you call the HP Technical Support Center at 1.800.652.6672, a replaceable part can be sent directly to you. Once the part arrives, call the HP Technical Support Center. A technician will assist you over the phone to ensure that the installation is quick and easy.HP is not responsible for, nor warrants your replacement parts or hardware product against, damage resulting from improper installation of replacement parts or the repair of your defective product by you or your designate.Service UpgradesHP offers additional support and service coverage for your product. ”1.笔记本电脑的国家三包政策规定目前,关于笔记本电脑的投诉事件目前正处于急速上升的事态。
对于笔记本电脑,国家相关部门直到2002年9月1日才颁布了《微型计算机商品修理更换退货责任规定》,明确了消费者、销售者、生产者、修理者四方的权利和义务。
国家三包规定明确指出了微型计算机商品实行谁销售谁负责三包的原则,销售者与生产者、销售者与供货者、销售者与修理者之间订立的合同,不得免除本规定的三包责任和义务。
笔记本电脑三包有效期分为整机三包有效期、主要部件三包有效期。
三包有效期自开具发货票之日起计算,扣除因修理占用、无零配件待修延误的时间。
三包有效期的最后一天为法定休假日的,以休假日的次日为三包有效期的最后一天。
在三包有效期内,消费者凭发货票和三包凭证办理修理、换货、退货。
如果消费者丢失发货票和三包凭证,但能够证明该微型计算机商品在三包有效期内,销售者、修理者、生产者应当按照本规定负责修理、更换。
对于如何解读国家三包规定,有如下几点需要注意:首先,注意该三包规定只针对个人用户,如果是针对企业用户的售后服务则很可能需要收取一定费用,比如各大品牌纷纷推出的付费售后服务保障,为单位采购笔记本应注意向厂商询问清楚这一点;其次,明确笔记本电脑的保修期,国家三包规定整机保修一年,主要部件保修两年,具体规定可以见下图,但大多数笔记本厂商都的保修期限和保修范围都要优于国家三包规定,比如宏碁将主板、CPU、内存、键盘、鼠标模块等部件的免费保修期延长到3年等等。
《微型计算机商品修理更换退货责任规定》中指出,销售者、生产者可制定更有利于维护消费者合法权益的三包承诺,但前提要严于国家所颁布的三包承诺。
并且,承诺作为明示担保,应用依法履行,否则应当依法承担责任。
正是因为在国家三包和生产商服务政策之间存在着一块较为模糊的灰色地带,很多买卖纠纷才会应运而生,在某种意义上讲《微型计算机商品修理更换退货责任规定》似乎并没有成为消费者的尚方宝剑。
微型计算机商品修理更换退货责任规定由国家质检总局,联合信息产业部等有关部门共同签发的<<微型计算机商品修理更换退货责任规定>>(俗称个人电脑"三包"规定)将从2002年9月1日起实行。
为了积极配合此规定的执行,保护消费者合法权益,中国惠普公司将严格遵循其中各项条款。
同时也为了便于消费者理解此《三包规定》有关条款和了解中国惠普公司的执行办法,请您留意以下内容。
一、定义和范围1. 此《规定》适用于2002年9月1日起在中华人民共和国境内销售的列入此规定《实施三包的微型计算机商品目录》的微型计算机主机、外部设备、选购件及软件。
当消费者要求"三包"服务时,可先行检查所要求服务的微机商品是否符合这些"三包"条件。
2. 三包开始日期为消费者购机发票日期。
二、执行办法4. 惠普微型计算机产品实行谁销售谁负责三包的原则。
5. 在为您提供服务的过程中,本公司所做的保修承诺(详见保修卡)如高于《规定》中相关条款,按本公司所做承诺执行;否则,将按《规定》中条款执行。
6. 购买适用于此《三包规定》的商品时,请督促销售者当面交验。
并向销售者咨询三包方式和修理者信息。
同时要求销售者明示三包有效期,提供《微型计算机商品三包凭证》和有效发货票。
《微型计算机商品三包凭证》必须按要求准确完整地填写,并加盖销售者印章;有效发货票应当注明商品商标及型号、销售日期、销售者印章、金额等内容。

谈到笔记本的保修问题,一般消费者修机器主要有三种渠道:一是直接找厂家或者指定的维修点维修,大多为消费者自己送修或者厂家专业工程师上门服务;维修时间一天至一个月左右,比较费时间,不过保修效果最好、价格最低。
第二,找您购买笔记本的经销商维修,部分商家提供上门服务;一般维修时间在一天到一个周,价格较高而且保修效果参差不齐。
第三,到电脑医院送修或者找熟人修;维修时间不确定,修理效果不确定,修理费用低廉或者免费。
相对来讲,采用直接送到厂家维修或者由厂家提供上门服务的保修形式最为可靠:因为笔记本的生产厂家对于产品最了解,维修水平也最高;而且关乎品牌形象问题,能够引起厂家的重视,部分维修不收取费用。
大部分消费者选择的也是这种手段,不过不同的品牌有不同的保修策略。
一般来讲,各厂商共同点是:都需要用户出示正式发票或者保修卡之类的文件,都按照中国大陆颁布的“三包”条例办理个人用户的保修问题,对于地震、海啸等自然灾害造成的损失不保修,人为损坏不保修或者收取费用保修等等。
国家规定的“三包”服务包括:在出售之日起7日内出现《三包规定》所列性能故障,您可以要求修理、更换或退货。
如您要求退货,一般厂家都会负责免费为您退货,并按发货票价格一次退清货款。

BackgrounderDealer guide to warranties for small-format HP Inkjet printing suppliesYou and your customers can trust the performance and reliability of HP printing products and supplies because HP provides warranties that are fair, easy to understand and simple to manage.HP’s warranty for inkjet printing supplies HP’s ink cartridges and printheads are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the period of the warranty. This warranty pertains to the product when used in its designated HP or authorised OEM printing device. HP will, at HP’s option, either refund the purchase price or replace products that prove to be defective. Refer to the printing-device manual for the proper product selection. The product is covered under warranty as long as: • The Warranty Ends date has not been reached. The Warranty Ends date, in YYYY/MM/DD format, may be found on the product as indicated in the pictures to the left.• There is still ink available for use (applies to ink cartridges).• The product has not been refilled, remanufactured, refurbished, misused or tampered with.• The product has not exceeded its warranted usage as described in the printer manual or contract (applies to HP 10, 11, 14, 940 printheads only).• The coverage for original printheads (‘original’ printheads are the printheads that came with the printer) lasts for one year from purchase, or until the “Warranty Ends” date on the printhead, whichever is later. Proof of purchase may be required.How long does warranty last?Warranty duration is the length of time between the purchase of the supply and the Warranty Ends date. 8.惠普笔记本电脑产品附件的保修政策会根据附件所属主机的不同而有所不同。
标配附件随主机保修,单独购买的附件享有自己的保修。
笔记本电池为特例消耗品,保修一年。

三、例外条款
以下情况不属于保修范畴
☆非硬件类的技术问题(可以查询惠普电子化支持网站或致电惠普售后支持热线8008103888)
☆无惠普标识的产品
☆非惠普部件或用户自行更换备件,且该备件未从惠普或惠普指定销售商处购买
☆产品的清洁或正常维护☆消耗材料(如:外壳,接插部件的自然消耗,磨损及老化)
☆因错误安装、操作(如带电插拔数据线等),或在非产品所规定的工作环境下使用造成的故障或损坏(例如温度过高、过低,过于潮湿或干燥,海拔过高,电压或电流不稳定,零地电压过大等等)
☆因事故、滥用(包括超出工作负荷)、误用造成的损坏
☆因保管不当(如鼠害、液体渗入等)造成的损坏
☆因使用自编或非公开发行软件导致产品不能正常工作的损坏
☆因维护不当而导致的计算机病毒感染
☆因安装及使用非标准扩展功能卡造成的故障或损坏
☆因擅自拆机修理或越权改装或滥用造成的故障或损坏
☆因非惠普授权的维修中心进行维修造成的损坏
☆因使用不合格的打印共享器造成的故障或损坏
☆因人为或自然灾害所造成的故障或损坏
四、保修适用范围:
中华人民共和国,不包括香港、澳门特别行政区和台湾地区
特别提示:
1.上述各条款规定了惠普公司对产品的所有责任,并取代其他一切明示及暗示的保证和/或其他责任。
在产品不能良好运转时,惠普对用户的责任仅限于按照以上的条款进行产品的维修和/或更换。
除此之外,无其它担保。
如国家适用法律另有明确规定,惠普公司将遵照法律执行。
2.无论是何种原因导致用户无法正常使用惠普产品而造成的任何直接或间接损失,惠普公司只承担国家适用法律所要求必须承担的责任。
3.惠普公司在任何情况下,对于由于用户的产品丢失而引起的损失;对于数据记录、资料和/或程序等无形财产的损坏而造成的损失;对于第三方向用户提出赔偿要求所造成的损失不负任何责任。

案例:用户在美国购买产品A带到中国使用,并且A不在中国销售。
解决方式:
1 在中国不具备技术支持能力(按政策解释)
申请购买国维修人员上门维修,差旅费由用户承担;或将产品送至惠普指定
的维修中心用户承担运输费用。
惠普完成维修后免费将产品返还用户。
2 在中国具备技术支持能力(工程师可以维修,并且可以订到备件)
可以应用户要求进行维修。
但要和用户说明,我们只是在帮他的忙。
