一、课型:Listening and speaking
二、教材分析
本模块以谈论中外伟人和他们的著作为话题,要求学生听懂、读懂有关评价名著的对话,同时正确掌握被动语态的基本结构以及一般现在时的被动语态。
三、教学对象分析
1、本学期学生已经进入初三的学习,有了前两年扎实的基础,对于一定的文学常识也会有所了解,因此,关于孔子、莎士比亚及马克吐温的讨论也应该会顺利展开;
2、初次接触被动语态的学习,学生在对其感悟的基础上会试着想去尝试在表达中使用它,这恰好符合了听说课的特点,教师应多为学生创造练习和展示的机会;
3、学生还需要教师在学习策略和情感态度方面的给予规范和引领。
四、教学目标
1、知识和技能目标(词汇、语音、语法、功能、话题)(行为目标描述,可测量)
(1)词汇:能够正确使用下列单词和词组:work, influence, thought, wise, copy, as far as, not…any more, millions of理解下列单词和词组:thinker, What’s up? Monthly, literature (2)语音:正确朗读带有一般现在时被动语态的句子。
(3)语法:掌握一般现在时的被动语态的概念和用法。
(4)功能:掌握表示同意和不同意的表达方式,如I agree/ don’t agree with…
掌握表达观点的表达方式,如I /We think, most of us think, we think….
(5)话题:关于三位伟大作家及其著作展开讨论。
2、情感目标:读书是人类获取知识的重要途径,通过本课的学习,引导、教育学生要多读书、读好书。通过读书吸收前人的智慧,不断丰富学识和提高自身素质。
3、学习策略:
(1)在语境中感知被动语态的结构及用法。
(2)能与同学讨论、交流对文学作品的看法。
4、文化意识:加深对中国传统文化的了解,加强对西方著名作家、戏剧家及其文学作品的了解。
5、教学重点和难点:
通过听、说等过程,基本掌握被动语态的使用,能够用被动语态表达一些观点;通过本节课,进一步了解三位伟人及其作品并谈出自己的看法。
五、教学过程(英语)
Step 1. listening(Ex2)
活动1:学生看大屏幕上的三张图片,并讨论。
Look at the photo of the three great men and talk about them, such as “Who is he?”“What did he do?”“What’s his most famous works?”
[设计意图]通过多媒体把课文中所要介绍的人物直观反映给学生,可以深深吸引学生的注意力,让他们产生了强烈的求学欲望。
活动:学生听录音,做下面的连线题。
look at the information about the three great men, match the name according to what you hear.

提到Confucius的时候,可以跟学生提及听力对话中的一句话,the thought that parents and grandparents are highly respected in China is from him. 以便学生了解respect的意思和用法。
[设计意图]以听力做为导入和热身,通过听,熟悉本节课要涉及到的三个重要人物以及相关的文学常识。热身之余,让学生带着对文学的兴趣走进英语的世界。教师通过多媒体呈现答案,答案直观清晰。
Step 2. presentation
活动1:
T: How many important people did the dialogue mention just now? remember?
S: Yes, Confucius, Shakespeare, Mark Twain.
T: That’s right, so what do you know about Confucius now? As far as I know, he is respected in China.
S: As far as I know, he’s famous as a great thinker. (one possible version)
T: Yes, he is respected in China, and his works are still read by many people today. We’re still influenced by his thoughts.
Let the students practice like this.
[设计意图]能过对关于孔子的一个问答引出三句被动语态,因为之间是相互联系的,可以把它们放在一起供学生练习,达到熟悉被动语态的目的。同时,加入as far as的运用,使学生对本课出现的这一陌生短语有了初步的了解及使用感受。
活动2:
T: What do you know about Shakespeare?
S: As far as I know, he is a great writer, his plays are wonderful, and one of the greatest of his works is called Hamlet. (one possible version)
T: Yes, Shakespeare’s plays are seen by millions of people every year.
Let the students practice like this.
[设计意图]进一步操练被动语态的句子及as far as…。
活动3:
T: What do you know about Mark Twain?
S: As far as I know, he is one of my favourite writers. (one possible version)
T: Really? As far as I know, he was an important writer, but he isn’t known as a great thinker like Confucius.
Let the students practice like this.
[设计意图]再一次进行被动语态句式的操练,借用谈论三位伟人的话题,让学生对被动语态反复感受、运用,最终达到熟练的目的,同时也对as far as 的用法运用自如。
活动4:
(1)T: Have you read any works by them?
S: Yes, I have read…from …S: Not yet.
T: Really? Tell us something about it. T: It’s a pity. You’d better read some if you have time.
(2)T: I don’t have enough time to read all of them, what can I do?
S: (offer some of their advice)
