It can help us to cultivate the habit of thinking in English. If we persist in this practice, gradually we’ll in this practice, gradually we’ll learn how to express ourselves in English. learn how to express ourselves in English. In keeping a diary in English, we inevitably run up against a lot of difficulties. In the first place, it often happens that we have trouble finding appropriate words and phrases to give expression to our mind. Secondly, there are many idiomatic ways of saying things in Chinese. And it is extremely hard for us to put them into English properly. Certainly, there are some other roadblocks we may come across in our keeping a diary in English. As far as I’m concerned As far as I’m concerned, my suggestion is that we should always have a notebook , my suggestion is that we should always have a notebook and a Chinese-English dictionary within easy reach. Whenever something beats us, we can first put it down in our notebook and then consult our dictionary. We can also turn to our English teacher for help, if necessary. In short, I believe that it is of great use to keep a diary in English for the development of our writing skills.Test 3Keeping PetsWith the rise of people With the rise of people’’s living standard, keeping pets is becoming a fashionable activity in China. More and more pet markets are set up across the nation, in which various kinds of pets are available. Over the past few years, even the prices of pets have been on the rise. Some people would spend several thousand yuan on a smart dog or a rare bird. If you are strolling along the streets in the evening, you ’ll see a lot of people walking dogs.People keep pets for different reasons. For most families, pets are lovely, sensitive creatures with whom they are able to communicate. They keep them just for fun and pleasure. As for some adults, playing with their pets is their favorite form of relaxation after a day relaxation after a day’’s work. As for children, it seems that there are no better friends or companions they can find than a funny-looking dog or a clever cat. However, for some people, keeping pets is only a display of their wealth. By owning an expensive dog or bird, they intend to show off how wealthy they are.I, myself, don I, myself, don’’t see anything wrong with keeping pets. I think the love that exists between us human and animals can be even more strongly felt while we are feeding a pet. It is this harmonious relationship between human and animals that contributes to the balance of nature.Test 4Job Problems for College GraduatesNowadays, college graduates find it more and more difficult to get a rewarding job, and worst of all, many of them can’’t find jobs in their specialties. But why does job, and worst of all, many of them canthat take place? The possible reasons are as follows:Firstly, what the students have learned in colleges or universities can’t meet the demand of the development of industries. For one thing, the courses offered by colleges are so outdated that it it’’s hard for those graduates to translate their book knowledge into real job skills. For another, the students haven’t been taught how to combine the theory with practice. Secondly, it it’’s hard to make a choice between a well-paid job and a favorite one. Some graduates may give up their majors only to seek more money, but this will certainly prevent them from putting their ability into full play. Thirdly, there’s an oversupply of graduates in certain fields and this supply is still increasing. Now most students tend to choose such majors as English, accounting, computer, etc., which they think society needs most and will offer them better job prospects. The trend is so strong that too many students flood into the popular fields. As a result, many of them fail to enter the profession for which they are trained. To solve the problems, we should get the students out of ivory tower to gear their courses to the needs of industries and businesses, and help students seek a way of living a more significant life.Test 6Social Practice in EducationThe majority of the college students think that social practice is not important. They only consider their study as the most important thing. So they do well in class, but pay no attention to social practice. Some students don’t participate in any social practice at all. Therefore, they have little knowledge about society. In fact, social practice should become an organic component of school education. The knowledge we obtain in class is limited. So it is essential for the students to participate in social practice in order to learn something that they can’t get in class. In this sense, social practice is an important part of school education because it is a valuable supplement to classroom teaching.Participation in social practice does a lot of good to us. We can apply the knowledge we obtain from our textbooks to the solution of practical problems. Furthermore, participation in social practice can help the students have more knowledge about our society and our country. They will take correct attitudes towards their studies so that the teachers needn’’t always urge them to work hard.their studies so that the teachers neednTest 7Parental Hopes and Personal DesiresObligations to our parents are very important. Parents are the most beloved persons in the world. They bring us up, care about our lives, take care of our health and help us overcome difficulties. They think all decisions they make are good for us. Besides, they are more experienced. So we should do as they ask.Sometimes, obligations to parents cause people much distress. Between parents and us, there is often a generation gap. As we grow up, we develop our attitude toward life and the world. Sometimes parental hops and personal desires are quite different things. So we different things. So we’’ll be upset if we unwillingly act on their hopes.e W e’’d better find a way which can make ourselves happy while pleasing our parents at the same time. It It’’s necessary for us to exchange our thoughts with our parents from time to time so that we can narrow the gap between us. In this way, both parental hopes and personal desires will come true.Test8Dear John,I’m very glad to hear that you have passed the examination an d been accepted by a very famous university. I feel so proud of you and I believe you really deserve the honor since you have been working so hard.As you have mentioned in the letter, there are both similarities and differences between college life and the high school.
The Importance of Oral English Examinations in Enhancing Communication SkillsIn the realm of language learning, the oral English examination stands as a pivotal aspect, serving not only as a means of assessment but also as a catalyst for enhancing communication skills. This examination format demands a proficiency in both language comprehension and expression, thereby fostering a comprehensive understanding of the English language. The oral English examination typically comprises a series of tasks designed to evaluate a student's ability to communicate effectively in English. These tasks may range from simple introductions and conversations to more complex discussions and presentations. Each task presents a unique challenge, requiring students to demonstrate their fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and logical thinking. The process of preparing for an oral English examination is inherently beneficial. It encourages students to engage actively with the language, practicing speaking and listening skills in a controlled environment. This preparation often involves role-playing, mockinterviews, and group discussions, which provide valuable opportunities for students to practice their speakingskills in a safe and supportive setting. Moreover, the oral English examination serves as a bridge between the classroom and real-world communication. In today's interconnected world, the ability to communicate effectively in English is a crucial skill for success in various fields, including business, education, and international relations. By participating in an oral English examination, students are able to gain confidence in their speaking abilities and apply these skills in real-life situations.Furthermore, the feedback received during the examination process is invaluable. Teachers and evaluators provide insights into areas where students can improve, such as pronunciation, vocabulary usage, or sentence structure. This feedback serves as a roadmap for further development, guiding students in their efforts to enhance their communication skills. However, it is worth noting that the oral English examination should not be the sole focus of languagelearning. While it is an important aspect, it should be balanced with other language skills, such as reading, writing, and listening. A comprehensive approach to language learning ensures that students develop a well-rounded understanding of the language and are able to use it effectively in various contexts. In conclusion, the oral English examination plays a significant role in enhancing communication skills. It not only assesses a student's ability to communicate in English but also serves as a powerful tool for promoting active language learning and preparation for real-world communication. By embracing the challenges andopportunities presented by the oral English examination, students can develop their communication skills and lay the foundation for future success.**口语考试在提升沟通技巧中的重要性**在语言学习领域,口语考试是一个至关重要的环节,它不仅是评估学生水平的一种方式,更是提升沟通技巧的催化剂。

大学四级英语口语考试范文1.大学四级英语口语考试范文篇一A recent survey, carried out by a Beijing-based information compa ny, has shown that two thirds of the Chinese college students today fa vor the idea of saving money for later use, whereas quite many others deem it much better to use tomorrow’s money toda y.Personally, I side with the former. Firstly, saving money can reli eve one’s anxiety in case of accidents, disease or other mishaps. As we all know, when one faces such tragedies as fir damage or fatal dise ase, one would need a large amount of money to survive such difficulti es. Secondly, saving money can give one a sense of fulfillment. Since most people work hard every day, they will be quiet happy and satisfied with his “achievement” when they find they have accumulated a large deposit in the bank. Thirdly, saving money allows one to give a help ing hand to others. With money available at the moment, one can offer badly needed help to those in temporary difficulty, say, those who are suffering from flood, famine, a car accident, or things like that. Yet taking a loan from a bank is often too costly. Thus, the timely help w ill be rewarded with gratitude.A dependable friendship will eventually be fostered. To sum up, sa ving money does have many advantages. Indeed, it is an important aspec t of the Chin ese conception of virtue. Therefore, let’s start saving money from today on.2.大学四级英语口语考试范文篇二Frustration is unavoidable in life. Faced with frustration, some p eople are defeated while others conquer it and succeed. In the long hi story of human beings, many people have set a good example for us.Strong-minded person cannot be defeated by frustration. It is frus tration that will breed success. Zhang Haidi is a case in point. Disab led as she is, she obtained the master degree in Philosophy and acquir ed four foreign languages. As far as we know, Edison had made experime nts for eight thousand times on more than seven thousand kinds of mate rials before the electric light was invented. As the old saying goes, our greatest glory consists not in falling, but in rising every time w e fall. All in all, when the unexpected frustration comes, we must set up the courage to conquer it. Furthermore, we should learn from our failu res so that we steer ourselves through failures next time and embark o n the road to success.3.大学四级英语口语考试范文篇三In recent years, to get a certificate Why does this craze appear? To begin with, it is the employment pressure that forces college s tudents to get more certificates. With the admission expansion of coll eges, a lot more graduates have to face the fierce competition in the job market. How can one make himself more competitive? More certificat es at hand, maybe. Furthermore, diploma and certificates are still vit al standards by which a good many employers measure a person’s abilit y. In order to increase the qualifications for a job, the students com pel themselves to run from one exam to another. From my point of view, we should be more rational when it comes to certificates, since certificates do not necessarily prove one’s abili ty. Being crazy in getting certificates blindly is nothing but wasting time. To conclude, we should focus on improving our ability but not ge tting a certificate of no practical value.4.大学四级英语口语考试范文篇四In recent years, there are people in expanding numbers who have pa rticipated in the test for civil servants. Millions of students choose civil servant as their most ideal occupation after graduation. And amo ng them, the high-educated, like masters and doctors, take quite a lar ge percentage. The craze in civil servant test has attracted widesprea d attention. The following fundamental causes can account for this kind of craz e. First and foremost, nowadays college students face great employment pressure. Civil servant, as one of the most stable professions in toda y’s China, becomes their preferable choice. Moreover, recently, the w elfare and salary of civil servants have been improved greatly, which undoubtedly attracts many people. Last but not least, the high social position of civil servants is a crucial factor drawing many people to take part in the civil servant test.In my opinion, this craze in civil servant test will continue in t he following years. However, from the long run, it does not do good to the development of our nation. If most high quality talents gather inthe government departments, it might lead to a waste of resources. Acc ordingly, both the individuals and the government should have a more o bjective recognition of the civil servant test craze.5.大学四级英语口语考试范文篇五Years of reform and opening up to the outside world have witnessed an increasing popularity of telephones in China. 1 FriendshipA life without a friend is a life without a sun. Friendship is one of the most important things in everyone's life.Friends are who changes your life just by being a part of it, who makes you believe that there really is good in the world, who convinces you that there really is an unlock door just waiting for you to open it.When you’re down, friends lift you up. When you lose your way, friends guide you and cheer you on.So cherish your friend,Do not save your loving speeches, for your friends till they are deadDo not write them on their tombstones, speak them rather now instead2 Dream,Everyone has a dream. Now I want to say something about my dream. What is my dream? I often ask myself. In my mind, everyone shall have his own dream. I think that having a dream means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve the target. As long as we have a goal to be realized, we won’t be blind at least. My dream is to become a successful doctor, helping those sick people and saving their lives. Of course, to be a good doctor is very difficult, but I will do whatever I can do to keep everyone healthy. That's my dream. I want to try my best to help the poor sick people of our country. I want to let them have an opportunity to receive excellent treatments for their illnesses without having to pay much or just enjoy them free. China is a developing country which needs good medicine and good doctors, especially in the countryside and distant villages. Now I’m a junior student on Gr ade One, all my classmates and I are working hard. We all know that the entrance exam of high schools coming in the year of 2009 is a big challenge for us, so we must study harder and harder in order to go to a good high school. Thus after we finish our senior high school, we are able to go to a good university. I feel life is fill with hope and is colorful, and I have enough confidence to realize my dream.I know that fantasy is something hard to realize, but dream can. I’ll work hard for my dreams, I’ll never give up.3 Cyber lovecyber-love is neither good nor bad. As we all know, every coin has two sides. So does cyber-love. It also has its merits as well as demerits. As for me, I would rather pour my love to someone whom I can see, speakto, stay with than a virtual person in the invisible cyber world. The cyber-love is usually based on people’s imagination instead of the reality. Consequently, it seems as beautiful and sweet as a red red rose in people’s mind. However,it is quite frail without the nutritious earth around it. The rootless rose is likely to die someday. So don’t stake all your pure love on cyber-live, which is uncertain and beyond your control at times.4 ScienceNowadays, the science technology in our country China is more and more developed. We can buy ourselves many digital things and enjoy them. With the science technology,we are convenient to live in the world. Also, our life becomes more beautiful and comfortable. As a student, I should study hard. When I grow up,I will make contribute to people in the world.5 Growing upGrowing up means making my own decisions. When I grow up, I want to be an engineer. I want to build a big house and a small house for my father and mother. We will live together. There will be a garden and playground in front of the house. We will grow beautiful flowers and fruit trees in the garden. We will grow grass in the playground.I will buy a big car. I will take my father and mother to many places.1 friendFriends are very important in our life.Without friends our life will be not completely beautiful.I have many friends, but my best friend is Janet. She is really a lovely girl, especially her curly hair. She is very kind and generous. Our relation are very good.We love each other very much.We are very close to each other. We have the same hobbies, both of us like watching movie and listening to the music. When we have free time,we usually go shopping together. And of course,we always study together. She takes care of me as my sister,I really hope that we will be best friends forever!2 travelingWhy do More and More People Enjoy Traveling? It's reported that during golden weeks, such as National Day,New Year's Day and May Day,almost all the high roads are filled with private cars, going to travel -destination places and all the hotels and restaurants are full of tourists. What's more,in some countries with beautiful scenic spots, more than one-third of the visitors are Chinese. All of these suggests one thing that more and more Chinese people are enjoying traveling. But why?In my opinion, here are the reasons.First of all,as a matter of fact, with the progress of the society and development of the economy,a large quantity of people are getting richer and richer, they would like to go to a newplace to expand their visions,to know more about the outsideworld.Second, with the increasing of the living standard, the present way of life can't meet their needs anymore, they long eagerly for a new lifestyle, like traveling, going climbing and so on.3 weekendsI have many things to do on my weekends. I get up early in the morning to do exercises in the park with my grandparents. Then my mum takes me to do some interesting things. We can read in the library, go shopping in the shops and play badminton in the garden. We will have a big supper in KFC and i like it very much. At nights, i will prepare to go to school, have a shower and go to sleep early. How happy i am!4 Time is moneyAs we all know. Money is precious, so is time. As a result, we can come to the conclusion that time is money. To the majority of people, it seems to be logical and true. However, if we probe deeper into the question, probably, well have another answer.Time can be turned into money. A wise businessman spends more time in producing goods. With the quality and quantity of his products going up, he can easily make big money. But can we turn money into time? Just imagine, when a millionaire with a large possession of money is dying, what does he wish to buy with all his money? One more year or one more day to live longer? But can he? Of course not.And what's more, time can do a lot of things that money cannot do. Just imagine, a student who is weak at maths wants to pass the exam, he has to be hardworking and spend more time to make rapid progress. If he just pays some money, can he pass the exam? Of course not!So we can say time and money are not equal. Time is more than money. Everyone has the same allotment of time. Some put the limited time into making money, some put it into serving people heart and soul, and others put it into studies. How do you spend your time, ladies and gentlemen? That's a question for all of us, which is worth thinking over.5 College lifeWhen I was in high school , I had dreamt of having a wonderful life in college . First of all , I should get up early in the morning rather than sleep late , even on the weekends, then I can do some exercises as body building .Second , I should go to the library , of course , not just for novels , other kinds of books like maths , English are included . if I still have some spare tie , I will find apart-time job . in this way , I could gain some money and what is the most important, experience , I can know more about the real world .As having mentioned above , I have been thinking about the ideal life on campus .Some famous people had describe it for all of us ,an ideal campus should be such place for contemplation and inspiration , the enthusiasm for knowledge can get us out of bed early in the morning and stay up late at night .With pluralistic culture ,we should be changed greatly ,we may found the way we think , the prejudices are challenged ,and in the campus ,we could learn how to learn, I think all these are needed in an ideal campus .I hope to enrich myself during the next four years .i hope to have a colorful life .And I will try.。

大学生英语口语竞赛d类作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Best Day at SchoolHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade at Oakdale Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about the best day I ever had at school. It was so awesome, I'll never forget it!It all started out as a pretty normal day. My mom woke me up at 7am like she does every morning for school. I had scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast, my favorite! Then I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and my dad drove me to school. When I got to my classroom, my best friend Jake was already there. "Timmy!" he shouted, "Did you hear? We're going on a field trip today!""No way!" I said, so excited I could hardly stand it. Field trips are the best days ever at school. We don't have to do any work really, we just get to go somewhere fun!Our teacher Mrs. Robertson came in and told us to take our seats. Once we settled down, she revealed where we'd be going on our field trip. "We're going to the science museum today, class!"Jake and I looked at each other with huge grins. The science museum has all sorts of cool exhibits and interactive stuff. This was going to be an awesome day. After going over the rules for the field trip, we all got on the bus. Jake and I raced to get a seat at the very back. We were jamming out and singing along terribly to the music on the bus ride. Some of the other kids joined in too. By the time we got to the museum, we were all laughing and feeling great. The museum was even better than I remembered from my last trip there a couple years ago. They had new robot exhibits that would move and talk and practically come alive right in front of your eyes! There were also tons of hands-on experiments we could try.My favorite was this one setup where you could build your own little car out of LEGOs and other materials. Then you'd put it on this ramp and let it go to see how far it would roll. Jake and I spent forever trying to build the perfect aerodynamic cars to go the farthest. For lunch we had a pizza party right there in the museum cafeteria. A couple of my other friends spilled some soda, but that just made it more fun. We were being a little loud, but Mrs. Robertson didn't seem to mind too much. After lunch we explored the space exhibits. I loved checking out the model rockets and pretending to be an astronaut. They had a whole section on the moon and planets too. Jake and I joked about being the first kids on Mars one day.Too soon, it was time to get back on the bus and head to school. We were all kind of dragging from篇2My Big Adventures in School This Year!Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm in the 5th grade. I've had such an exciting year at school and I want to tell you all about my big adventures! It all started on the very first day of school back in September. I was feeling pretty nervous because I didn't know anybody in my new class. But then I met Emily during recess and we instantly became best friends! Emily's really cool - she lovesreading comic books and playing soccer just like me. We've had so much fun together this year.A few weeks into the school year, our teacher Mr. Jenkins announced that our class would be going on a huge field trip to the science museum! I had never been to a science museum before so I could hardly wait. The museum was huge with towering dinosaur skeletons, a planetarium to see the stars and planets, and tons of hands-on experiments. My favorite part was the electricity ball where you get statically charged and your hair literally sticks straight up! Emily and I looked like crazy scientists with our hair puffed out. It was hilarious!Later in the fall, our school held its annual book fair. They set up this whole mini book store right in the library with books, posters, games and more. I just love reading new books so the book fair was like heaven for me. I spent all my saved up allowance money and came home with a gigantic stack of books about space, unicorns, and this really cool mystery series. Emily and I formed a book club just so we'd have a group to discuss all the awesome books we got.In December, it was time for the school's big Holiday Show where all the grades perform songs and plays for our families. Our class did a mini-musical about Santa getting ready forChristmas. I played one of Santa's elves and had to learn a bunch of silly singing and dancing routines. It was kind of embarrassing at first, but once we were up on stage performing it ended up being a blast! My parents said I was hilarious with my pointy elf hat and red outfit. I'm really proud that I didn't mess up my lines or dances. This winter, we got tons of snow days from three huge blizzards that came through. It was awesome having all those random days off from school! Emily and I spent the days having epic snowball fights, making snow angels, and building the most ginormous snow fort you've ever seen. We thought we'd get in trouble for tracking dirty snow prints all through the house but our parents didn't even mind. Playing in the snow for hours is just about the most fun a kid can have!In the spring, our school kicked off its reading challenge competition. The goal was for every kid to read as many books as possible over a month with prizes for the top readers. Of course Emily and I were determined to come out on top. We bunkered down at home, at the library, in treehouses - anywhere we could read in peace. By the end, I had read 27 chapter books while Emily readan astonishing 31! It was an intense battle of the bookworms. We were both amazed at how many books we coulddevour when motivated. I ended up winning third place in the whole school and got a bunch of cool prizes like books and gift cards!Just last month, Emily's mom took us to see a traveling play that came through town. I had never actually been to a real play before. It was a hilarious comedy all about the zany adventures of a middle school girl and her quirky family. The actors were incredible, doing all these funny voices andcrazy stunts on stage.I laughed so hard my stomach hurt by the end! Afterwards we got to go backstage and one of the actors showed us all the costumes, props and sets they used. Seeing that gave me a whole new appreciation for how much work goes into putting on a show like that. Finally, the school year is wrapping up with our awesome 5th grade graduation ceremony next week! I can't believe I'll be an official middle schooler after this. Our whole class gets to dress up, walk across the big stage, and receive our diplomas. I'm feeling a mix of sadness to be leaving elementary school and my friends, but also really excited for the next big adventure of middle school. Maybe I'll even join the drama club or start a book club there too!So that's been my incredibly jam-packed, fun-filled year at school! Between my new best friend, the amazing field trips, the big performances, battling the biggest snowstorms, becoming a reading superstar, getting exposed to theater, and now graduating to middle school - I've had more adventures than I could have ever imagined when the year began. I'm just a regular kid but I feel like I've been on one epic journey. I can't wait to see what my next school year will have in store!篇3My Big Adventure at Summer CampHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I just got back from the best summer ever at Camp Wildwood and I can't wait to tell you all about my big adventure! It all started when my mom and dad told me I was going to sleep-away camp for the whole summer. At first, I was really nervous because I'd never been away from home that long before. But they said it would be really fun and I'd make lots of new friends. I wasn't so sure, but I tried to have an open mind. The first day of camp, my parents drove me up to the big log cabins in the woods. I had a lump in my throat saying goodbye, but the counselors were so nice and energetic that I started tofeel excited. They showed me to my cabin and I met my bunkmates - there were 8 boys total, all around my age.The first few days were kind of overwhelming with so many new faces and activities. We had to make our own beds, help set the tables, and do all these chores I didn't have to do at home. I missed my room and my video games. But soon I started to get into the groove of things. My favorite activities were canoeing, archery, and outdoor cooking. I'll never forget the first time I shot an arrow and hit the target - I just about jumped for joy! Canoeing on the lake was beautifully peaceful, except for when we accidently tipped over and got soaked. For cooking, we made hobo pies and banana boats over the campfire. They were sticky and delicious! At night, we had campf篇4My Big Adventure at the Science MuseumHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I just had the most amazing day at the science museum in our city and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started when my mom told me we were going on a "field trip" to learn about science. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really excited. When we got to the huge museum building, I could hardly believe my eyes! It looked like a massive spaceship had landed right in the middle of downtown. The first exhibit we went to was all about dinosaurs. There were these gigantic skeletons and fossil bones stretching all the way up to the ceiling. My favorite was the T-Rex - its teeth were bigger than my whole hand! The tour guide said the T-Rex was the "king of the dinosaurs" because of how fierce and powerful it was. I wouldn't want to meet one of those in a dark alley, that's for sure!Next up was the biology section, and let me tell you, some of that stuff was pretty gross! There were displays showing how the human body works, including our guts and intestines. My friend Jacob nearly puked when he saw the realistic model of the inside of a stomach. But I thought it was all really fascinating to learn about. Did you know the small intestine in an adult is over 20 feet long? No way!The part I liked best though was the physics and astronomy area. It was like being in a spaceship! There were replicas of the planets and moons hanging from the ceiling. I got to experiencewhat it feels like to walk on the moon thanks to this speciallow-gravity simulator. It was trippy! You had to bunny hop everywhere because with less gravity, jumping was way easier. Sign me up to be an astronaut! There was also this crazy spinning thing that demonstrated the forces of centrifugal and centripetal motion. Watching it spin around and around made me feel a little queasy at first. But once I stepped inside and it started whirling, it was unbelievable! No matter which way it spun, I stayed stuck to the walls. My dad said it was like those swirly teacup rides at the amusement park, but a million times cooler.I have to admit, by the time we finished up in the museum, my brain was pretty fried from taking in so much new information. But you know what? I loved every second of it! Hanging out with my parents and learning about the world we live in through all those interactive exhibits was probably the funnest "school day" I've ever had.Who knows, after an experience like that, maybe I'll grow up to be a famous scientist or astronaut someday. All I know is that trip to the science museum opened my eyes to how incredibly amazing our universe really is. There's so much left to explore and discover. I can't wait to go on my next big adventure!篇5My Amazing Adventure at the ZooHi everyone! My name is Timmy, and I want to tell you about my amazing adventure at the zoo. It was the best day ever! Let me share all the fun things I saw and did.First, let me tell you about the animals. There were so many different kinds of animals at the zoo. I saw lions, tigers, and bears! Oh my! They were big and strong. I also saw elephants, and they were huge! I couldn't believe my eyes. They were so fascinating. One of my favorite animals was the giraffe. They have such long necks and beautiful spots. I learned that giraffes are the tallest animals in the world. Wow! I felt like a giraffe when I stood next to them. It was so cool.Next, I went to see the monkeys. They were swinging from tree to tree and making funny sounds. I giggled and tried to imitate them. I even made some new monkey friends. We pretended to swing from branches just like the monkeys. It was a lot of fun! After that, I visited the penguins. They were waddling around and swimming in the water. Penguins are so cute! I watchedthem slide on their bellies. It looked like they were having a race.I laughed so hard. I wish I could slide like a penguin. But the best part of my adventure was when I visited the petting zoo. I got to touch and feed some friendly animals. There were cute bunnies, fluffy sheep, and even a baby goat! The goat was very playful and jumped all around. I felt so happy when I held the soft bunnies in my hands. They were like little balls of fur.Besides the animals, there were also fun shows at the zoo. I watched a dolphin show and saw them jump high in the air. They were so clever and did tricks. I clapped my hands and cheered for them. The zookeeper also showed us some birds that could talk. They said funny things and made us laugh. It was like a magic show! Before I left the zoo, I bought a souvenir to remember my adventure. I chose a stuffed lion toy. It's soft and cuddly, just like a real lion. Now, whenever I look at it, I remember all the amazing animals I saw.Visiting the zoo was an incredible experience. I learned so much about different animals and had so much fun. If you ever get a chance, you should visit the zoo too. I promise you'll have the best time ever, just like me!That's the end of my story. Thank you for listening. I hope you enjoyed hearing about my adventure at the zoo. Bye-bye!篇6My Big AdventuresHi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm 8 years old. Today I want to tell you all about some of the biggest adventures I've had in my life so far. Get ready for some amazing stories! The first big adventure I had was when I went camping with my family in the mountains. We packed up our tent, sleeping bags, food, and other supplies and drove for hours and hours. Finally we made it to the campsite deep in the forest. Everything was so green and beautiful! We had to hike a little way to get to our camping spot carrying all our heavy gear. My little brother Sam started complaining right away that his backpack was too heavy. Typical Sam!Once we set up the tent, my dad started making a campfire. He's really good at that. While the fire was getting going, my mom told me and Sam to go explore a bit but not to go too far. We found a little stream nearby and spent time skipping rocks and looking for cool bugs and stuff. I even saw a deer drinkingfrom the stream! It was getting dark so we headed back to the campsite for hot dogs and s'mores. Yum!Sleeping in the tent that night was crazy. The sounds of all the critters moving around outside were so loud. At one point I was sure I heard a bear! I was a little scared but also excited to be out in nature like that. The next morning we went on a hike and I saw even more cool plants and animals. We had a contest to see who could identify the most stuff from my nature book. I totally won, of course. Camping was an amazing adventure that I'll never forget. My next big adventure was when I got to go on an airplane for the first time ever! My aunt got married in California so my whole family flew out there. I had never been on a plane before so I was really nervous but also really excited. The flight felt like it took forever. I asked my mom about a million times if we were there yet. Finally we could see Los Angeles out the window as we came in for landing. What a huge city! The best part was getting to be a flower girl at the wedding. I got to wear a beautiful white dress and carry a little basket of flower petals to scatter down the aisle as I walked. I practiced really hard so I wouldn't mess it up. The wedding was outside in a garden and everything looked so pretty. During the reception, Igot to go dance and play with my cousins who I didn't get to see very often since they lived so far away. I even got to go swimming in the big hotel pool! That California trip was the best time ever. One last amazing adventure I have to tell you about is when I went to Disney World with my family in Florida. We started planning the trip about a year in advance because my parents wanted to make sure we did it right and didn't miss anything. We stayed at a Disney hotel right inside the park grounds. It was like being in a whole different world! The parks were even bigger and more incredible than I could have imagined. I rode all the classic Disney rides like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and the Haunted Mansion. My favorite was definitely the Jungle Cruise though. The tour guides were so silly and funny. We also got to see the amazing fireworks show, parades, and other shows. Meeting the Disney characters in person for hugs and photos was a dream come true! What made it extra special was getting to spend the whole week just having fun with my mom, dad, and Sam. No school, no work, just nonstop memory making. Sam and I still talk about how amazing Disney was all the time. We can't wait to go back again one day!Well, those are three of the biggest adventures I've been lucky enough to have so far in my 8 years. Getting to travel to new places, see incredible things, and make unforgettable memories with my family is the best. I feel like a really fortunate kid. Who knows where my next big adventure will take me? I'll just have to wait and see. But I know there are many more amazing experiences waiting for me out there in this great big world! Thanks for listening!。
Let’s learn from each other and help each otherHelping others is a good traditional virtue of Chinese people, if we help each other, our society would be more harmony. Learning from each other is also important for everyone, as the saying goes , nothing is best but there are things better. In today's society, competition between us is more and more intense, we should have awareness that we should help and learn from each other to make ourselves better. Everyone has his advantage,we can learn from others' advantage to make up the part that we are not good at.Internationally, we also can find that countries help and learn from each other to make itself develop better. Communications between countries become more and more frequently. It's frequently seen that when one country is in help, other countries would offer help quickly. Such as the earthquake happened in Wenchuan, the tsunami happened in Indonesia and so on.Help and learn from others is a sign of loving each other. With help from others, it can be easier for us to do things, and with learning from others, we can be better and better. Lessons a person could learn from having a roommateOne of the most important aspects of breaking away from mom and dad and attending school away from home is meeting new people from all walks of life. You may not use your roommate as a "guide" or parent surrogate, as some have suggested. But, having a roommate can definitely help a person free himself from his shell and learn how to socialize with all kinds of different people. I learned a lot and, at least partially, I have roommates to thank for it. I would have my share our happy things, and I learned from other people's sense of humor, sense of place in the world, sense of belonging. If I'd never had a roommate , I probably would have gotten approximately the same grades in the same classes and learned the same things-in the classroom. Having a roommate, especially in a year, can help one learn this life's lesson .My own experience says that you're much better off if you do.They can start college as lifelong best buddies yet stop speaking to each other by mid-terms. They can meet for the first time the week before classes begin and end up the godparents of each other’s children in later years.A victimless crimeA crime is a violation of established law, but not all crimes have a readily identifiable victim. A victimless crime is one where an act that violates an established law is committed, without leaving a victim behind; that is, there is no resulting damage to a person or property. In these cases, there is usually no victim because the illegal activity was consensually entered into. For this reason, victimless crimes are often called consensual crimes. The concept of a victimless crime often plays a role in the proposed repeal of certain laws, especially the criminalization of drugs, prostitution and other vices. The argument presented by civil libertarians is that such laws only serve to punish citizens for personal lifestyle decisions which do not violate the legal rights of others. A citizen should be allowed to purchase and smoke marijuana legally, for example, because his or her private consumption in a private home does not affect anyone else's personal rights. Decriminalizing certain victimless crimes would reduce the prison population and take significant pressure off an overworked judicial system. Information found on the Internet The World Wide Web offers information and data from all over the world. Because so much information is available, and because that information can appear to be fairly “anonymous”, it is necessary to develop skills to evaluate what you find. When you use a research or academic library, the books, journals and other resources have already been evaluated by scholars, publishers and librarians. Every resource you find has been evaluated in one way or another before you ever see it. When you are using the World Wide Web, none of this applies. There are no filters. Because anyone can write a Web page, documents of the widest range of quality, written by authors of the widest range of authority, are available on an even playing field. Excellent resources reside along side the most dubious. The Internet epitomizes the concept of Caveat lector: Let the reader beware. This document discusses the criteria by which scholars in most fields evaluate print information, and shows how the same criteria can be used to assess information found on the Internet.Old people in the workforce Workplaces are dynamic, not static. Older workers are not a homogeneous group; each is a unique individual with strengths and weaknesses. Older workers can have a positive impact on the workplace and work outcomes when their background and skills are matched to the task at hand. There are demonstrable financial and personal health benefits, particularly mental health benefits, which potentially lead to reduced public health costs. And the positive impact of workforce reliability and stability of older workers on the‘business bottom line’ should not be underestimated. More needs to be done to improve workforce participation of older workers.Older people need to work, and workplaces of the future need older workers. The key is sound public policy, public and private sector collaboration, and inspirational leaders who rise to the challenge, embrace employee diversity and realise the potential of flexible workplaces. With the ageing population and skills shortage, attributing common characteristics to all older workers and negative stereotyping is counterproductive. We need to celebrate the advances in public health contributing to this longevity and capitalise on the benefits that age and experience bring to society in general and the workplace in particular. The media plays an important role in countering these negative attitudes and stereotypes My first encounter with DisneyMy first memory of a family vacation was to Walt DIeny World Resorts in Florida. I was seven and could not beli e ve that I was getting to go Disney. I remember being at the Magic Kingdom and surround e d by these enormous hats. For some unexplained reason I had to try them all on, and found such joy in doing it. I play a roller coaster, pirate ships, merry-go-round etc recreation facilities, these are the first time I, I overcame her to play exciting mobile game, this for my future very helpful, this was a very pleasant journey, lifetime! Every time I have come back I smile at the hats I still find all over the Disney Resort. Of course I try them on and remember the fun, excitement and love of our family vacation. How different populations compare with each otherThe lifestyle in a city and in a countryside are very different because there are infrastructures in cities but there are not in countryside, like transports, high buildings that make the landscape very different. In the countryside, it's an agricultural lifestyle, where you'll find the peasants. If you compare the populations between cities and countryside, you will find the population of countryside older than in cities. The people in countryside tend to be friendlier. Since it's small, everybody knows each other. But in cities since it's sometimes so big that people are very distant from each other, there's no real connection, and that leads to indifferenceIs EQ more valuable than IQHave you heard about this idea called "EQ"? It's like IQ, but instead of measuring how smart you are, it's a way of thinking about how good a person is at dealing with the emotional aspects of life. It seems to me that the current educational model puts too much emphasis on IQ and not enough on EQ, and maybe that's part of person things turn out so tragically sometimes. Hmm, that's interesting: so instead of just depending on education, IQ, family background, and luck, maybe success depends on a person's EQ as well. Oh, definitely. In fact, it's becoming more and more common for companies to give a questionnaire to job applicants that tries to determine the person's EQ, in addition to looking at their school and employment history. Then it really is important for our educational system to help students become more emotionally mature and self-reliant, because in addition to preventing really tragic outcomes like suicide, a good EQ is important for everyone's success.lessons a person could learn from having a roommateIn my opinion, to have a roommate is a good thing when you study at a boarding school. You can learn many things from having a roommate. First of all, you should learn how to make friends with your roommate. You need to be sincere and considerate. Only when you treat a person with all your heart, can you win him/her over. Sharing a room with someone is somewhat like living in a family, so you need to learn to help each other when you both meet with difficulties. Last but not the least, don't forget to share what you feel especially when you are unhappy,he/she might be a great help. You certainly learn a lot if you have a roommate.。
大学英语考试口语作文Test 2On Keeping a Diary in EnglishKeeping a diary in English is one of the effective ways to improve our English writing ability. It can help us to cultivate the habit of thinking in English. If we persist in this practice, gradually we’ll learn how to express ourselves in English. As far as I’m concerned, my suggestion is that we should always have a notebook and a Chinese-English dictionary within easy reach. Whenever something beats us, we can first put it down in our notebook and then consult our dictionary. We can also turn to our English teacher for help, if necessary. In short, I believe that it is of great use to keep a diary in English for the development of our writing skills.Test 3Keeping PetsWith the rise of people’s living standard, keeping pets is becoming a fashionable activity in China. More and more pet markets are set up across the nation, in which various kinds of pets are available. Over the past few years, even the prices of pets have been on the rise. Some people would spend several thousand yuan on a smart dog or a rare bird. If you are strolling along the streets in the evening, you’ll see a lot of people walking dogs.People keep pets for different reasons. For most families, pets are lovely, sensitive creatures with whom they are able to communicate. They keep them just for fun and pleasure. As for some adults, playing with their pets is their favorite form of relaxation after a day’s work. As for children, it seems that there are no better friends or companions they can find than a funny-looking dog or a clever cat. However, for some people, keeping pets is only a display of their wealth. By owning an expensive dog or bird, they intend to show off how wealthy they are.I, myself, don’t see anything wrong with keeping pets. I think the love that exists between us human and animals can be even more strongly felt while we are feeding a pet. It is this harmonious relationship between human and animals that contributes to the balance of nature.Test 4Job Problems for College GraduatesNowadays, college graduates find it more and more difficult to get a rewarding job, and worst of all, many of them can’t find jobs in their specialties. But why does that take place? The possible reasons are as follows:Firstly, what the students have learned in colleges or universities can’t meet the demand of the development of industries. For one thing, the courses offered by colleges are so outdated that it’s hard for those graduates to translate their book knowledge into real job skills. For another, the students haven’t been taught how to combine the theory with practice. Secondly, it’s hard to make a choice between a well-paid job and a favorite one. They will take correct attitudes towards their studies so that the teachers needn’t always urge them to work hard.Test 7Parental Hopes and Personal DesiresObligations to our parents are very important. So we’ll be upset if we unwillingly act on their hopes. We’d better find a way which can make ourselves happy while pleasing our parents at the same time. It’s necessary for us to exchange our thoughts with our parents from time to time so that we can narrow the gap between us. On the one hand, you have to go on working hard as there are a lot of subjects for you to learn. On the other hand, in high school, teachers will probably tell you what to learn and how to learn in details, and will also monitor your learning performance, while in college, teachers work like tour guides and you have to find your own way to acquire knowledge and solve problems. For you, I think to be optimistic is very important. If you hope to adapt yourself to the new environment, you’d better be positive no matter what difficulties you will experience in your college life. May you adjust yourself to the college life as soon as possible!Truly yours,Carl。
